Participation Requirement

This tour is organized with a minimum participation requirement of 40 people.  If sufficient participation is not achieved, the final cancellation notification date is 20 days before the tour start. The tour canceled due to insufficient participation will be notified to you through your agency.

You must have a passport valid for 6 months from the end date of the trip and not older than 10 years.

In destinations requiring a visa, the visa application must be made with the documents specified in the "Required Documents for Visa" list that your agency will provide you for the visa application. In order to avoid any issues with customs police at the border of the country to be visited due to torn, worn, wet and/or similarly damaged passports; such passports must be renewed and, if the relevant country applies a visa to T.C. citizens, the relevant visa must be in the new passport. Otherwise, responsibility belongs to the passenger. As our guests under 18 travel alone or with only one of their parents, there is a possibility that the police officer in charge at the country's entry and exit may request a document showing the mutual consent of the parents; therefore, we recommend that our guests under 18 and their parents pay attention to this matter.

Health

There is no vaccination requirement upon entry to Spain. We do not think there will be any problem threatening your health with meals to be taken in the region's good restaurants and hotels. However, when you are not with the group, we recommend that you be careful about food and drink, definitely consume bottled water, avoid ice, milk and dairy products, eat meat and fish products that you are sure are well cooked, and for fruit, eat fruits that can be peeled such as bananas and pineapples.

Optional Tours & Activities

Optional tours and activities are organized by the local agency from which we receive service with a minimum participation requirement of 20 people, and participation is not mandatory. If sufficient numbers are not achieved, the tours cannot be carried out, or the prices, content, and vehicle to be used for optional tours / activities may vary according to the number of participants. In addition, the days and times of optional tours / activities may be changed by the guide according to the opening/closing status of the museums, ruins or venues in the places to be visited and according to weather conditions.

Accommodation

During periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., hotels may be used at distances greater than the specified km. Triple rooms may be provided depending on hotel availability, and the bed offered to the 3rd person in such rooms may be smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed and 1 extra bed. Since extra beds are folding beds and coach beds, participants, 3rd person and/or children reservations are deemed to have declared that they accept the congestion that may occur in the rooms and the bed type. Child discounts are valid for only one (1) child staying with 2 adults and matching the age group specified in the pricing section. Breakfasts taken at the hotel from the services included in the tour program are served in accordance with the breakfast culture of the country and generally with a limited menu called continental breakfast, consisting of butter, jam, bread, tea or coffee, and may be served in a separate hall allocated to the group for groups.

Clothing and Necessary Items

If you are going in the summer season, we recommend that you bring T-shirts that can be easily put on and taken off, short- and long-sleeved shirts, cotton trousers, shorts, comfortable walking shoes, a thin jacket and a thin sweater for the evenings.  In addition; you can also bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, earplugs against possible noise, a camera, a video camera and their chargers and spare memory cards. In the winter period, we recommend clothes that allow you to move comfortably and keep you warm.

Food Culture

Spanish cuisine derives from a complex history in which Spain's invasions and conquests changed traditions and introduced new ingredients. Thus, Spain's current and old cuisine combines old and new traditions. Gazpacho soup, Fajita and delicious snack Tapas are among the important flavors of the cuisine.

Important Notes

Having a valid passport and/or obtaining a visa (for the destination/passport requiring a visa) does not mean that entry into the country will be allowed. The passport police have the authority to refuse you entry into the country. Papuatur is not responsible for this situation; responsibility belongs to the passenger.  Papuatur is an intermediary institution between the airline and the passenger and is subject to the 28.09.1955 Hague Protocol. There may be a risk of delay on scheduled and special flights, or times may change before the current tour and flight. Papuatur is obliged to notify these changes as soon as possible. Our passengers have purchased the tour knowing and accepting that flight details may change. Children aged 0-2 do not pay airport tax and airport service fee. Panoramic city tours included in the tour package are tours organized for the general introduction of cities and carried out panoramically with guide narration from inside the vehicle, lasting at most 2-3 hours and not including museum or site entrance fees. Papuatur is not responsible for the inability to carry out panoramic tours, including other tours specified in the program, if they cannot be realized on the day and time of the tour due to restrictions by local authorities on visiting or entering, or due to closed roads because of any event, or when weather conditions make the tour impossible. Some tours may be carried out by public transportation or on foot, where possible, at closed roads or points where vehicle access is not permitted.

