We can describe cruise ships as floating deluxe hotels equipped with the latest technology. You can follow the daily program listing the activities from the ship’s newspaper distributed to your cabin every evening. Think of this newspaper as a bulletin containing all the information about what will happen on board that day, including all activities, the weather, information about the port of call, and reservation contact details for specialty restaurants or the spa. The most widely spoken language on board is English. If you are traveling on a program with a Turkish-speaking guide, our guide will assist you with everything from the ship’s bulletins to restaurant menus and prepare special bulletins for our valued guests.
When boarding the ship, you must hand in your luggage and passport and provide your credit card details at the check-in desk located at the ship’s entrance; a deposit will be taken for possible expenses. After your passport is handed over at the beginning of the journey, it will only be returned to you at the end of the tour. Once you have submitted your passport to the ship, you will be given a Boarding Card. This card serves as your passport, the key to your cabin, and the card you will use for all transactions on board. Your first and last name, cabin number, dining seating, and various other details are printed on the Boarding Card.
There is a dress code for passengers on cruise ships. As the ship hosts special events such as the captain’s welcome dinner and gala night, we kindly ask you to bring elegant and classic clothing. You can follow events such as gala night, the welcome dinner, and other special events through the ship’s newspaper mentioned above. The dress code is also indicated in the bulletin.
Cruise ships have buffet restaurants where you can eat at almost any time of the day, for 20 hours a day. In addition to breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the main restaurant included in your fare, fast-food venues and buffets are available. There are also specialty restaurants on board, such as a Thai restaurant and a steakhouse. You can make an advance reservation at these restaurants and enjoy special dishes prepared by expert chefs. Themed restaurants are subject to an additional charge.
Cruise ships offer many facilities and activities for families with children. There are children’s pools and kids’ clubs where children can spend time on board.
Cruise ships are designed by engineers not to rock during the journey, and ship captains are specially trained. Smoking is prohibited in all indoor areas of the ship, including your cabin. You may smoke on the open deck where there are no signs prohibiting smoking and where ashtrays are provided. Doctors and nurses are available on board. Ships also have accessible cabins.
