Extra care is required on this issue. It is not possible to board the plane with missing documents.
Due to changes in the relevant laws, as of 01 June 2015, a birth certificate is required from all visitors under 18. For Turkish Republic citizens, a Population Registry Sample obtained from the Population Directorates, after being translated by a sworn translator, will replace the birth certificate
NEW IMMIGRATION REGULATION
1. Children traveling with their parents
Requirements:
(i) Parents are required to present birth certificates proving that they are the parents of the child/children traveling with them.
(ii) For adopted children, parents must present an adoption certificate proving that they have adopted them.
Explanatory note:
This regulation applies both to South African citizens and to other foreigners at departure and arrival.
For passengers entering/exiting from countries that do not issue birth certificates, a document from an authorized authority that can serve as a birth certificate must be presented. All documents presented must be original or a copy certified by a notary or an equivalent authority.
2. Children traveling with only one of their parents
Requirements:
(i) Parents are required to present birth certificates proving that they are the parents of the child/children traveling with them.
(ii) A notarized consent letter from the non-traveling parent listed on the birth certificate stating that the child may enter and/or leave South Africa with the other parent must be presented.
(iii) A court order transferring all parental rights and responsibilities or legal guardianship must be presented or
(iv) In the event of the death of one of the parents listed on the birth certificate, the death certificate of the deceased parent must be presented.
(v) In cases where the non-traveling parent does not provide consent, legally divorced couples must also present a court order.
In cases where both parents have died and the child is traveling with a relative or another adult relative of the mother/father, the accompanying person must have the General Directorate confirm that they are entering or leaving the Republic of South Africa together with the child.
Explanatory note:
The consent letter may be dated at most 3 months before the travel date.
3. Children traveling with adults who are not their biological parents
Requirements:
(i) The adult must present a copy of the child’s birth certificate.
(ii) The child’s parents or legal guardian must present a consent letter stating that the person in question may travel with the child.
(iii) The child’s parents or legal guardian’s identity document or passport copies and
(iv) The child’s parents or legal guardian’s contact information must be presented.
In cases where both parents have died and the child is traveling with a relative or another adult relative of the mother/father, the accompanying person must have the Border Police confirm that they are entering or leaving the Republic of South Africa together with the child.
4. Children traveling without any adult
Requirements:
(i) For persons under 18 to travel on entry to and exit from South Africa, the mother and father, or the sole parent or legal guardian, must provide a letter or statement.
(ii) If one of the mother or father provides this document, they must also present a court decision showing that they have full guardianship rights.
(iii) A letter must be presented containing the place where the child will stay in South Africa and the residential address and contact information of the adult who will receive the child.
(iv) A copy of the identity card or valid passport and visa or permanent residence permit of the person who will receive the child in South Africa must be presented.
(v) The contact information of the child’s parents or legal guardian must be presented.
5. Children under special care as defined in the 2005 Children’s Act
Requirements:
Before leaving the Republic of South Africa, a certified copy of the permit obtained from the Provincial Department of Social Services where the child resides, as stipulated in Section 169 of the Children’s Act, must be presented.
ALCOHOL AND TOBACCO PRODUCTS THAT MAY PASS THROUGH CUSTOMS

In short, there is a limit of 1 piece of luggage and 20 kg per person.
To summarize the rules: 2 suitcases weighing 10 kg each count as excess baggage
Having 1 suitcase weighing 30 kg for 2 people also counts as excess baggage.
PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENT
This tour is organized with a minimum participation requirement of 20 people. If sufficient participation is not reached, the final cancellation notice date is 20 days before the tour start. The tour cancelled due to insufficient participation will be notified to you through your agency.

HEALTH
There is no vaccination requirement for Turkish citizens entering South Africa. We recommend that you do not drink tap water during the trip and only consume bottled water that is opened by you for the first time.

OPTIONAL TOURS & ACTIVITIES
Optional tours and activities are organized by the local agency we work with, with a minimum participation requirement of 20 people, and participation is not mandatory. If the required number is not reached, the excursions cannot be carried out or the prices, content, and vehicles used for the optional tour/activity may vary according to the number of participants. In addition, the days and times of optional tours/activities may be changed by the guide depending on the open/closed status of museums, archaeological sites, or venues at the destinations and on weather conditions.
ACCOMMODATION
During periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., hotels may be used at distances greater than those specified in km.
Triple rooms may be provided depending on hotel availability, and in such rooms the bed provided for the 3rd person may be smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed and 1 extra bed. Since extra beds are foldable/collapsible or coach beds, participants are deemed to have accepted the possible tightness in the rooms and the bed type in 3rd person and/or child reservations.
Child discounts apply only to one (1) child staying with 2 adults and matching the age group specified in the pricing section.
The breakfasts included in the services in the tour program are served in accordance with the breakfast culture of the country visited and generally with a limited menu called continental breakfast, consisting of butter, jam, bread, tea, or coffee, and may be served in a separate hall allocated to the group for groups.
CURRENCY
The currency of South Africa is the South African Rand (ZAR). You may bring both currencies with you, but USD must have been printed in 2000 or later. Otherwise, exchange offices want to exchange the money at a lower rate.
TIME ZONE
It is 1 hour behind Turkey. When it is 12:00 in Turkey, it is 11:00 in South Africa.
PHONE USE
All mobile phone operators can be used if your phone is open to international roaming. However, there may be no network coverage in some parts of the country.
CLOTHING AND ESSENTIAL ITEMS
We recommend that you bring clothing suitable for the season temperatures that can be easily put on and taken off (coat, sweater, etc.).
CUISINE
In South Africa, in general, they have created a mixed cuisine culture inspired by Malaysian and European cuisine. Fresh vegetables and fruit are always on their tables.
SHOPPING
In South Africa, where the world’s largest gold mines are located and which is the country producing the most gold, the first product that comes to mind for shopping is jewelry. In jewelry stores, you can find beautiful and specially designed accessories together. In addition, you can buy sculptures made by local people at the markets, carved wooden products, handmade leather items, and glass products made by glass artisans.

Having a valid passport and/or having obtained a visa (for destinations/passports requiring a visa) does not mean that entry into the country is guaranteed. The passport police has the authority to deny you entry into the country. The agency is not responsible for this situation; responsibility belongs to the passenger.
The agency is an intermediary between the airline and the passenger and is subject to the Hague Protocol of 28.09.1955. There may be a risk of delay on scheduled and special flights, or the hours may change before the current tour and flight. The agency is obliged to notify these changes as soon as possible. Our passengers have purchased the tour knowing and accepting that flight details may change. Children aged 0-2 do not pay airport tax and airport service fee.
The panoramic city tours included in the tour package are tours organized for the general introduction of the cities and lasting at most 2-3 hours, performed panoramically from inside the vehicle with guide narration, not including museum and archaeological site entrances. The agency is not responsible if the panoramic tours, including other tours specified in the program, cannot be carried out on the day and time of the tour due to routes that local authorities do not allow to be visited or entered, or due to closed roads caused by any event, or when the tour becomes impossible due to weather conditions. Some tours may be carried out by public transport or on foot where possible, in places where roads are closed or vehicle access is not allowed.
