PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENT

This tour is organized with a minimum participation requirement of 30 people. If sufficient participation is not achieved, the final cancellation notification deadline is 20 days before the start of the tour. The tour cancelled due to insufficient participation will be notified to you through your agency.

You must have a passport valid for 6 months from the end date of the trip and issued no more than 10 years ago.

For destinations requiring a visa, the visa application must be submitted with the documents specified in the “Documents Required for Visa” list that your agency will provide to you.

To avoid problems with customs police at the border of the country to be visited due to torn, worn, wet and/or similarly damaged passports; such passports must be renewed, and if the country applies visa requirements to citizens of the Republic of Türkiye, the relevant visa must be in the new passport. Otherwise, responsibility belongs to the passenger.

When our guests under the age of 18 travel alone or with only one of their parents, there is a possibility that the police officer on duty at the country's entry and exit points may request a document showing the joint consent of both parents; therefore, we recommend that our guests under 18 and their parents pay particular attention to this matter.

HEALTH

No vaccinations are required for entry into Portugal. We do not expect you to encounter any health-threatening issues with meals served at good restaurants and hotels in the region. Nevertheless, we recommend that you be careful about eating and drinking when you are not with the group; that you consume only bottled water, avoid ice, milk and dairy products, consume meat and fish products that you are sure have been thoroughly cooked, and, regarding fruit, eat fruits such as bananas and pineapples that can be peeled.

OPTIONAL TOURS& ACTIVITIES

Optional tours and activities are organized by the local agency from which we receive services, with a minimum participation requirement of 20 people, and participation is not mandatory. If sufficient numbers are not reached, the excursions may not take place, or optional tour/activity prices, content and the vehicle to be used may vary according to the number of participants. In addition, the days and times of optional tours/activities may be changed by the guide depending on whether museums, archaeological sites or venues at the destinations are open/closed and on weather conditions.

ACCOMMODATION

During periods of fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., hotels may be used at distances greater than the kilometers specified.

Triple rooms may be provided depending on hotel availability, and in such rooms, the bed offered to the third person may be smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed and 1 extra bed. Since extra beds consist of foldable beds or beds referred to as "coach beds"; participants are deemed to have declared that they accept the possible lack of space in the rooms and the bed type for reservations involving a third participant and/or child.

Child discounts are valid for one (1) child staying with 2 adults and falling within the age group specified in the pricing section.

Breakfasts taken at the hotel, among the services included in the tour program, are served in accordance with the breakfast culture of the country visited and generally as a limited menu called “continental breakfast,” consisting of butter, jam, bread, tea or coffee, and may be served in a separate hall allocated to the group. CURRENCY

The currency of Spain and Portugal is the Euro (EUR).

It is advisable to carry Euros (EUR) with you.

TIME ZONE

Spain and Portugal are 3 hours behind Türkiye during daylight saving time and 2 hours behind during standard time.

For example, when it is 18:30 in Türkiye in summer, it is 15:30 in Spain.

PHONE USAGE

Your mobile phone line can be used if it is enabled for international calls (roaming).

CLOTHING AND ESSENTIAL ITEMS

If travelling during the summer season; we recommend that you bring easily wearable and removable T-shirts, short- and long-sleeved shirts, cotton trousers, shorts, comfortable walking shoes, a light jacket for the evenings and a thin sweater.

In addition, you may bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, earplugs against possible noise, a camera, a video camera, their chargers and spare memory cards. During the winter period, we recommend clothing that allows you to move comfortably and keeps you warm.

FOOD CULTURE

Spanish cuisine derives from a complex history in which the traditions of Spanish invasions and conquests introduced new ingredients by changing existing practices. Thus, Spain's current and traditional cuisine combines old and new traditions. Gazpacho soup, fajitas and the delicious snack tapas are among the cuisine's important flavors.

There are opportunities to shop at shopping centers located in city centers and small stalls selling souvenirs.

Having a valid passport and/or having obtained a visa (for destinations/passports where a visa is required) does not mean that entry into the country is guaranteed. Bin Rota is not responsible if panoramic tours and other tours specified in the program cannot be carried out at places where local authorities do not permit visits or entry on the day and at the time corresponding to the tour, or due to closed roads, or if the tour becomes impossible due to weather conditions. Some tours may be conducted by public transportation or on foot, where possible, at locations with closed roads or where vehicle entry is not permitted.

