PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENT

This trip is organized with a minimum participation of 20 people. If sufficient participation is not achieved, the final cancellation notice date is 20 days before the tour start. The tour canceled due to insufficient participation will be notified to you through your agency.

You must have a passport valid for 6 months from the end date of travel and not older than 10 years.

For destinations requiring a visa, the visa application must be made with the documents specified in the “Documents Required for Visa” list that your agency will provide to you for the visa application.

In order to avoid problems with customs police at the border gate of the country to be visited due to torn, worn, wet and/or similarly damaged passports; such passports must be renewed and, if the country applies a visa to T.C. citizens, the relevant visa must be in the new passport. Otherwise, responsibility belongs to the passenger.

Since there is a possibility that our guests under 18 traveling alone or with only one of their parents may be asked by the police officer in charge at the country’s entry and exit points for a document showing the joint consent of the parents, we recommend that our guests under 18 and their parents pay attention to this matter.

HEALTH

We do not think that there will be any health-threatening problems with meals taken in good restaurants and hotels in the region. However, when you are not with the group, we recommend that you be careful about what you eat and drink, definitely consume bottled water, avoid ice, milk and dairy products, consume meat and fish products that you are sure are well cooked, and for fruit, eat fruits that can be peeled such as bananas and pineapples. Current vaccination/PCR rules must be followed at country entry and upon return home.

EXTRA TOURS ACTIVITIES

Extra tours and activities are organized by the local agency we receive service from with a minimum participation of 20 people, and participation is not mandatory. If sufficient numbers are not reached, excursions cannot be carried out or extra tour/activity prices, content, and the vehicle used may vary depending on the number of participants. In addition, the days and times of extra tours/activities may be changed by the guide according to the opening/closing status of museums, ruins or venues at the places to be visited and weather conditions.

ACCOMMODATION

During periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., hotels may be used at distances greater than the stated km.

Triple rooms may be provided depending on hotel availability, and the bed offered to the 3rd person in such rooms may be smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed and 1 extra bed. Since extra beds are foldable beds and coach beds, participants are deemed to have declared that they accept the possible cramped conditions in the rooms and the bed type in 3rd person and/or child reservations.

Child discounts are valid for only one (1) child staying with 2 adults and matching the age group specified in the pricing section.

Breakfasts included in the tour program and taken at the hotel are served in accordance with the breakfast culture of the country you are in and are generally presented as a limited menu, usually called continental breakfast, consisting of butter, jam, bread, tea or coffee, and may be served in a separate hall allocated to the group.

CLOTHING AND REQUIRED ITEMS

Finland is very cold in winter. For this reason, we recommend that you bring a thick jacket/coat, wool sweaters, fleeces, thick trousers, wool or fleece gloves, a hat and a scarf. In addition, you may also bring snow goggles, sunscreen, earplugs against possible noise, a camera, video camera and their chargers and spare memory cards. The special clothing required for the extra tours you join will be given to you on the day you participate in the tour.

Having a valid passport and/or having obtained a visa (for a destination/passport requiring a visa) does not mean that entry into the country is guaranteed. Panoramic city tours included in the tour package are tours organized for the general introduction of cities, lasting at most 2-3 hours, carried out panoramically from inside the vehicle with guide commentary and not including museum or archaeological site entrances. Bin Rota is not responsible for the inability to carry out panoramic tours, including other tours specified in the program, if on the day and time of the tour they coincide with the tour and are not permitted by local authorities to be visited or entered, or if they are not carried out due to closed roads because of any event, or when the tour becomes impossible due to weather conditions. Some tours may, where possible, be carried out by public transport or on foot in places where roads are closed or vehicle entry is not permitted.

Tour Program
Istanbul - Rovaniemi - Tornio
Meeting with our esteemed guests at the departure terminal of Istanbul Airport. After our ticket, baggage, and passport procedures, we depart in the morning on Freebird Airlines’ special flight FH 811 to Rovaniemi. Upon our arrival in Rovaniemi at noon and after customs and passport procedures, we proceed by our private vehicle to Santa Claus Village. At Santa Claus Village, which has been among the top 10 must-visit destinations for travel enthusiasts since 2008, you will have the chance to meet Santa Claus, take a photo with him, and send postcards to your loved ones from Santa Claus’s Post Office. At the same time, during your free time in the wide variety of shops available for shopping, you will have the opportunity to delight your loved ones with unique and special gifts. After free time, we head to our hotel in Tornio. On the way, we will collect our thermal clothing (snowsuit, boots, gloves, and wool socks). Accommodation at our Tornio hotel. After a short rest, we will carry out our Northern Lights Hunt tour. If we are lucky, we may witness this mesmerizing natural phenomenon.
Tornio
After the breakfast we will have early in the morning, we are giving free time for the entire day. For those who wish, we depart for Kemi with our guide for the optional Snow Safari Tour (Snowmobile Tour), which will be organized by our guide. On our snow safari tour, we will experience a 1-hour ride on Lapland’s special snowmobiles. After our tour, we will visit SnowExperience 365, which includes ice sculptures, an ice slide, and an ice restaurant, much like something out of a fairy tale. You may even sit at ice tables and sip your drinks. After the tour, we return to our hotel. Snowmobile Tour 1 Hour (1 vehicle / 2 people) & SnowExperience Adult: €225 / per person, Child (04–12 years): €135 Note: (During the snowmobile tour, children will take part in this tour in a sled that will be pulled by the staff member’s snowmobile.)
Tornio
After our early morning breakfast, we will have a full day at leisure. Guests who wish may join our optional Reindeer Farm & Husky Safari tour, organized by our guide. Our tour begins with a transfer to the Reindeer farm. On this tour, we experience a short Reindeer sled ride at the Reindeer farm and receive a “Reindeer Driving Certificate,” then spend pleasant moments around a fire inside a traditional Lappish tent. We then transfer to the Husky farm, where we spend time with these adorable animals of the cold season, learn how to handle the Husky dogs in our own team, and enjoy driving the Husky sleds along a 3 km trail. Afterwards, we will have our buffet lunch, including reindeer meat, at a mountain lodge restaurant surrounded by snow-covered forests. We will then transfer to our hotel in Tornio for some rest. In the evening, guests who wish may join our Northern Lights Hunt tour, organized by our guide (€40 per person). If we are lucky, we may witness this enchanting natural phenomenon. Tornio - Rovaniemi - Istanbul
After our breakfast at the hotel, we transfer to the airport. We fly to Istanbul on Freebird Airlines flight FH 812, a special charter service. Our tour concludes upon arrival at Istanbul Airport in the evening. We hope to see you on our next tour.
