Tour Program
Istanbul - Cairo
We meet at Istanbul Airport International Departures Terminal and, after ticketing, baggage, and boarding procedures, depart on a scheduled Turkish Airlines flight to Cairo. Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, we leave the airport with our private vehicle waiting for us and head out for a city tour. We begin our panoramic Cairo city tour. Among the places we will see are the old city center, the Mosque of Muhammad Ali, Sadat’s tomb, Baron Palace, Tahrir Square, the city center along the Nile, and Khan El Khalili Bazaar. At the end of the tour, after some free time, we will transfer to our hotel. Guests who wish may join the optional evening Nile cruise and entertainment on the Nile River, organized by our guide (with dinner – 85 USD). Overnight at our hotel.
Cairo
After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Guests who wish may join our guide’s optional tour of the Cairo Museum & Giza Pyramids & Sphinx (including lunch, USD 120 per person). Our first stop will be the Cairo Museum, which reveals Egyptian history in all its details and houses many fascinating mummies. Next, we will visit the Keops, Kefren, and Mikerinos pyramids, one of the Seven Wonders of the World and named after the pharaohs who had them built. These three pyramids, which have preserved their mysteries for thousands of years, were designed in the shape of a Pythagorean triangle. The fact that they were built centuries before Pythagoras shows how advanced the ancient Egyptians were in mathematics and geometry. After exploring the mysterious pyramids, we will see the Sphinx, with the head of a pharaoh and the body of a lion, symbolizing the rising sun and the pharaoh’s rebirth. After visiting the Sphinx, also known as the “living statue,” which has a temple between its paws, free time will be given and then we will be transferred back to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
Cairo - Aswan
After breakfast at the hotel, we check out and take a local airline flight of about one hour to Aswan. Upon arrival, we visit the city on a tour, then proceed to visit the Philae Temple, one of Egypt’s most magnificent temples, and the Aswan High Dam, which took 10 years to build and is the largest dam on the Nile River. After our visits, we complete the day with a traditional Felluca boat ride on the Nile River. Overnight at our hotel.
Aswan - Luxor
After having breakfast at the hotel, we check out and, after a journey of approximately 4.5 hours by bus, arrive in Luxor. Upon arrival, our first stop will be the Karnak Temple, the largest temple complex in Egypt. We set off to see the Karnak Temple, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List and is the largest ancient structure ever built in the world. Surrounded by 20-meter-high mudbrick-covered walls and containing many temples within, this magnificent structure offers important insights into Egypt’s history and mythology. As we tour this glorious monument, whose construction took more than 2,000 years and where each pharaoh added more than the additions made by the pharaoh before him, we will feel as though we are tiny. After our visit to Karnak Temple, in Luxor, which hosts the world’s largest open-air museum, we will visit Luxor Temple, built in honor of Amon, the greatest of the ancient Egyptian gods, by the 9th Pharaoh. Following our tour of this impressive temple that resembles an open-air museum, we will transfer to our hotel to rest. In the evening, guests who wish may optionally join the Karnak Temple Sound and Light Show organized by our guide (70 USD). Overnight at our hotel.
Locksmith
After breakfast at the hotel, guests who wish may join the optional Valley of the Kings & Hatshepsut Temple tour (with dinner – 100 USD), which will be organized by our guide. We begin our tour by exploring the Valley of the Kings, where the tombs built for pharaohs and powerful nobles are located. The kings had their tombs constructed in this mysterious valley in order to protect their valuables from being stolen and to ensure the peaceful continuation of their immortality. After visiting the Valley of the Kings, we head to Hatshepsut Temple, built in memory of Hatshepsut, the first and only female pharaoh of Ancient Egypt. After touring this monumental structure, one of the most important mortuary temples belonging to Hatshepsut, who dressed like a king and wore a false beard after becoming queen, we transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
Luxor - Hurghada
After breakfast at the hotel, we head to Hurghada, where there is plenty of sea, sand, and sun. Upon our arrival in Hurghada, transfer to our hotel will take place for rest. You can enjoy the sea, sand, and sun throughout the day. At the end of the day, we settle into our hotel in Hurghada. Dinner and accommodation will be at our hotel in Hurghada on an all-inclusive basis.
Hurgada - Istanbul
Late at night, we will check out of the hotel and head to the airport. (Our breakfast will be provided in box form.) After our ticket, passport, and baggage procedures, we will depart for Istanbul on Turkish Airlines’ scheduled flight.
