*VISA AND MANDATORY TRAVEL INSURANCE
Tanzania Tourist Visa (50 USD)
Since Zanzibar is part of the United Republic of Tanzania, a Tanzania tourist visa is required for travel to Zanzibar. Holders of ordinary passports are subject to visa requirements. Turkish citizens may apply for an Ordinary Visa (Single-Entry Tourist Visa) for tourist travel. The visa fee is 50 USD, and the visa validity period is up to 90 days. Citizens of the Republic of Türkiye are also among those eligible to obtain a visa on arrival in accordance with official regulations. However, it is recommended that an online visa application be submitted so that the procedures can be completed before travel.
Online Application
It is completed through the official e-Visa system of the Tanzania Immigration Department. You can apply for your visa through the link below.
https://eservices.immigration.go.tz/
The Tanzania Immigration Department states that online visa applications will be processed within 10 days. It is recommended that the visa application be submitted as early as possible before travel and that the Visa Grant Notice / visa approval be obtained before commencing the journey. If mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar are visited as part of the same travel itinerary, there is no need to obtain a second visa.
Mandatory Zanzibar Inbound Travel Insurance (44 USD)
As of October 1, 2024, the Government of Zanzibar has made it mandatory for foreign visitors arriving in Zanzibar to purchase an Inbound Travel Insurance policy issued by the Zanzibar Insurance Corporation (ZIC). This insurance is a mandatory entry requirement that may be requested upon entry to Zanzibar. According to official regulations, visitors arriving in Zanzibar are required to obtain this insurance through ZIC, valid for the duration of their stay and up to 92 days. The insurance particularly covers medical emergencies, air ambulance/evacuation, and related emergency assistance services.
Application:
The insurance must only be purchased through the Zanzibar Insurance Corporation (ZIC). Travel health insurance purchased from another country or a private insurance company does not replace Zanzibar’s mandatory ZIC insurance. The application is completed online through the official Visit Zanzibar insurance portal. Entry into the country may be denied if valid insurance is not available. You can apply for your mandatory ZIC insurance through the link below.

Note: The visa and mandatory Zanzibar insurance are not included in the tour package price. Passengers must complete these procedures themselves before travel and carry the relevant documents with them throughout the journey.
Visa and insurance fees are subject to the current practices and charges of the relevant Tanzanian and Zanzibar authorities.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS & IMPORTANT INFORMATION PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENT
This trip is organized with a minimum participation requirement of 20 people. If sufficient participation is not achieved, the final cancellation notification date is 20 days before the start of the tour. A tour cancelled due to insufficient participation will be notified to you through your agency.
VISA
Ordinary Passport Visa required
Green Passport Visa not required
Service Passport Visa not required
You must have a passport valid for 6 months from the end date of travel and issued less than 10 years ago.
For destinations where a visa is required, the visa application must be submitted with the documents specified in the “Documents Required for Visa” list provided to you by your agency.
To avoid problems with customs police at the border of the country to be visited due to torn, worn, wet and/or otherwise damaged passports, such passports must be renewed; and if the country applies visa requirements to citizens of the Republic of Türkiye, the relevant visa must be in the new passport. Otherwise, responsibility lies with the passenger.
As guests under the age of 18 travelling alone or accompanied by only one of their parents may be asked by the police officer at the country’s entry and exit points to provide a document showing the joint consent of both parents, we recommend that our guests under 18 and their parents pay particular attention to this matter.
OPTIONAL TOURS & ACTIVITIES
Optional tours and activities are organized by the local agency we work with, with a minimum participation requirement of 20 people, and participation is not mandatory. If the required number is not reached, the excursions may not take place, or the prices, content, and vehicles used for optional tours/activities may vary according to the number of participants. In addition, the days and times of optional tours/activities may be changed by the guide depending on whether the museums, archaeological sites, or venues at the destinations are open or closed, as well as on weather conditions.
ACCOMMODATION
During periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., hotels may be used at distances greater than the specified kilometers. Triple rooms may be provided depending on hotel availability, and the bed provided for the third person in such rooms may be smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed and 1 extra bed. Since extra beds consist of beds known as folding beds and coach beds, participants making reservations for a third person and/or child are deemed to have accepted the possible lack of space in the rooms and the type of bed.
Child discounts are valid for one (1) child staying with 2 adults and belonging to the age group specified in the pricing section. Breakfasts included in the tour program and taken at the hotel are served in accordance with the breakfast culture of the country visited, generally as a limited menu called a continental breakfast consisting of butter, jam, bread, tea, or coffee, and may be served in a separate room allocated to the group.

We recommend that you receive a Yellow Fever vaccination at least ten days before your visit to Zanzibar and carry the vaccination card provided to you during your journey. We also recommend consulting your doctor about whether to take medication against malaria beginning a certain period before your trip and whether to continue taking this medication during your trip and for a certain period afterward. If you have adventurous eating habits and eat food sold uncovered on the streets, we strongly recommend that you consume water from sealed bottles, avoid ice, milk, and dairy products, eat meat, chicken, and fish products that you are sure have been thoroughly cooked, ensure that fruits and vegetables have been washed well, and eat fruit only after peeling it. We recommend wearing long-sleeved clothing at sunrise and sunset and bringing insect repellent with you. If you develop a fever within 7–30 days after returning from your trip, it is important to inform your doctor about where you have been.

IMPORTANT NOTES
Having a valid passport and/or having obtained a visa (for destinations/passports where a visa is required) does not mean that entry into the country is guaranteed. Passport control officers have the authority to refuse you entry into the country. Bin Rota is not responsible for this situation; responsibility lies with the passenger.
BinRota acts as an intermediary between the airline and the passenger and is subject to the Hague Protocol of 28.09.1955. There may be a risk of delays on scheduled and charter flights, or flight times may change before the existing tour and flight. BinRota is obliged to notify passengers of these changes as soon as possible. Our passengers purchased the tour knowing and accepting that flight details may change. Children between 0 and 2 years of age do not pay airport taxes and airport service fees
The panoramic city tours included in the tour package are tours lasting no more than 2–3 hours, organized for a general introduction to the cities and conducted panoramically with the guide’s narration from inside the vehicle; they do not include museum or archaeological site entrance fees. Bin Rota is not responsible if the panoramic tours, including other tours specified in the program, cannot take place because local authorities do not permit visiting or entering the relevant places on the scheduled day and time, roads are closed due to any event, or weather conditions make it impossible to conduct the tour. Some tours may be conducted by public transportation or on foot, where possible, in locations with closed roads or where vehicle access is not permitted.
