Participation Requirement

There is a maximum limit of 30 people on this trip. In the event of a possible route and date change by the cruise company, the tour will continue on its new route.

You must have a passport valid for 6 months from the end date of the trip and not older than 10 years.

Having a valid passport and/or having obtained a visa (for the destination/passport requiring a visa) does not mean that entry into the country will be granted. The passport police has the authority to deny you entry into the country. Gazella is not responsible for this situation; responsibility belongs to the passenger. 

For destinations requiring a visa, the visa application must be made with the documents specified in the “Documents Required for Visa” list that your agency will provide to you for the visa application.

In order to avoid problems with customs police at the border of the country to be visited due to torn, worn, wet and/or similarly damaged passports; such passports must be renewed, and if the destination is a country that applies a visa to T.R. citizens, the relevant visa must be in the new passport. Otherwise, responsibility belongs to the passenger. 

Since our guests under the age of 18 traveling alone or with only one of their mother or father may be asked by the police officer at the country entry and exit points for a document showing the mutual consent of the parents, we recommend that our under-18 guests and their parents be careful about this issue.

Health

There is no vaccination requirement for entry into Germany. We do not think there will be any problems threatening your health with meals taken at the region’s good restaurants and hotels. However, when you are not with the group, we recommend that you be careful about food and drink, consume only bottled water, avoid ice, milk and dairy products, eat meat and fish products that you are sure are well cooked, and for fruit, eat fruits that can be peeled such as bananas and pineapples.

Food

We do not think there will be any problems threatening your health with the meals you will have during your cruise. However, when you are not on the ship, we recommend that you be careful about food and drink, consume only bottled water, avoid ice, milk and dairy products, eat meat and fish products that you are sure are well cooked, and for fruit, eat fruits that can be peeled such as bananas and pineapples. Current vaccination/PCR rules must be followed at country entries and when returning home.

Optional Tours & Activities

Optional tours and activities are organized by the local agency we work with, with a minimum participation requirement of 20 people, and participation is not mandatory. If the required number is not reached, the trips may not take place, or the prices, content, and vehicle used for optional tours/activities may vary according to the number of participants. In addition, the days and times of extra tours/activities may be changed by the guide according to whether museums, ruins, or venues at the destinations are open/closed and according to weather conditions.

The panoramic city tours included in the tour package are tours organized for the general introduction of the cities, carried out panoramically from inside the vehicle with guide commentary, and lasting no more than 2-3 hours, excluding museum and archaeological site entrances. The Tour Operator is not responsible for the failure of these tours, including other tours specified in the program, if local authorities do not allow visits or entry on the day and time corresponding to the tour, or if they do not take place due to closed roads because of any event, or if weather conditions make the tour impossible. Some tours may be carried out by public transportation or on foot where roads are closed or vehicle access is not permitted, depending on the circumstances.

Time Zone

Germany, Luxembourg, France, Belgium and the Netherlands are 1 hour behind Turkey in summer time and 2 hours behind in winter time.

Phone Usage

Your mobile phone line can be used if it is open for international calls (roaming).

Clothing and Necessary Items

If traveling in the summer season, we recommend bringing t-shirts that can be easily put on and taken off, short- and long-sleeved shirts, cotton pants, shorts, comfortable walking shoes, a light jacket for the evenings, and a light sweater. In addition, you may also bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, earplugs against possible noise, a camera, a video camera, and their chargers and spare memory cards. In the winter season, we recommend clothing that allows comfortable movement and keeps you warm.

Cuisine Culture

When it comes to German cuisine, the first things that come to mind are cakes, potatoes, and of course beer. In this culture, which has a great variety of meat and vegetables, there is also a wide variety of beer and wine.

French cuisine, whose roots go back to the Middle Ages, has a rich culture. Famous for its well-known local drinks and a variety of cheeses, French cuisine is known worldwide for meat dishes cooked with different sauces and famous desserts such as crème brûlée, macaron and soufflé.

Belgian cuisine combines the traditions of German and French cuisines.

Although Dutch cuisine is not a very rich cuisine, its cheeses are worth trying. The other flavors are generally fast food style.

 Electricity

The electrical outlets are the same as in Turkey.

Shopping

Shopping is available at shopping centers in city centers and small stalls selling souvenirs.

The agency is an intermediary institution between the airline and the passenger and is subject to the Hague Protocol dated 28.09.1955. There may be a risk of delay on scheduled and special flights, or times may change before the current trip and flight. The agency is obliged to notify these changes as soon as possible. Our passengers have purchased the tour knowing and accepting that flight details may change. Children aged 0-2 do not pay airport tax and airport service fees
