Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic and Hungary are 3 hours behind Turkey during daylight saving time and 2 hours behind during winter time.

For example, when it is 18:30 in Turkey in summer, it is 15:30 in Germany.

CLOTHING AND NECESSARY ITEMS

If you are traveling in the summer season, we recommend that you bring easy-to-put-on and take-off t-shirts, short- and long-sleeved shirts, cotton trousers, shorts, comfortable walking shoes, a light jacket for the evenings, and a light sweater. CUISINE CULTURE

When German cuisine is mentioned, the first things that come to mind are cakes, potatoes, and of course beer. In this culture, which has a wide variety of meat and vegetables, there is also a very rich selection of beer and wine.

The flavors and ingredients in Austrian cuisine have been largely passed down from the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Its best-known dish is schnitzel, and meat dishes are predominant.

Czech cuisine has been influenced by all the surrounding countries and is a true Central European synthesis.

Hungarian cuisine, considered one of the world’s most important cuisines, is quite colorful and rich. Meat dishes are common, and freshly made homemade pasta is an important element of the cuisine. “Goulash,” considered the Hungarian national dish, is one of the best-known flavors.

SHOPPING

There are shopping opportunities at shopping centers in city centers and from small stalls selling souvenirs.

Among the main landmarks to be seen from the outside during our tour are Zwinger Palace, the Semper Opera House, the Catholic Court Church, and the Frauenkirche, which was rebuilt after World War II. After getting to know the city with our guide, we will admire the view of the Elbe River from Brühl’s Terrace and have a short free time in the city center. After our excursion, we continue on our way. Upon arrival, we will take a panoramic city tour. During the city tour, we first see Charles Bridge over the Vltava River and take a short walk on this structure that enchants with its Gothic and Baroque style. Then we proceed to the Old Town Square, where we learn about landmarks such as the Astronomical Clock, Týn Church, and the Jan Hus Monument.
