After completing check-in, baggage drop, and boarding procedures, we depart for Cairo on a scheduled Turkish Airlines flight. Upon arrival in Cairo during the afternoon hours, we join our private vehicle to commence a Panoramic City Tour of Cairo. First, we take in the historic city center of Old Cairo, which reflects the city's centuries-old Islamic heritage through its historic mosques, madrasas, stone structures, and bustling streets. Next, we visit the Muhammad Ali Mosque, located within the Citadel of Saladin, renowned for its grand dome, slender minarets, and interior walls clad in alabaster, earning it the nickname "Alabaster Mosque." Continuing our tour, we view the Unknown Soldier Monument, built to honor soldiers who lost their lives in the October 1973 War and serving as an iconic symbol of modern Egyptian history. We then proceed to Heliopolis to see the Baron Empain Palace, one of Cairo's most unique architectural landmarks, inspired by Indian and Khmer styles, featuring elaborate reliefs and a distinctive towered silhouette; here, we pause for photos. Following this, we visit Tahrir Square, one of the most famous squares in modern Egypt and a central hub for the city's administrative, political, and social life. In the final segment of our tour, we head toward the heart of historic Cairo: the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar. With its narrow alleys, traditional craft shops, spice merchants, souvenir stalls, and vibrant atmosphere, this is one of the city's most colorful areas. We allow free time for shopping and exploration. Afterward, we transfer to our hotel. Guests wishing may optionally join the Evening Nile River Cruise with Dinner (USD 110), organized by our guide. Following the cruise and dinner, offering a magical glimpse of the Nile and Cairo, we return to our hotel for overnight accommodation. ### Cairo After breakfast at our hotel in the morning, you will have free time. Guests who wish may join an optional tour organized by our guide: Grand Egyptian Museum & Pyramids & Sphinx Tour with Lunch (USD 160). We set off to explore some of the most iconic symbols of Cairo and ancient Egyptian civilization. Our first stop will be the Grand Egyptian Museum, rising near the Giza Pyramids and recognized as the world's largest museum dedicated to a single civilization. With its contemporary architecture, the museum brings together the magnificent heritage of ancient Egypt; through thousands of artifacts spanning different periods of Egyptian history—including Tutankhamun galleries, statues of pharaohs, mummies, everyday objects, royal treasures, and Khufu's solar boats—we will gain close insight into various eras of this ancient culture. After the museum visit, we enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Following the meal, we proceed to the Giza Plateau, home to the Great Pyramid of Khufu—the only surviving wonder of the Ancient World—as well as the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure. Built during the Fourth Dynasty as monumental tomb complexes for the pharaohs, these pyramids offer breathtaking views against the surrounding desert landscape, with scheduled photo stops at designated points. Continuing our tour, we visit the Great Sphinx of Giza, carved from a single block of limestone, featuring a human head and lion's body, symbolizing the power and wisdom of the pharaohs. Standing before the complex of Khafre's pyramid for thousands of years as if guarding the Giza Plateau, this monumental structure remains one of the most mysterious and iconic works from ancient Egypt to the present day. After the tour, we transfer back to our hotel for overnight stay. ### Cairo After breakfast at our hotel in the morning, you will have free time. Guests who wish may join an optional Alexandria City Tour with lunch (90 USD), organized by our guide. Our tour begins at the site of the Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, where we visit the Citadel of Qaitbay, built in the 15th century by Mamluk Sultan Qaitbay. Strategically located on the Mediterranean coast, this fortress is renowned for its thick defensive walls, towers, and military architecture that protected the Port of Alexandria throughout history; here, we gain a close-up view of the city’s maritime heritage. Continuing our journey, we visit the Ancient Roman Theater at Kom el-Dikka, one of the most significant structures from Roman urban life to survive to the present day, featuring semicircular marble seating rows and columns. The surrounding ancient baths, residential buildings, and mosaic remains offer insight into the social and cultural life of Alexandria during the Roman and Byzantine periods. Next, we explore the Kom El Shoqafa Catacombs, one of Alexandria's most impressive ancient sites, known for its three underground burial chambers carved into the rock, spiral staircases, and unique architecture that blends Egyptian, Greek, and Roman artistic traditions. The reliefs, statues, and sections used for funeral rites reflect the city's role as a meeting point of diverse civilizations during that era. Our final stop is Pompey's Pillar, standing in the area once occupied by the magnificent Temple of Serapis dedicated to the god Serapis in antiquity. Although commonly known as Pompey's Pillar, this monumental column was actually erected in honor of the Roman Emperor Diocletianus and is constructed from red Aswan granite. We admire the pillar itself along with the surrounding ancient ruins. After completing the tour, we return to our hotel. Upon arrival, you will have free time. Overnight stay at our hotel. ### Cairo – Istanbul After breakfast at our hotel in the morning, you will have free time. Guests who wish may join an optional guided tour to Saqqara and Memphis with lunch (95 USD). We first head to Saqqara Valley, the burial ground of those who lived in Memphis, Egypt's oldest capital. After approximately half an hour's journey, we arrive in Memphis, where we will see statues of pharaohs, ancient temples, and palace ruins. We then visit the Pyramid of Djoser, known as the first and largest stone structure built from stone blocks in Egyptian history, dating back to the 3rd Dynasty of Pharaohs who ruled Egypt in the 27th century BC.
