PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENT

This tour is organized with a minimum participation requirement of 40 people.  If sufficient participation is not achieved, the final cancellation notice date is 20 days before the tour starts. The tour cancelled due to insufficient participation will be notified to you through your agency.

HEALTH

There is no vaccination requirement upon entry to Portugal. We do not expect to encounter any health-threatening issues with meals served in the region’s good restaurants and hotels. However, when you are not with the group, we recommend that you be careful about what you eat and drink, definitely consume bottled water, avoid ice, milk and dairy products, consume meat and fish products that you are sure are well cooked, and choose fruits with peelable skins such as bananas and pineapples.

OPTIONAL TOURS & ACTIVITIES

Optional tours and activities are organized by the local agency we work with with a minimum participation requirement of 20 people, and participation is not mandatory. If the required number is not reached, the tours cannot be operated, or the prices, content, and vehicle used for optional tours / activities may vary depending on the number of participants. In addition, the days and times of optional tours / activities may be changed by the guide according to the opening/closing status of museums, ruins, or venues at the destinations and according to weather conditions.

ACCOMMODATION

During periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., hotels may be used farther than the distances stated in kilometers. 

3-person rooms may be provided depending on hotel availability, and the bed offered to the 3rd person in such rooms may be smaller than standard beds. 3-person rooms consist of 1 large bed and 1 extra bed. Since extra beds are foldable and known as coach beds, participants are deemed to have declared that they accept the possible crowding in the rooms and the bed type in 3rd person and/or child reservations. 

Child discounts are valid for only one (1) child staying with 2 adults and matching the age group specified in the pricing section. 

Breakfasts included in the tour program and taken at the hotel are served in accordance with the breakfast culture of the country being visited and generally with a limited menu called continental breakfast, consisting of butter, jam, bread, tea or coffee, and may be served for groups in a separate hall allocated to the group.

CURRENCY

The currency of Spain and Portugal is the Euro (EUR). It is advisable to have Euro (EUR) with you.

TIME ZONE

Spain and Portugal are 3 hours behind Turkey in summer time and 2 hours behind in winter time.

For example, when it is 18:30 in Turkey in summer, it is 15:30 in Spain.

CLOTHING AND NECESSARY ITEMS

If you are going in the summer season, we recommend that you bring t-shirts that can be easily put on and taken off, short- and long-sleeved shirts, cotton trousers, shorts, comfortable walking shoes, a light jacket and a thin sweater for the evenings.  In addition, you may also bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, earplugs against possible noise, a camera, a video camera, and their chargers and spare memory cards. In winter, we recommend clothing that allows you to move comfortably and keep warm.

FOOD CULTURE

Spanish cuisine derives from a complex history in which the invasions and conquests of Spain changed traditions and introduced new ingredients. Thus, Spain's current and traditional cuisine combines old and new traditions. Gazpacho soup, Fajita, and delicious snack Tapas are among the important flavors of the cuisine.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Having a valid passport and/or having obtained a visa (for destinations/passports requiring a visa) does not necessarily mean that entry into the country will be allowed. The passport police have the authority to refuse entry. The agency is not responsible for this situation; responsibility lies with the passenger.  

The agency is an intermediary between the airline and the passenger and is subject to the Hague Protocol dated 28.09.1955. There may be a risk of delay on scheduled and special flights, or the times before the current trip and flight may change. The agency is obliged to notify these changes as soon as possible. Our passengers have purchased the tour knowing and accepting that flight details may change. Children aged 0-2 do not pay airport tax and airport services fee. 

Panoramic city tours included in the tour package are tours organized for the general introduction of cities, carried out panoramically from the vehicle with guide commentary, and lasting at most 2-3 hours without museum or archaeological site entrance fees. Panoramic tours, including other tours stated in the program, if they cannot be carried out on the day and time of the tour due to roads closed by local authorities, locations not permitted to be visited or entered, or any event, and when it becomes impossible to conduct the tour due to weather conditions, the agency is not responsible for the failure to carry out the aforementioned tours. Some tours may be carried out by public transport or on foot where possible in places with closed roads or where vehicle entry is not permitted.

