After our temple visit, which resembles an open-air museum, we return to our ship. Dinner and overnight stay  on board.

The temple was damaged by the flooding of the Nile and earthquakes, and its stones were used in other constructions. Departure for Aswan. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

DAY 04. ASWAN – ABU SIMBEL – ASWAN
Today we will have an early breakfast in the form of a packed meal. We depart for Abu Simbel in our private vehicle. Carved into the interior of Mount Simbel, the temple was relocated after 6 years of work led by UNESCO to protect it from the danger of being submerged during the construction of the Aswan Dam. Following this fascinating visit, we return to Aswan in our private vehicle.  Upon arrival in Aswan, we board our ship and have lunch on board. After lunch, we continue our tour with the Philae Temple, dismantled and moved to Agilkia Island במסגרת the UNESCO Nubia Project before the construction of the dam. After the tour, transfer to the ship. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

DAY 05. CAIRO
After breakfast, we complete our disembarkation procedures. We transfer to the airport in our private vehicle waiting for us for the Aswan–Cairo flight for our “Giza Pyramids Tour.” Our first stop will be the pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, named after the pharaohs who commissioned them. These 3 pyramids, built thousands of years ago and still preserving their mysteries, were designed so that a Pythagorean triangle would be formed between them.  Built years before Pythagoras, these pyramids demonstrate that the Egyptians possessed highly advanced knowledge of mathematics and geometry. After visiting the mysterious pyramids, we will see the Sphinx, with the head of a pharaoh and the body of a lion, representing the rising sun and rebirth for the pharaoh. After visiting the “living statue” Sphinx, which has a temple between its paws, we will have lunch.  After the meal, we will visit a workshop producing handmade papyrus paper made from Egypt’s famous papyrus plant. Following the workshop visit, we will visit the Saqqara Pyramid, also known as the Step Pyramid, located in Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt.  After visiting the Saqqara Pyramid, regarded as the first great monument made of stone in the world, we return to our hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at our hotel.

DAY 06. CAIRO
After breakfast, we will visit the old city center of Egypt, one of the oldest civilizations with a 7,000-year history, the citadel newly built by Saladin against the Crusades, the Mosque of Mohamed Ali Pasha, the Ottoman governor, and the Khan El Khalili Bazaar. After having lunch at a local restaurant during our tour, we will go to the Grand Egyptian Museum, which opened ceremoniously on November 1, 2025. The museum offers a collection of 50,000 artifacts spanning from prehistoric times to the present day, and also displays the personal belongings of Pharaoh Tutankhamun in their entirety.
