## Tour Program

### Istanbul - Baku

Departure from Istanbul Airport International Departures terminal to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, on Turkish Airlines flight TK340 at 12:05 after baggage drop and check-in. Arrival in Baku at 15:50 local time. Following our arrival, we begin our Baku panoramic city tour with our private bus waiting for us at the airport, where we will get our first impressions of the city. We panoramically discover important landmarks such as the Haydar Aliyev Cultural Center, which dazzles with its modern architecture, Venetian Park with its peaceful atmosphere, Baku Boulevard stretching along the coast, the impressive Flame Towers, the meaningful Turkish Martyrs’ Memorial, the Carpet Museum, and National Assembly Square. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel. After checking into our rooms, free time. Overnight at our hotel.

### Baku

We start the day with breakfast at the hotel. We meet in the lobby at the time communicated by our guide. After meeting, we set off to carry out the lunch-inclusive “Absheron Peninsula & Ateshgah & Yanardag & Shopping Tour.” Our first stop is the Ateshgah Temple, considered one of the sacred centers of Zoroastrianism. Known for the legend of the “Eternal Flame,” this special place still preserves the mystical atmosphere of the past. Next, we visit Yanardag, one of nature’s extraordinary wonders. This area, where natural gas rising from underground ignites and has burned without going out for centuries, is one of the symbols of Azerbaijan, which Marco Polo described as the “Land of Fire.” After returning to Baku and having our lunch at the designated restaurant, we head to Port Baku/Crescent Mall, the address of shopping, for the final part of the day. Stores of world-famous brands, modern restaurants, and a pleasant atmosphere await you. We will have free time here for shopping and relaxation. After the tour, we return to the hotel. Overnight at our hotel.

### Baku

We start the day with breakfast at the hotel. We meet in the lobby at the time indicated by our guide. After meeting, we will take part in the “Gobustan & Mud Volcanoes and Heydar Aliyev Museum Tour.” Our first stop is Gobustan, which is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List and bears traces of prehistoric times. This open-air museum area on the coast of the Caspian Sea sheds light on thousands of years of history with its rock carvings and painted stones. Afterwards, we observe the Mud Volcanoes up close, a natural phenomenon found only in certain parts of the world and densely concentrated in Azerbaijan. This unique geological activity will fascinate you.

In the afternoon, we return to Baku and visit the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center, an architectural masterpiece of modern Azerbaijan. Realized through the design of the world-renowned architect Zaha Hadid, this iconic structure draws attention both with its exterior and its interior exhibitions. Inside the cultural center, there are personal belongings of Heydar Aliyev as well as ethnographic and archaeological collections. After the tour, we return to our hotel.

Extra: In the evening, for guests who wish, our guide will arrange an optional “Azerbaijan Night with Dinner” (80 EUR per person). This enjoyable evening, where we will experience local delicacies and Azerbaijani culture accompanied by traditional music, will remain an unforgettable memory of your trip. After the tour, return to the hotel. Overnight at our hotel.

### Baku - Istanbul

After breakfast at the hotel, we check out and complete the room vacating and check-out procedures. At the time specified by our guide, we meet in the lobby and then begin our “Baku Old Town & Surakhani Ship Museum” tour. On this tour, we first visit the Surakhani tanker, which played an important role in Azerbaijan’s history of oil transportation by sea and was converted into a museum in 2017 after extensive maintenance and restoration. With a length of 123.5 meters and a weight of 4,696 tons, innovative solutions have been implemented in the halls of the Surakhani tanker museum. Here we learn about the history of the Caspian Sea, oil production in Absheron, the development of maritime transport, ships considered among the world’s firsts, sea giants, navigation facilities that are an inseparable part of seafaring, maritime knots with a history of approximately 5,000 years, and equipment used to operate ships. After our museum visit, we take a journey through the stone streets of the historic Old City (Icherisheher), where we closely see important structures such as the Maiden Tower, the Shirvanshahs’ Palace, the Miniature Book Museum, and historic baths. Finally, we have free time on Nizami Street, formerly known as Targovi, one of Baku’s liveliest spots and reminiscent of Istanbul’s Istiklal Street.

After the free time, we meet at the time specified by our guide and head to Baku Heydar Aliyev Airport. Upon arrival at the airport, we complete passport and baggage procedures, and then depart for Istanbul on Turkish Airlines flight TK335 at 20:50.
