Participation Requirement

There is a maximum limit of 30 people for this trip. In the event of a possible route and date change by the cruise company, the tour will continue on its new route.

You must have a passport valid for 6 months from the end date of the trip and not older than 10 years.

Having a valid passport and/or having obtained a visa (for destinations/passports requiring a visa) does not mean that entry into the country is guaranteed. The passport police have the authority to deny you entry into the country. Gazella is not responsible for this situation; responsibility belongs to the passenger. 

For destinations requiring a visa, the visa application must be made with the documents specified in the “Documents Required for Visa” list that your agency will provide to you for the visa application.

In order to avoid problems with customs police at the border of the country to be visited due to torn, worn, wet and/or similarly damaged passports; such passports must be renewed, and if the country applies visas to Turkish citizens, the relevant visa must be in the new passport. Otherwise, responsibility belongs to the passenger. 

Since our guests under the age of 18 may be asked for a document showing the joint consent of the parents by the police officer in charge at country entry and exit points when traveling alone or with only one parent; we recommend that our guests under 18 and their parents be attentive to this issue.

Health

There is no vaccination requirement upon entry to Germany. We do not think you will encounter any problem that could threaten your health with meals taken at the region’s good restaurants and hotels. However, when you are not with the group, we recommend that you be careful about food and drink, that you definitely consume bottled water, avoid ice, milk and dairy products, eat meat and fish products that you are sure are well cooked, and for fruit, choose fruits with peel that can be removed such as bananas and pineapples.

Meals

We do not think you will encounter any problem that could threaten your health with the meals you will have during your cruise. However, when you are not on the ship, we recommend that you be careful about food and drink, that you definitely consume bottled water, avoid ice, milk and dairy products, eat meat and fish products that you are sure are well cooked, and for fruit, choose fruits with peel that can be removed such as bananas and pineapples. Current vaccination/PCR rules must be followed at country entry and when returning home.

Optional Tours & Activities

Optional tours and activities are organized by the local agency we receive service from with a minimum participation requirement of 20 people, and participation is not mandatory. If the required number is not reached, the excursions cannot be carried out, or optional tour/activity prices, content, and the vehicle to be used may vary according to the number of participants. In addition, the days and times of extra tours/activities may be changed by the guide depending on whether museums, archaeological sites, or venues at the destinations are open/closed and on weather conditions.

The panoramic city tours included in the tour package are tours of up to 2-3 hours, organized for general introduction of the cities and conducted panoramically from inside the vehicle with guide narration, not including museum or archaeological site entrances. The Tour Operator is not responsible for the inability to carry out the mentioned tours if, including the other tours specified in the program, they cannot take place because the local authorities do not permit sightseeing or entry on the day and time corresponding to the tour, or due to roads closed because of any event, or when weather conditions make the tour impossible. Some tours may be carried out by public transportation or on foot where roads are closed or vehicle entry is not permitted, if feasible.

The European currency is Euro (EUR).

Time Zone

Germany, Luxembourg, France, Belgium and the Netherlands are 1 hour behind Turkey in daylight saving time and 2 hours behind in winter time.

Phone Usage

If your mobile phone line is open to international calls (roaming), it can be used.

Clothing and Necessary Items

If traveling in the summer season, we recommend that you bring T-shirts that can be easily put on and taken off, short- and long-sleeved shirts, cotton pants, shorts, comfortable walking shoes, a light jacket for the evenings, and a light sweater. In addition, you may bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, earplugs for possible noise, a camera, video camera and their chargers, and spare memory cards. In the winter period, we recommend clothes that allow comfortable movement and keep you warm.

Food Culture

When German food culture is mentioned, cakes, potatoes and of course beer come first to mind. In this culture, which has a great variety of meat and vegetables, the variety of beer and wine is also quite extensive.

French cuisine, whose roots go back to the Middle Ages, has a rich culture. Famous for its well-known local drinks and a wide variety of cheeses, French cuisine is renowned worldwide for its meat dishes cooked with different sauces and famous desserts such as crème brûlée, macaron and soufflé.

Belgian cuisine has combined the traditions of German and French cuisines.

Although Dutch cuisine is not very rich, its cheeses are worth trying. Other delicacies are generally in fast food style.

 Electricity

The power outlets are the same as in Turkey.

Shopping

There is an opportunity to shop at shopping centers in city centers and at small stalls selling souvenirs.

The agency is an intermediary institution between the airline and the passenger and is subject to the Hague Protocol dated 28.09.1955. There may be a risk of delay on scheduled and special flights, or times may change before the current trip and flight. The agency is obliged to notify such changes as soon as possible. Our passengers have purchased the tour knowing and accepting that flight details may change. Children aged 0-2 do not pay airport tax and airport services fee
