PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENT

This tour is organized with a minimum participation of 25 people. If sufficient participation is not achieved, the final cancellation notification date is 20 days prior to the tour start date. Tours cancelled due to insufficient participation will be notified to you through your agency.

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the end date of travel and not older than 10 years.

 

In destinations requiring a visa, the visa application must be made with the documents specified in the "Documents Required for Visa" list provided by your agency.

 

To avoid issues with customs police at the border of the country to be visited due to torn, worn, wet, and/or otherwise damaged passports; such passports must be renewed, and if the destination country requires a visa for Turkish citizens, the relevant visa must be on the new passport. In case of non-compliance, the responsibility lies with the passenger.

 

Since there may be a request for a document showing joint parental consent by the police officer responsible at entry/exit points when guests under 18 years of age travel alone or with only one parent, we recommend that our guests under 18 years of age and their parents exercise caution in this matter.

 

HEALTH

There is no mandatory vaccination requirement for Turkish citizens entering Egypt. We recommend that you do not drink tap water during your tour and consume only bottled water that has been opened by you for the first time.

Extra tours and activities are organized by the local agency providing services with a minimum participation of 20 people, and participation is not mandatory. If the required number is not met, tours may not take place, or extra tour/activity prices, content, and vehicles used may vary according to the number of participants. Additionally, the days and times of extra tours/activities may be changed by the guide depending on whether museums, historical sites, or venues are open/closed and weather conditions.

 

ACCOMMODATION

During periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., hotels may be located further than the specified kilometers.

Triple rooms are assigned based on hotel availability. In such rooms, the bed provided for the 3rd person may be smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed and 1 extra bed. Since extra beds are foldable or convertible (coach beds), participants who are the 3rd person and/or children booking are deemed to have accepted potential crowding in the room and the type of bed.

 

Child discounts apply to a single (1) child staying with 2 adults and falling within the age group specified in the pricing section.

 

Breakfasts included in the tour program, which are part of the services provided at the hotel, are served according to the breakfast culture of the country visited and generally as a limited menu known as continental breakfast, consisting of butter, jam, bread, tea, or coffee. For groups, it may be served in a separate hall allocated for the group.

 

CURRENCY

The currency of Egypt is the Egyptian Pound (EGP).

It is advisable to carry Euro (EUR) and US Dollar (USD).

 

TIME ZONE

Egypt observes both summer and winter time.

During summer time, there is no time difference between Turkey and Egypt.

During winter time, there is a 1-hour difference between Turkey and Egypt. When it is 12:00 in Turkey, it is 11:00 in Egypt.

 

PHONE USAGE

If your mobile phone line is enabled for international calls (roaming), it can be used.

 

CLOTHING AND ESSENTIAL ITEMS

When entering mosques and churches in the country, avoid wearing shorts, skirts, clothing that exposes shoulders, or tight-fitting garments. We recommend that women bring a thin shawl or scarf. Also, if you have hats or sunglasses, you must not wear them while inside places of worship. Both men and women must remove their shoes before entering a mosque.

 

FOOD CULTURE

Like many countries with coastlines, Egypt is full of fish restaurants and fish markets.

 

ELECTRICITY

Electricity in Egypt is 220/230 volts, and Type C (double thin round) and Type F (double thick round) sockets are used.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Having a valid passport and/or having obtained a visa (for destinations/passports where a visa is required) does not guarantee entry into the country. The passport police have the authority to deny you entry. Bin Rota is not responsible for this situation; the responsibility lies with the passenger.

 

BinRota acts as an intermediary between the passenger and the airline and is subject to the Hague Protocol of 28.09.1955. There may be a risk of delays in scheduled and special flights, or flight times may change prior to the existing tour and flight. BinRota is obligated to notify these changes as soon as possible. Our passengers purchase the tour knowing and accepting that flight details may change. Children aged 0-2 do not pay airport taxes or airport service fees.

 

Panoramic city tours included in the tour package are tours lasting a maximum of 2-3 hours, organized for general introduction to cities and conducted panoramically with guide commentary from the vehicle, excluding entrance to museums and historical sites. Panoramic tours, including other tours specified in the program, may not take place if local authorities do not permit visiting or entering on the designated day and time, or due to closed roads caused by any event. Similarly, if weather conditions make it impossible to conduct the tour, Bin Rota is not responsible for the inability to conduct the aforementioned tours. Some tours may be conducted via public transport or on foot, depending on available facilities, at points where closed roads prevent vehicle access.

