Participation Condition

A maximum of 30 people is required for this trip. In the event of a possible route and date change by the cruise company, the tour continues with its new route.

You must have a passport valid for 6 months from the end date of the trip and not older than 10 years.

Having a valid passport and/or having obtained a visa (for a destination/passport requiring a visa) does not mean that entry into the country will be granted. The passport police have the authority to deny you entry to the country. Gazella is not responsible for this; responsibility belongs to the passenger. 

For destinations requiring a visa, the visa application must be made with the documents specified in the “Required Documents for Visa” list that your agency will provide to you for the visa application.

To avoid problems with customs police at the border of the country to be visited due to passports that are torn, worn, wet, and/or similarly damaged; such passports must be renewed, and if it is a country that applies visas to Turkish citizens, the relevant visa must be in the new passport. Otherwise, responsibility belongs to the passenger. 

As our guests under 18 traveling alone or with only one of their mother or father may be asked for a document showing the parents’ joint consent by the police officer on duty at the country’s entry-exit points, we recommend that our guests under 18 and their parents be sensitive about this matter.

Health

There is no vaccination requirement at the entry to Germany. We do not think that there will be any problem threatening your health with meals taken at the region’s good restaurants and hotels. However, when you are not with the group, we recommend that you be careful about food and drink, definitely consume bottled water, avoid ice, milk and dairy products, eat meat and fish products that you are sure are well cooked, and for fruit, eat fruits that can be peeled such as bananas and pineapples.

Meals

We do not think that there will be any problem threatening your health with the meals you will receive during your cruise. However, when you are not on the ship, we recommend that you be careful about food and drink, definitely consume bottled water, avoid ice, milk and dairy products, eat meat and fish products that you are sure are well cooked, and for fruit, eat fruits that can be peeled such as bananas and pineapples. Current vaccination/PCR rules must be followed at country entries and when returning home.

Optional Tours & Activities

Optional tours and activities are organized by the local agency we work with, with a minimum participation requirement of 20 people, and participation is not mandatory. If the required number is not reached, excursions may not be carried out, or optional tour/activity prices, content, and the vehicle used may vary according to the number of participants. In addition, the days and times of extra tours/activities may be changed by the guide depending on whether museums, historical sites, or venues in the places to be visited are open/closed and on weather conditions.

Panoramic city tours included in the tour package are tours of up to 2-3 hours, organized for the general introduction of the cities and conducted panoramically with guide commentary from inside the vehicle, not including museum or historical site entrances. The Tour Operator is not responsible if panoramic tours, including the other tours mentioned in the program, cannot be carried out because local authorities do not allow visits or entry on the day and time of the tour, or due to closed roads because of any event, or if the tour becomes impossible due to weather conditions. Some tours may, where possible, be conducted by public transportation or on foot at closed roads or points where vehicle entry is not allowed.

Time Zone

Germany, Luxembourg, France, Belgium and the Netherlands are 1 hour behind Turkey in daylight saving time and 2 hours behind in winter time.

Phone Usage

It can be used if your mobile phone line is open to international calls (roaming).

Clothing and Necessary Items

If you are going in the summer season, we recommend that you bring T-shirts, short- and long-sleeved shirts that can be easily put on and taken off, cotton trousers, shorts, comfortable walking shoes, a light jacket and a thin sweater for the evenings. In addition, you may also bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, earplugs against possible noise, a camera, a video camera, and their chargers and spare memory cards. In the winter period, we recommend clothes that allow you to move comfortably and keep you warm.

Culinary Culture

When German cuisine is mentioned, the first things that come to mind are cakes, potatoes, and of course beer. In this culture, which has a great variety of meat and vegetables, there is also a wide variety of beer and wine.

French cuisine, whose roots go back to the Middle Ages, has a rich culture. French cuisine, famous worldwide for its renowned local beverages and a wide variety of cheeses, is known for meat dishes cooked with different sauces and famous desserts such as crème brûlée, macaron, and soufflé.

Belgian cuisine combines the traditions of German and French cuisines.

Dutch cuisine is not very rich, but its cheeses are worth trying. The other delicacies are generally fast food style.

 Electricity

The electrical outlets are the same as in Turkey.

Shopping

There are shopping malls in city centers and small stalls selling souvenirs.

The agency is an intermediary institution between the airline and the passenger and is subject to the 28.09.1955 Hague Protocol. There may be a risk of delays on scheduled and special flights, or the times may change before the current trip and flight. The agency is obliged to inform you of these changes as soon as possible. Our passengers have purchased the tour knowing and accepting that flight details may change. Children aged 0-2 do not pay airport tax and airport service fees
