Participation Requirement

There is a maximum of 30 people for this trip. In the event of a possible route or date change by the cruise company, the tour will continue on its new route.

You must have a passport valid for 6 months from the end date of the trip and not older than 10 years.

Having a valid passport and/or having obtained a visa (for a destination/passport requiring a visa) does not mean that entry into the country will be permitted. The passport police have the authority to deny you entry. Gazella is not responsible for this situation; responsibility belongs to the passenger. 

For destinations requiring a visa, the visa application must be made with the documents specified in the “Required Documents for Visa” list that your agency will provide you for the visa application.

In order to avoid problems with customs police at the border gate of the country to be visited due to torn, worn, wet and/or similarly damaged passports, such passports should be renewed, and if the country applies a visa to T.R. citizens, the relevant visa must be in the new passport. Otherwise, responsibility belongs to the passenger. 

As our guests under 18 may be asked by the officer at country entry/exit points to present a document showing the mutual consent of the parents when traveling alone or with only one of their parents, we recommend that our guests under 18 and their parents pay special attention to this matter.

Health

There is no vaccination requirement upon entry to Germany. We do not think you will encounter any problem that could threaten your health with meals taken at the region’s good restaurants and hotels. However, when you are not with the group, we recommend that you be careful about food and drink, definitely consume bottled water, avoid ice, milk and dairy products, eat meat and fish products that you are sure are well cooked, and for fruit choose peelable fruits such as bananas and pineapples.

Food

We do not think you will encounter any problem that could threaten your health with meals you will have during your cruise. However, when you are not on the ship, we recommend that you be careful about food and drink, definitely consume bottled water, avoid ice, milk and dairy products, eat meat and fish products that you are sure are well cooked, and for fruit choose peelable fruits such as bananas and pineapples. Current vaccination/PCR rules must be followed at country entries and on return to the country.

Optional Tours & Activities

Optional tours and activities are organized by the local agency we use with a minimum participation requirement of 20 people, and participation is not mandatory. If the required number is not met, the tours may not take place, or optional tour/activity prices, content, and the vehicle to be used may vary depending on the number of participants. In addition, the days and times of extra tours/activities may be changed by the guide according to the opening/closing status of museums, archaeological sites, or venues at the places to be visited, and according to weather conditions.

The panoramic city tours included in the tour package are tours organized for the general introduction of the cities, conducted panoramically from inside the vehicle with guide commentary, and lasting at most 2-3 hours without museum or archaeological site entrances. The Tour Operator is not responsible for the inability to carry out the aforementioned tours, including other tours specified in the program, if they cannot be conducted because, on the day and time corresponding to the tour, local authorities do not allow visits or entry, or due to closed roads caused by any event, and likewise in cases where weather conditions make the tour impossible. Some tours may, where possible, be carried out by public transport or on foot at points where roads are closed or vehicle entry is not permitted.

The European currency is Euro (EUR).

Time Zone

Germany, Luxembourg, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands are 1 hour behind Turkey during daylight saving time and 2 hours behind during winter time.

Phone Use

It can be used if your mobile phone line is open to international calls (roaming).

Clothing and Necessary Items

If traveling in the summer season, we recommend that you bring T-shirts that can be easily put on and taken off, short- and long-sleeved shirts, cotton trousers, shorts, comfortable walking shoes, a light jacket for evenings, and a thin sweater. In addition, you may also bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, earplugs against possible noise, a camera, a video camera, their chargers, and spare memory cards. In winter, we recommend clothing that allows you to move comfortably and keeps you warm.

Food Culture

When German cuisine is mentioned, the first things that come to mind are cakes, potatoes, and of course beer. In this cuisine, which has a wide variety of meat and vegetables, there is also a great variety of beer and wine.

French cuisine, with roots dating back to the Middle Ages, has a rich culture. Famous for its well-known local drinks and various cheeses, French cuisine is recognized worldwide for meat dishes cooked with different sauces and delightful desserts such as crème brûlée, macarons, and soufflé.

Belgian cuisine combines the traditions of German and French cuisines.

Although Dutch cuisine is not very rich, its cheeses are worth trying. Other delicacies are generally of the fast-food type.

 Electricity

The electrical outlets are the same as in Turkey.

Shopping

There are shopping centers in city centers and opportunities to shop from small souvenir stalls.

The agency is an intermediary institution between the airline and the passenger and is subject to the Hague Protocol dated 28.09.1955. There may be a risk of delay on scheduled and special flights, or the times may change before the current trip and flight. The agency is obliged to notify these changes as soon as possible. Our passengers have purchased the tour knowing and accepting that flight details may change. Children aged 0-2 do not pay airport tax and airport service fee
