EXCURSIONS & ACTIVITIES
Extra tours and activities are organized by our local agency with a minimum participation requirement of 20 people, and participation is not mandatory. If the required number is not met, tours may not take place, or extra tour/activity prices, content, and vehicles used may vary depending on the number of participants. Additionally, the days and times of extra tours/activities may be changed by the guide based on whether museums, historical sites, or venues are open or closed, as well as weather conditions.
ACCOMMODATION
During periods such as trade fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., hotels may be located at distances greater than the specified kilometers.
Triple rooms are provided subject to hotel availability. In such rooms, the bed for the third person may be smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of one large bed and one extra bed. Since extra beds are foldable or coach beds, participants who are the third person and/or children booking in triple rooms are deemed to have accepted any potential crowding in the room and the type of bed.
Child discounts apply only to one child (1) traveling with two adults and falling within the age group specified in the pricing section.
Breakfasts included in the tour services are served according to the country's breakfast culture, typically as a limited continental menu consisting of butter, jam, bread, tea, or coffee, and may be served in a separate hall allocated exclusively for the group.
CURRENCY
The currency of Egypt is the Egyptian Pound (EGP).
It is advisable to carry Euro (EUR) and US Dollars (USD).
TIME ZONE
Egypt observes both summer and winter time.
During summer time, there is no time difference between Turkey and Egypt.
During winter time, there is a 1-hour difference between Turkey and Egypt. When it is 12:00 in Turkey, it is 11:00 in Egypt.
PHONE USAGE
Your mobile phone line must be enabled for international calls (roaming) to be usable.
CLOTHING AND ESSENTIAL ITEMS
When entering mosques and churches in the country, avoid wearing shorts, skirts, clothing that exposes shoulders, or tight-fitting garments. We recommend that women bring a thin shawl or scarf. Also, if you have hats or sunglasses, you must not wear them while inside places of worship. Both men and women must remove their shoes before entering a mosque.
FOOD CULTURE
Like many countries with coastlines, Egypt is full of fish restaurants and fish markets.
ELECTRICITY
In Egypt, electricity is 220/230 volts, and Type C (double thin round) and Type F (double thick round) sockets are used.
SHOPPING
You can purchase local handicrafts and souvenirs.
IMPORTANT NOTES
Having a valid passport and/or having obtained a visa (if required for the destination/passport) does not guarantee entry into the country. The border police have the authority to deny your entry. Küheylan Tur is not responsible for this situation; responsibility lies with the traveler.
Küheylan Tur acts as an intermediary between the passenger and the airline and is subject to the Hague Protocol of September 28, 1955. There may be risks of delays in scheduled and special flights, or flight times may change prior to the scheduled tour and flight. Küheylan Tur is obligated to notify passengers of such changes as soon as possible. Passengers purchase the tour knowing and accepting that flight details may change. Children aged 0-2 years do not pay airport taxes or airport service fees.
Panoramic city tours included in the tour package are tours lasting a maximum of 2-3 hours, organized for general introduction to cities, conducted from the vehicle with guide commentary, and do not include entrance fees to museums or historical sites. Panoramic tours, including other tours specified in the program, may not take place due to restrictions imposed by local authorities preventing access or entry on the scheduled day and time, road closures due to events, or if weather conditions make the tour impossible. In such cases, Küheylan Tur is not responsible for the inability to conduct these tours. Some tours may be conducted via public transport or on foot, where feasible, at locations where vehicle access is restricted.
