DAY 01 ISTANBUL AIRPORT – CATANIA
We will meet our valued guests at the Istanbul Airport International Departures Terminal at 03:00. After baggage drop-off, passport control, and check-in procedures, we depart for Catania on Turkish Airlines flight TK1393 at 07:00. We arrive in Catania at 08:25 local time. With our waiting vehicle, we head towards Etna. As we proceed towards Etna, we have the opportunity to take magnificent photos of Mount Etna, which embraces us with its vegetation and scenery. While ascending Europe's highest active volcano, we will see the second crater, Silvestri, at an altitude of 1800 meters. Afterwards, we continue our tour amidst beautiful views in the area formed by lava from Mount Etna. From there, we move on to Syracuse. In Syracuse, the city where the famous mathematician Archimedes lived, the Arethusa Fountain, Cathedral, Diana Fountain, and Temple of Apollo are among the places to visit. After the tour, we head to the hotel. After check-in procedures, free time is available. Overnight at our hotel.
DAY 02 SAVOCA – TAORMINA – GIARDINI NAXOS – CATANIA
After breakfast, we begin our full-day tour at the time specified in advance by our guide. In Savoca, we will see the locations where the world-famous "The Godfather" movie was filmed. Bar Vitelli and San Michele Church are among the places to visit. After passing through streets like those in a film, we head to Taormina, the pearl of the Ionian Sea and Sicily's most beautiful coastal city. After visiting this charming city with its unique scenery, location at the foot of Mount Tauro, streets, and souvenir shops, we move on to Giardini Naxos, famous for its colorful streets and volcanic beach. You can capture unforgettable moments in this historical settlement founded as Sicily's first Greek colony in 734 BC. After the visit, we return to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
DAY 03 CATANIA – CEFALU – PALERMO
After breakfast, we complete our departure procedures from the hotel and head to Catania city center. In our panoramic city tour, the Duomo Cathedral, Fontana dell'Elefante, Republic Square (Piazza della Repubblica), and Etna Street are among the places to visit. Then we head to Cefalù. In this charming fishing town located on the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea, we visit the historic cathedral dating back to the 12th century and the Fishermen's Gate, enjoying pleasant moments in its unique streets. After the tour, we arrive at our hotel in Palermo. Overnight at our hotel.
DAY 04 ERICE – CASTELLAMMARE DEL GOLFO – MONREALE – PALERMO
After breakfast, we head to Erice at the time set by our guide, a typical medieval city with its walls, stone houses with courtyards, and streets. During the free time given here, you will feel as if you are in the Middle Ages. Then we move on to Castellammare del Golfo. One of Trapani's small but impressive towns, Castellammare del Golfo stands out with its historical texture and natural beauty. Its long beach and Arab-Norman Castle are among the places to visit. Then we visit Monreale Cathedral, one of Sicily's most important structures carrying traces of Norman, Byzantine, and Islamic art. The cathedral, known for its 6,500 square meters of mosaics, is considered one of the best examples of Norman period art. Afterwards, we return to Palermo city center. Politeama Square, Quattro Canti Square, Via Roma, and Via Libertà streets are among the places to visit. Overnight at our hotel.
DAY 05 PALERMO – ISTANBUL AIRPORT
After breakfast, we complete our departure procedures from the hotel and head to Palermo Airport at the time specified by our guide. After passport and baggage procedures, we depart for Istanbul on Turkish Airlines flight TK1374 at 09:25. We arrive at Istanbul Airport at 13:00 local time, marking the end of our tour. We hope to meet again on our next tour.
