If sufficient participation is not achieved, the final cancellation notification date is 20 days before the tour start date. A tour cancelled due to insufficient participation will be notified to you through your agency. Some tours may, where possible, be conducted by public transportation or on foot at points where roads are closed or vehicle access is not allowed. ## Tour Program ### Istanbul - Rovaniemi – Haparanda We meet our valued guests at the international departures terminal of Istanbul Airport. After ticket, baggage, and passport procedures, we depart in the morning on Freebird Airlines’ special charter flight FH 811 to Rovaniemi. Upon our arrival in Rovaniemi around noon and after customs and passport procedures, we head to Santa Claus Village by private vehicle. In Santa Claus Village, which has been among the top 10 must-visit destinations for travel enthusiasts since 2008, you will have the chance to meet Santa Claus, take a photo with him, and send postcards to your loved ones from Santa Claus’s post office. At the same time, during your free time among the many large and diverse shops available for shopping, you will have the opportunity to delight your loved ones with unique and special gifts. After free time, we head to our hotel in Haparanda. On the way, we will pick up our thermal clothing (overall, boots, gloves, and wool socks). Accommodation will be at our Haparanda hotel. After a short rest, we will carry out our Northern Lights Hunt tour. If we are lucky, we may witness this mesmerizing natural phenomenon. ### Haparanda After the breakfast we will have early in the morning, we are giving free time for the entire day. For those who wish, we depart for Kemi with our guide for the optional Snow Safari Tour (Snowmobile Tour), which will be organized by our guide. On our snow safari tour, we will experience a 1-hour ride on Lapland’s special snowmobiles. After our tour, we will visit SnowExperience 365, which includes ice sculptures, an ice slide, and an ice restaurant, much like something out of a fairy tale. You may even sit at ice tables and sip your drinks. After the tour, we return to our hotel. Guests who wish may join our optional Reindeer Farm & Husky Safari tour, organized by our guide. Our tour begins with a transfer to the Reindeer farm. On this tour, we enjoy a short reindeer sled ride at the Reindeer farm and receive a “Reindeer Driving Certificate,” then we will spend pleasant moments around a burning fire inside a traditional Lapland tent. Continuing our tour, we transfer to the Husky farm, where we spend time with these adorable animals of the cold season, learn how to handle the huskies in our own team, and enjoy a 3 km husky sled ride. Afterwards, we will have an open-buffet lunch, including reindeer meat, at a mountain lodge restaurant surrounded by snow-covered forests. We will then transfer to our hotel in Haparanda for some rest. In the evening, guests who wish may join the Northern Lights Hunt tour organized by our guide (40 euros/person).