Tour Program
Istanbul - Lisbon
After meeting our guide at Istanbul Airport’s International Terminal, we check in our luggage at Turkish Airlines’ counter and complete our ticketing procedures. Following the procedures, we board Turkish Airlines’ scheduled flight to Lisbon. Upon arrival, we will take a panoramic tour of Lisbon, including the UNESCO World Heritage Site Jeronimos Monastery, the Belem Tower and the Discoverers’ Monument, which commemorate Portugal’s maritime history, Rossio and Praca do Commercio, the city’s most vibrant squares, the Avenida da Liberdade (Freedom Avenue), famous for its stylish shops and cafes, Marquês de Pombal Square, and the historic Sao Jorge Castle, from which you can enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the city. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel and check in to our rooms. Afterwards, we have free time to relax or explore the surroundings. Overnight at the hotel.
Lisbon
After breakfast, we will have free time. For those who wish, we will take an optional tour of Sintra, Cascais, Estoril and Cabo da Roca (80 Euro) with unique views of nature and history. Our first stop will be the fairy-tale town of Sintra, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List and has been home to the summer palaces of the Portuguese royal family. We will take a pleasant walk in Sintra, which has a charming atmosphere with its colorful palaces, green hills and historic texture. Then, we will reach Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of the European continent and known as "the end of the darkness, the beginning of the sea." We will take a photo break with an impressive view of the endless Atlantic Ocean. Then, we will visit the charming coastal town of Cascais, famous for its elegant streets and lively coastline. We will have free time in this charming seaside town with a maritime atmosphere. Finally, we will complete our tour through Estoril, which has been a favorite holiday destination for aristocrats and the rich for many years, known for its casinos and luxurious buildings. After the tour, we will transfer to our hotel and have free time. In the evening, those who wish will join our guide for the optional Fado Night Event (60 Euro) in the enchanting atmosphere of Lisbon, at a historic Fado house, where we will witness an unforgettable night that touches the heart of Portugal, accompanied by master Fado artists who put love, sadness and longing into notes in their deepest form. After the tour, we will transfer to our hotel.
Lisbon - Porto
After breakfast at our hotel, we will head to Porto. We will then embark on a tour of Aveiro & Obidos & Nazare & Batalha & Fatima, which includes some of the most impressive historical and cultural sites in Portugal. Our first stop will be Aveiro, known as “Venice of Portugal” for its canals, colorful gondolas (moliceiros) and Art Nouveau architecture. We will then head to Obidos, a medieval town with its cobbled streets, walls, and white houses adorned with flowers, which is like a medieval fairy tale. Here, you will have the opportunity to taste the traditional cherry liqueur “Ginja,” which was given as a wedding gift to the Queen by the King. We will then head to Nazaré, a traditional fishing village on the Atlantic coast, famous for its towering waves, endless ocean views, and cultural heritage. Next, we will visit the Batalha Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the masterpieces of Gothic architecture, known for its stunning stonework. Our final stop will be the holy city of Fátima, visited by millions of pilgrims every year, where it is believed that the Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherd children in 1917 and where the “Three Secrets of Fatima” miracle took place. After the tour, we will continue our journey to Porto. Upon arrival, we will transfer to the hotel and have free time. Overnight in Porto.
Porto
After breakfast at our hotel, we will have some free time. For those who wish, we will proceed to the optional Guimarães & Braga & Bom Jesus do Monte Tour (80 Euro) of the north of Portugal. Our first stop will be Guimarães, known as the “birthplace of Portugal”. In this historic city, known as the birthplace of the country’s first king, I. Afonso Henriques, we will walk through the stone streets of the Middle Ages, visiting Guimarães Castle and the Palace of the Dukes of Bragança. Then, we will head to Braga, one of the most important religious centers in the country. In this city, which stands out for its rich religious heritage and magnificent buildings, we will have the opportunity to visit Braga Cathedral (Sé de Braga), the oldest cathedral in Portugal. After exploring these special cities, where history, culture and architecture are intertwined throughout the day, we will return to our hotel for the night.
Porto - Istanbul
After breakfast at our hotel, we check out of our rooms and begin our day with a panoramic city tour. We will see Porto Cathedral, the Historic Wine Cellars, Liberdade Square, Batalha Square, the Torre dos Clerigos Tower, the Riberia District, the Arrabida Bridge, Boa Vista, the Don Luis Bridge, the Sao Francisco Church, and the Bourse Building.
