Tour Program
Day 1; Çeşme – Chios, Chios Southern Island Tour
Departure from Çeşme Ulusoy Port at 08:30. After completing check-in procedures at the ferry office located opposite Ege Port one hour before departure, we board the ferry and set off for Chios Port. Following a sea journey of approximately 30 minutes, we arrive on the island, where our guide meets us at Chios Port and we begin our island tour. Our first stop is Armolia Village, famous for its handmade ceramics. Here, we take a short break for a ceramics workshop. We then visit Mesta, one of the best-preserved castle villages from the Middle Ages to the present day. We stroll through its maze-like narrow streets, take a coffee break in the village square, and see the Church of Taxiarchis. Next, we continue to Pyrgi Village, renowned for its houses decorated with geometric patterns. Our guide provides information about the special decorative technique known as “xysta.” After the tour, we have free time for lunch at a seaside taverna. Guests who wish may enjoy fresh seafood and meze. At the end of the tour, we transfer to our hotel and may spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2; Chios Island, Serbet Day
After the breakfast we will have at the hotel, we can spend the day as we wish. Guests who desire may take a pleasant stroll through the lively center of Chios Island, enjoy shopping at boutique stores, sip their coffee at seaside cafés accompanied by Aegean views, or enjoy the sea in its crystal-clear waters. With the optional activities recommended by our guide, you can make your day even more colorful. In the evening, guests who wish may join an unforgettable Greek Night, where they can taste the exquisite flavors of traditional Greek cuisine and enjoy live music and dance performances accompanied by “bouzouki” melodies. Accommodation at our hotel.
Day 3; Chios Northern Island Tour, Chios - Çeşme
After breakfast at our hotel, we begin our North Island tour. Our first stop is Tabakika, one of the island’s symbols, the historic four windmills by the sea. Here, we take a photo break accompanied by views of the Aegean. We then continue to Daskalopetra, believed to be the place where Homer wrote his works. This rocky area, turned into a school by his students in the 6th century BC, is one of the island’s most important sites both historically and culturally. We take our lunch break in Langada, a charming fishing village. At the seaside tavernas, we have the opportunity to experience fresh seafood, meze, and local delicacies. On the way back, we stop for a photo break at Agios Isidoros Church, one of Chios Island’s iconic structures, located over the sea. According to legend, mastic gum is said to be associated with this saint. After our tour, we head to the port. After completing customs and passport procedures, we begin our return journey to Çeşme on the 18:15 ferry.
