Istanbul - Catania - Etna
Meet our valued guests at 04:15 by entering through Gate 3 at Istanbul Airport, in front of THY’s international departures F counter (counters 1–27), and complete check-in formalities. Depart for Catania at 08:10 on THY flight TK1393. Arrive in Catania at 08:35 local time. We will take a panoramic tour with our waiting vehicle. Then we begin our Etna tour. As we make our way toward Etna, we will have the opportunity to take magnificent photos of Mount Etna, which welcomes us with its vegetation and scenery. Along our route, at Etna, the highest active volcanic mountain in Europe, we will see Silvestri, the second crater at an altitude of 1,800 meters. Don’t forget to take some of the smoking rock pieces as souvenirs! Our tour will end amidst many scenic spots where we can take photos in the area formed by the lava of Mount Etna. Afterwards, we return to our hotel.
Savoca - Taormina - Giardini Naxos - Catania
After breakfast, we begin our full-day tour at the time previously specified by our guide. On our Savoca, Taormina, and Giardini Naxos tour, we will see the places where the world-famous movie “The Godfather” was filmed. We will then visit Bar Vitelli and San Michele Church. After walking through streets like a movie set, we head to Taormina, the pearl of the Ionian Sea and the most beautiful coastal town in Sicily. Nestled at the foot of the breathtaking Mount Tauro, we explore this charming town with its streets, souvenir shops, and avenues. We then continue to Giardini Naxos, famous for its captivating volcanic beach and colorful streets. In this cultural mosaic, where the Greeks settled in the 6th century BC and later the Phoenicians and Romans lived, you can take magnificent photos. At the end of the tour, we return to our hotel.
Syracuse - Catania
After breakfast, we leave the hotel for a full-day Siracusa tour. In Siracusa, the city where the famous mathematician Archimedes lived, we visit the Fountain of Arethusa, the Cathedral, the Fountain of Diana, and the Temple of Apollo. Then we return to Catania. In the city center of Catania, the places we will see panoramically include the Duomo Cathedral, the Fontana dell’Elefante, Republic Square (Piazza Repubblica), and Etna Street. After free time, transfer to our hotel.
Catania – Malta / Gozo Island – Dwejra – T’pino Church – Victoria Rabat – Xlendi – Mgarr
After breakfast, we hand over our room keys to the reception and complete our check-out procedures, then depart for Catania Airport. We fly to Malta on Air Malta flight KM641, departing at 07:35 and arriving at 08:15. After checking in to our hotel, we begin our Gozo tour with your guide. We cross to Gozo Island by ferry from Cirkewwa Port. In Gozo, with its peaceful green nature, we visit Dwejra, which has hosted films such as Troy, Gladiator, and Game of Thrones, and then T’Pino Church, a place of pilgrimage. We will have the opportunity to taste local products such as honey, carob, liqueur, and cheese. Afterwards, we enjoy free time in the fishing village of Xlendi. In Victoria Rabat, we see St. George’s Basilica and wander the streets. At the end of the tour, we return to Malta from Mgarr Port and transfer to our hotel.
Mosta – Mdina – Valletta (Game of Thrones) – Marsaxlokk - Istanbul
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer to the bus with our luggage. Our full-day tour begins. We visit the Santa Maria Assunta Church in Mosta, which has the third largest dome in Europe. Then we head to Mdina, where some scenes from Game of Thrones were filmed. After seeing historical structures such as the Cathedral, the Grandmaster’s Palace, and the Carmelite Church, we take a break at Fontanella Cafe. Later, we explore the capital, Valletta. Our final stop is the Marsaxlokk Fishing Village. We enjoy pleasant time there with its colorful boats and lively market. Then transfer to the airport and depart for Istanbul at 19:15 on THY flight TK1372. Arrival at 22:45 and the end of our tour.
