Our first stop is Eguisheim, one of Alsace's charming towns. As you wander through its narrow, picturesque streets among houses adorned with colorful geraniums spilling from wooden windows and balconies, you'll feel as though you're losing yourself in stories from the past. A member of the "Les Plus Beaux Villages de France" club since 2003, Eguisheim was voted "France's Favorite Village" in 2013. After our visit to Eguisheim, we head to our second stop: Colmar. Known for its colorful houses, flower-lined streets, and overall beauty, Colmar is one of the most enchanting cities in the region and serves as the starting point of the Alsace Wine Route. The canals that enhance Colmar's charm are tributaries of the Rhine River. Lining the riverbanks, the vibrant historic buildings date back to the 12th century and represent the city's most distinctive and remarkable feature.