Tour Program
Istanbul – Cairo – City Tour – Cairo
Our tour begins with a meeting at Istanbul Airport's International Departures Terminal. After completing check-in, baggage drop, and boarding procedures, we depart for Cairo on an Air Cairo flight. Upon arrival in Cairo during the afternoon hours, we join our private vehicle to commence a Panoramic City Tour of Cairo. First, we enjoy a panoramic view of Old Cairo, the historic city center that reflects the region's centuries-old Islamic heritage through its ancient mosques, madrasas, stone structures, and bustling streets. Next, we visit the Muhammad Ali Mosque, located within the Citadel of Saladin. Known as the Alabaster Mosque due to its expansive dome, slender minarets, and interior cladding made of alabaster, it is one of Cairo's most iconic landmarks. Continuing our tour, we see the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, erected to honor soldiers who lost their lives during the October 1973 War and serving as a symbolic monument of modern Egyptian history. We then proceed to Heliopolis to view the Baron Empain Palace, one of Cairo's most unique architectural treasures. Inspired by Indian and Khmer styles, this distinctive building features rich bas-reliefs and a towered silhouette; we will stop here for a photo opportunity. Following this, we visit Tahrir Square, one of the most famous squares in modern Egypt and a central hub for the city's administrative, political, and social life. In the final segment of our tour, we head toward the heart of historic Cairo: the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar. With its narrow alleys, traditional craft shops, spice merchants, souvenir stalls, and vibrant atmosphere, this colorful district offers ample opportunity for shopping and exploration. After enjoying free time, we transfer to our hotel for overnight accommodation.
Cairo – Grand Egyptian Museum – Pyramids – Sphinx – Cairo
After breakfast at our hotel in the morning, you will have free time. Guests who wish may join an optional tour to the Grand Egyptian Museum, Pyramids of Giza, and Sphinx with lunch included (130 EUR), organized by our guide. We set off to explore some of the most iconic symbols of Cairo and ancient Egyptian civilization. Our first stop will be the Grand Egyptian Museum, located near the Giza Pyramids and recognized as the world's largest museum dedicated to a single civilization. With its contemporary architecture, the museum brings together the magnificent heritage of ancient Egypt; through thousands of artifacts spanning different periods of Egyptian history—including Tutankhamun galleries, statues of pharaohs, mummies, everyday objects, royal treasures, and Khufu's solar boats—we will gain a close-up view of this remarkable civilization. After the museum visit, we enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Following the meal, we proceed to the Giza Plateau, home to the Great Pyramid of Khufu—the only surviving wonder of the Ancient World—as well as the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure. Built during the Fourth Dynasty as monumental tomb complexes for the pharaohs, these pyramids offer breathtaking views against the surrounding desert landscape, with opportunities for photo stops at designated points. Continuing our tour, we visit the Great Sphinx of Giza, a colossal monolithic limestone sculpture carved from a single rock, featuring a human head and lion's body, symbolizing the power and wisdom of the pharaohs. Standing guard over the Giza Plateau for thousands of years in front of the Khafre Pyramid complex, this monumental structure remains one of the most mysterious and iconic works from ancient Egypt to the present day. After the tour, we transfer back to our hotel for overnight stay.
Cairo – Alexandria – Cairo
After breakfast at our hotel in the morning, you will have free time. Guests who wish may join an optional Alexandria City Tour (90 EUR) organized by our guide. Our tour begins at the site of the Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, where we visit the Citadel of Qaitbay, built in the 15th century by Mamluk Sultan Qaitbay. Strategically located on the Mediterranean coast, this fortress is renowned for its thick defensive walls, towers, and military architecture that protected the Port of Alexandria throughout history; here, we gain a close-up view of the city's maritime heritage. Continuing our journey, we visit the Ancient Roman Theatre at Kom el-Dikka, one of the most significant structures from Roman urban life to survive to the present day, featuring semi-circular marble seating rows and columns. The surrounding ancient baths, residential buildings, and mosaic remains offer insight into Alexandria's social and cultural life during the Roman and Byzantine periods. Next, we explore the Kom El Shoqafa Catacombs, one of Alexandria's most impressive ancient sites, characterized by three underground burial chambers carved into the rock, spiral staircases, and unique architecture that blends Egyptian, Greek, and Roman artistic traditions. The reliefs, statues, and sections used for funeral rites reflect the city's role as a meeting point of diverse civilizations during that era. Our final stop is Pompey's Pillar, standing on the site of the magnificent Temple of Serapis dedicated to the god Serapis in antiquity. Although commonly known as Pompey's Pillar due to popular tradition, this monumental column was actually erected in honor of the Roman Emperor Diocletianus and is constructed from red Aswan granite. We admire the pillar along with the surrounding ancient ruins. After completing the tour, we return to our hotel. Upon arrival, you will have free time. Overnight stay at our hotel.
Cairo – Istanbul
After breakfast, which we will have at our hotel as part of the meal plan, we transfer to Cairo Airport and complete our check-in and baggage procedures for our scheduled Air Cairo flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival at Istanbul Airport, our tour and all included services come to an end.
