DAY 1 ISTANBUL – KANSAI – OSAKA (MEETING DAY, ONE DAY BEFORE DEPARTURE)
Meeting with our valued guests at the Turkish Airlines counter in front of the Istanbul Airport International Terminal 3 hours before departure. After baggage and ticket procedures, we fly to Kansai on the scheduled Turkish Airlines flight. Overnight on board. Upon arrival in Osaka, transfer to our hotel and free time. Guests who wish may join the Osaka by Night Tour (50€ per person) organized additionally by our guide. During the tour, Dotonbori district, Shinsaibashi (the heart of shopping), and Namba Street (home to restaurants) will be visited. After the tour, transfer back to the hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
DAY 2 OSAKA
We start the day with breakfast at the hotel and then depart for a panoramic Osaka city tour. During the tour, we visit the historic Osaka Castle, built in the 16th century and playing a key role in the unification of Japan, followed by the Umeda Sky Building, one of Osaka’s symbols. This impressive structure, located near Osaka and Umeda train stations, consists of two towers reaching a height of 173 meters. The towers are connected by a platform on the 39th floor known as the “Floating Garden Observatory”. Thanks to its glass-enclosed interior and open terrace, the observatory offers visitors unique panoramic views of Osaka. After the tour, there is free time. Guests who wish may join the Sanda Premium Outlet & Kobe Tour (105€ per person) organized additionally by our guide. At Sanda Premium Outlet, one of the region’s most famous shopping malls, we have the chance to purchase popular brand products at advantageous prices. The next stop of our tour is the port city of Kobe. Located between the sea and the Rokko mountain range, and considered one of Japan’s most attractive cities among its ten largest, our tour in Kobe includes visits to Kobe Port, Kitano Ijinkan Street, and the iconic Ferris wheel. DAY 3 OSAKA
We start the day with breakfast at the hotel and then have free time. Guests who wish may join the Kyoto & Nara Tour (180€ per person) organized additionally by our guide. Our first stop is Nara. Todaiji Temple, listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List and one of the country’s largest wooden structures, is our first destination. Then, during our visit to Nara Park, we will have the opportunity to see deer roaming freely in the area. Established in 1880, this park also houses over 1,200 wild Sika deer. We provide free time here and then proceed to our next destination, Kyoto. We travel to Kyoto, Japan&rsquos former capital and one of its best-preserved cities, which was never bombed even during wartime. Upon arrival, we will visit Kinkakuji Temple (Golden Pavilion), built according to Zen beliefs and listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The last place we will visit on our tour is Fushimi Inari. This enchanting Shinto shrine has become a symbol of Kyoto, famous for its thousands of orange torii gates. Dating back to the 8th century (711 AD), the shrine is dedicated to Inari, the god of fertility and commerce. Walking among the torii gates that stretch from the foothills to the summit makes this one of Kyoto’s most impressive stops. After the tour, we return to Osaka. Overnight at our hotel.
DAY 4 OSAKA – TOKYO
We start the day with breakfast at the hotel and then depart for Tokyo via Shinkansen. This journey, aboard the world’s fastest train capable of reaching speeds up to 320 km/h, will take approximately two and a half hours. Upon arrival in Tokyo, the heart of Japan, we move for a panoramic Tokyo city tour. Our first stop is Asakusa Temple (Senso-ji Temple), completed in 645 AD and allegedly built by two brothers, featuring the massive entrance gate called “Kaminarimon”. Next, we visit Nakamise Shopping Street. Here, we provide free time to explore this street filled with beautiful souvenirs and street food. Guests who wish may join the Tokyo by Night Tour (55€ per person) organized additionally by our guide. We head towards Shibuya, Tokyo’s attraction center. One of Tokyo’s most popular districts, known for fashion, entertainment, and shopping, this neighborhood has earned its place with its pedestrian crossing resembling a human tide and its lights. We will visit the famous intersection. The crossroads are decorated with neon lights and huge video advertisements; when the traffic light turns green for pedestrians, the intersection fills with people, making it a great photo spot. Also, we will take a photo break in front of the Hachiko Statue and learn about its story. After the tour, we transfer to the hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
DAY 5 TOKYO
We start the day with breakfast at our hotel and then have free time. Guests who wish may join the Tokyo Combined Tour (110€ per person) [Ueno Park & Akihabara Electric Town & East Gardens & Odaiba] organized additionally by our guide. Our first stop is Ueno Park, where Sakura and Hanami celebrations are held, and with over 10 million visitors annually, it is Japan’s most popular city park. Next, we visit Akihabara, one of Tokyo’s most famous neighborhoods, known as the popular “Electric City” with various types of electronic stores lined with flea market stalls. We provide time for shopping here. Our next stop is the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace. After this short walk, we move to the Odaiba area to see the Rainbow Bridge and the Statue of Liberty gifted by France. Odaiba is an artificial island located on Tokyo Bay and is one of the important areas reflecting the modern face of the city. During the free time provided here, you can capture wonderful photos. Our next stop is Ginza Street. After spending free time in Tokyo’s most famous luxury shopping, dining, and entertainment district, which hosts numerous shops, boutiques, art galleries, restaurants, nightclubs, and cafes, we continue our tour. DAY 6 TOKYO
We start the day with breakfast at our hotel and then have free time. Guests who wish may join the Hakone & Mt. Fuji & Lake Ashi Tour (160€ per person) organized additionally by our guide. We head towards Hakone, located about 2 hours from Tokyo, which will captivate you with its hot springs, natural beauty, and nature. First, we stop at Oshino Hakkai village to enjoy a panoramic view of Mt. Fuji. Next, we visit Owakudani, formed by the eruption of Hakone Mountain approximately 3,000 years ago. This area, characterized by sulfur fumes and hot steam, is still an active volcanic zone today. After the tour, we proceed to Hakone town at the foot of Mt. Fuji. Here, we will take a pleasant boat ride on Lake Ashi, listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, and witness the town’s natural beauty up close. After the boat ride, we have free time and return to the hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
DAY 7 TOKYO
We start the day with breakfast at our hotel and then have free time. Guests who wish may join the Kamakura & Traditional Japanese Tea & Bamboo Gardens Tour & Yokohama (150€ per person) organized additionally by our guide. Our first stop is the Great Buddha of Kamakura, listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. This bronze statue, 13.35 meters high including its base and weighing approximately 93 tons, is also of great importance in religious history. Built during the Kamakura period when feudalism began and samurai emerged, dating back to 1252, after seeing this monument, we proceed to our next stop, Hokoku-ji Temple. This temple, which holds an important place in Buddhism and is known for its bamboo gardens covering an area of approximately 13,000 square meters, was founded by a monk named Tengan Eko to honor the ancestor of the Ashikaga clan. Nicknamed “Take-dera” meaning “Bamboo Temple”, we embark on a short exploration within this unique temple formed by the gathering of over 2,000 bamboo plants. Midway through our visit, we take a short break to drink traditional Japanese green tea. After this part of our tour, we head towards the city of Yokohama. After conducting a city tour in this city, which is Japan’s second-largest after Tokyo, we move to Tokyo Haneda Airport. After completing baggage and check-in procedures, we depart for Istanbul on the scheduled Turkish Airlines flight. Overnight on board.
DAY 8 ISTANBUL (ARRIVAL DAY, ONE DAY AFTER DEPARTURE)