Tour Program
Istanbul - Porto
After meeting our guide at Istanbul Airport International Terminal, we complete our baggage drop-off and ticket procedures at the Turkish Airlines counter. After completing the formalities, we depart for Porto on a scheduled Turkish Airlines flight. Upon arrival, we will enjoy a panoramic city tour of Porto, during which we will see places such as Porto Cathedral, the Historic Wine Cellars, Liberdade Square, Batalha Square, Clérigos Tower, the Ribeira District, Arrabida Bridge, Boa Vista, Dom Luís Bridge, São Francisco Church, the Stock Exchange Building, and São Bento Train Station. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel and check into our rooms. Afterwards, free time to rest or explore the surroundings. Overnight at our hotel.
Porto
After breakfast at our hotel, we depart with our guests who wish to join the optional Guimarães & Braga & Bom Jesus do Monte Tour in northern Portugal, organized by our guide (75 Euro). Our first stop is Guimarães, known as the “birthplace of Portugal.” In this historic city, also known as the birthplace of the country’s first king, Afonso Henriques, we walk through medieval stone streets and visit Guimarães Castle and the Palace of the Dukes of Braganza. We then head to Braga, one of the most important religious centers in the country. In this city, notable for its rich religious heritage and magnificent structures, we have the opportunity to see Braga Cathedral (Sé de Braga), the oldest cathedral in Portugal. After exploring these special cities where history, culture, and architecture intertwine throughout the day, we return to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
Porto - Lisbon
After breakfast at our hotel, we depart for Lisbon. Upon arrival in the city, we check into our hotel and have free time. Later, for those who wish, we set out with our guide on an optional Sintra, Cascais, Estoril, and Cabo da Roca tour (75 Euro), surrounded by unique scenery intertwined with nature and history. Our first stop is the fairy-tale town of Sintra, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List and has hosted the summer palaces of the Portuguese royal family. In Sintra, with its colorful palaces, lush green hills, and enchanting historical atmosphere, we enjoy a pleasant walk. We then reach Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of mainland Europe, known as “where the land ends and the sea begins.” Here, we take a photo break accompanied by a breathtaking view overlooking the endless Atlantic Ocean. Next, we visit the town of Cascais, famous for its elegant streets and lively coastline, located on the Atlantic shore. In this charming seaside town with fishing roots, we will have free time by the sea. Finally, we complete our tour by passing through Estoril, which for many years has been a favorite holiday resort of aristocrats and the wealthy, known for its casinos and luxurious buildings. Afterwards, we continue with our panoramic Lisbon city tour. Places to be seen include Jerónimos Monastery, Belém Tower, the Monument to the Discoveries, Rossio and Praça do Comércio squares, Avenida da Liberdade, Marquês de Pombal Square, and São Jorge Castle on the hill overlooking the city. After the tour, we return to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
Lisbon
After breakfast at our hotel, we will have free time. Then, for those who wish, we will set off on the Aveiro & Óbidos & Nazaré & Batalha & Fátima Tour (95 Euro), which our guide will organize optionally and which covers Portugal’s most impressive historical and cultural highlights. Our first stop is Aveiro, known as “the Venice of Portugal” for its canals, colorful gondolas (moliceiros), and Art Nouveau architecture. Next, we continue to Óbidos, a town that feels like a medieval fairy tale with its cobblestone streets, walled structure, and white houses decorated with flowers. In this city, which King gave to his queen as a wedding gift, you will also have the chance to taste the traditional cherry liqueur “Ginja.” We then head to Nazaré, a traditional fishing village on the Atlantic coast; it is famous for its giant waves, endless ocean views, and cultural atmosphere. Afterwards, we visit Batalha Monastery, one of the masterpieces of Gothic architecture, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and notable for its enchanting stone craftsmanship. The final stop of the day is Fátima, the sacred city visited by millions of pilgrims every year, where it is believed that the Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherd children in 1917 and which became famous for the miracle of the “Three Secrets of Fátima.” After this meaningful visit, we complete the day and, upon arrival at our Lisbon hotel, we settle in to rest. Lisbon - Seville
After breakfast at our hotel, we transfer to Seville and begin our city tour upon arrival. During our Seville tour, the places we will visit include Spain Square, the Golden Tower, the Convent of the Sisters of Paula, María Luisa Park, famous for its pools and gardens, and Santa Cruz Square. During the city tour, we will also see panoramically the Alcázar Palace, one of the finest examples of Arab architecture, and Seville Cathedral, the third largest cathedral in the world. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel and give free time. Guests who wish may join the Flamenco Show (55 Euro), which will be organized optionally by our guide. After the tour, transfer to the hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
Seville - Córdoba - Granada
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Cordoba. Upon arrival, we proceed with the Cordoba Old Town & Cordoba Mosque Tour, which our guide will organize optionally for guests who wish to join (including entrance tickets, 65 Euro). In this historic city, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we visit Palacio de Viana, one of the Renaissance-period structures, the Jewish Quarter famous for its narrow streets and traditional houses, and the Cordoba Mosque, considered one of the masterpieces of Western Islamic art and whose construction began in the 8th century. After exploring this cultural and scientific center, where people of different faiths once lived together, we set off for Granada. Upon arrival, we transfer to our hotel, room allocation, and free time to rest. Overnight at our hotel.
Pomegranate
After breakfast at our hotel, we depart for the Alhambra Palace Tour, which will be organized optionally by our guide for those who wish to participate (entrance tickets included, 70 Euro). The Alhambra Palace, which has become the subject of legends and is listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site with its Arabesque architecture, pools, and gardens, the jewel of Andalusia, will be visited. (Due to limited ticket availability, a ticket guarantee cannot be provided for late registrations.) After our visit to the Alhambra Palace, we will take a panoramic city tour of Granada. We will visit the monuments from both the Christian and Andalusian Umayyad periods in the historic streets of Granada. Grand Via, Bib-Rambla Square, the Arab Markets, and the Town Hall Square are among the places to be seen. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel and have free time. Guests who wish may join our optional Albaicín & Sacromonte Gypsy Quarter tour, organized by our guide (55 Euro). After the tour, transfer to the hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
Granada - Malaga - Istanbul
After breakfast at our hotel, free time until the time to be determined by our guide. Then we transfer to the airport. After baggage, ticket, and customs procedures, we depart on Turkish Airlines’ scheduled flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival, our tour and services come to an end.