Tour Program
Istanbul - Barcelona
After meeting your guide at Istanbul Airport International Terminal, you will complete your baggage and ticket procedures at the Turkish Airlines counter and then depart for Barcelona on a scheduled Turkish Airlines flight. Upon arrival, we will embark on a panoramic tour of Barcelona, where we will discover the capital of Catalonia and the second-largest city in Spain. During our tour, the sights to be seen include the Christopher Columbus Monument, La Sagrada Familia Church, La Rambla Street, Montjuïc Hill, Spain and Catalunya Squares, Paseo de Gracia, Gran Via Street, the Andalusian Arena, and the Olympic Port. After the panoramic tour, transfer to our hotel and check in to our rooms. Overnight at our hotel.
Barcelona
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart the hotel with guests who wish to join the optional Girona & Figueres & Dali Museum Tour organized by our guide (entrance tickets included, 80 Euros). Our tour begins with the city of Girona, the jewel of Northern Catalonia. While the region is historically very rich, it is also a unique place marked by many occupations and reigns. Its cobbled narrow streets, the Lion Statue, the Jewish Quarter, Cathedral Square, historic city walls, churches, and museums are among the places to be seen. We then head to the city of Figueres. In the town where Salvador Dalí was born in 1904, there is also the Dalí Museum, where we can view his works. The artist, who designed every detail of the museum himself, presents more than 4,000 works created using various techniques. Afterwards, we enjoy shopping at the famous La Roca Village Outlet, Barcelona’s shopping paradise, which offers advantageous shopping opportunities from world-renowned brands. At the end of the day, we transfer back to the hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
Barcelona - Zaragoza - Madrid
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for a tour of Zaragoza. Upon arrival, we will take a panoramic city tour where we will see the Ebro River, the Basilica Cathedral of Our Lady of the Pillar, La Seo Cathedral, San Pablo Church, Plaza España, and the Puente de Piedra among the sights. At the end of our tour, we head to Madrid. We transfer to the hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
Madrid - Toledo - Madrid
After breakfast at the hotel, we begin our panoramic tour of Madrid city. The sites to be seen include the Alcalá Gate, Cibeles Square and Fountain, Paseo del Prado and the Apollo Fountain, Retiro Park, Castellana Avenues, the Bullring, the Botanical Garden, the Neptune Fountain, and City Hall. After our tour, those who wish may join the Toledo excursion, which will be organized optionally by our guide (95 Euro). Known as the former capital of Spain and one of the important cities on the UNESCO World Heritage List, Toledo—also known as the city of El Greco—is one of the rare cities that has managed to remain unchanged since the 16th century. In the city, which will welcome us with buildings bearing traces of Roman, Visigothic, Arabic, Gothic, and Renaissance architecture, narrow streets, paintings by El Greco, and of course its famous cathedral, we will take a walk in the Jewish Quarter before transferring back to Madrid. Overnight at our hotel.
Madrid - Seville
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Seville. Upon arrival, we will take a panoramic city tour of Seville; the places we will see include Plaza de España, Torre del Oro, the Convent of Santa Paula, the Maria Luisa Park, famous for its pools and gardens, and Santa Cruz Square. During the city tour, we will also see the Alcázar Palace, one of the finest examples of Arab architecture, and the Seville Cathedral, the third largest cathedral in the world, from the outside. In the evening, guests who wish may participate in the Flamenco Show Night event, a Spanish classic, which will be organized optionally by our guide (50 Euros). At the end of the night, we return to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
Seville - Córdoba - Granada
After breakfast at our hotel, we depart from our hotel with guests who wish to join the optional Cordoba Old Town & Cordoba Mosque Tour organized by our guide (including entrance tickets, 85 Euro). In Cordoba, which was one of the most populated cities in the world in the 10th and 11th centuries, it is known that Jews, Christians, and Muslims lived in peace during that period, and thanks to the contributions of important philosophers, scientists, and artists, the city became one of Europe’s most important cultural centers. On our tour in Cordoba, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, we will see the Renaissance-era Palacio de Viana, the Jewish Quarter, and the Cordoba Mosque, one of the most influential works of Western Islamic art, whose construction began in 785 and was completed in 987. We then transfer to Granada. Overnight at our hotel.

After breakfast at our hotel, we depart for the Alhambra Palace Tour (entrance tickets included) (Since tickets are issued in personal names and are limited, in high season it may not be possible to secure a ticket to the harem for late bookings.) On this tour, we will visit the Alhambra Palace, famous for its Arabesque architecture, pools, and gardens, and listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. After the tour, we transfer back to our hotel and provide free time. Later, on our Granada city tour, sights to be seen among the historical streets of Granada, with monuments dating back to the Umayyad and Abbasid periods, include Gran Via, La Rambla Square, the Arab Bazaar, and the Town Hall Square. Accommodation is at our hotel. In the evening, for those who wish, we depart with our guide for the optional Albaicín and Sacromonte Gypsy Quarter Night Tour (40 Euro). On this tour, we will watch an unforgettable flamenco show in the old gypsy settlements located opposite the Alhambra Palace on the slopes of the Sierra Nevada Mountains; after the show, you will have the opportunity to explore the Sacromonte and Albaicín districts and see the Alhambra Palace illuminated. After the tour, we transfer back to our hotel and provide free time. Overnight at our hotel.
Granada - Malaga - Istanbul
After breakfast at our hotel, we will have free time until the time determined by our guide. Then we transfer to Malaga Airport. After baggage, ticket, and customs procedures, we fly to Istanbul on Turkish Airlines’ scheduled flight. Upon arrival, our tour and services come to an end.
