PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENT

VISA

Ordinary Passport                      ✅                Visa required
Green Passport                          ❌              Visa not required
Service Passport                    ❌                Visa not required

Your passport must be valid for 6 months from the end date of the trip and must not be more than 10 years old.

For destinations requiring a visa, the visa application must be submitted with the documents specified in the “Documents Required for Visa” list that your agency will provide to you. To avoid problems with customs police at the border of the country to be visited due to torn, worn, wet and/or similarly damaged passports, such passports must be renewed, and if the country applies visas to citizens of the Republic of Türkiye, the relevant visa must be in the new passport. Otherwise, responsibility belongs to the passenger. Since guests under the age of 18 travelling alone or with only one of their parents may be asked by police officers at entry and exit points to provide a document showing the joint consent of both parents, we recommend that our guests under 18 and their parents pay particular attention to this matter.

*Having a valid passport and/or having obtained a visa (for a visa-required destination/passport) does not mean that entry to the country is guaranteed. Passport control officers have the authority to refuse you entry to the country. Our agency is not responsible for this situation; responsibility belongs to the passenger.

*As of April 10, 2026, under the European Entry/Exit System (EES), which came into effect in European Union countries, passport control procedures at border crossings are carried out by collecting biometric data (fingerprints and facial recognition).

Due to this practice, situations such as congestion, long waiting times, system delays or failure to read biometric data may occur at airports and border gates.

These processes are entirely under the control of the relevant country's border security authorities, and our agency has no authority to intervene. Therefore, our agency cannot be held responsible for delays, waiting times or related disruptions to the program that may occur.

Guests are strongly advised to ensure that their passports are physically suitable, that there are no conditions that could prevent biometric data collection (cuts, wounds, excessive cream, etc.), and that they allow sufficient time for border procedures. “This practice is an international security procedure, and all guests purchasing the tour are deemed to have accepted this process.”

CURRENCY
The currency used in European countries is the Euro. It is recommended that you carry small amounts of Euros with you.

TIME ZONE
Italy is 1 hour behind Türkiye during the summer time zone. For example, when it is 18:30 in Türkiye, it is 17:30 in Italy.

ELECTRICAL OUTLETS
The electrical outlets used in Italy are generally compatible with those in Türkiye. However, since different types of outlets may be encountered in some older facilities, it is recommended that you carry a plug converter (adapter) so that you can use your electronic devices without problems.

Tour Program
Izmir – Rome
Around noon, we meet you, our valued guests, at the International Terminal of İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport. After completing our baggage, passport, and check-in procedures, we take our seats on the SunExpress flight to Rome, the capital of Italy and the cradle of history. Upon our arrival in Rome after a pleasant flight, we take our places in the vehicle waiting for us and enjoy an orientation tour of the region accompanied by our guide’s commentary. Following free time for dinner, we check in to our hotel. Overnight stay at our hotel in Rome.
Rome – Barletta – Bari
After breakfast at our hotel, we travel toward a city shaped by the cultural richness of the Adriatic coast, passing along the slopes of Mount Vesuvius and admiring the beautiful towns and villages whose structures are nestled in nature and add color to this southern region of Italy. Our first stop in Barletta, a city that captivates with its natural scenery and history, will be the Porto di Barletta (Port of Barletta). Situated on the Adriatic Sea, it has served as a center of trade, transportation, and military defense since the Middle Ages. Beginning here, our walking tour will continue with the Palazzo Della Marra, whose Baroque architecture will attract our attention and which houses works by Giuseppe De Nittis; the Disfida di Barletta Memorial House (Cantina della Disfida), a museum commemorating the famous 1503 battle between Italian and French knights, displaying knights’ armor, documents, and weapons; Barletta Castle (Castello Svevo di Barletta), built by the Normans in the 10th century and later expanded during the reign of Frederick II, featuring documents related to the Fifth Crusade and ancient maps; the Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre (Basilica del Santo Sepolcro), one of the city’s most important landmarks, standing approximately 4.5 meters high and serving as an important stopping point for pilgrims traveling to Jerusalem during the Crusades; and the Colossus of Barletta (Colosso di Barletta), believed to depict the Byzantine Emperor Theodosius I and regarded as one of the largest ancient bronze statues in Europe, positioned as if welcoming you. We conclude our visit with guided explanations and then have free time to sample the city’s specialties and purchase souvenirs. After regrouping, we travel approximately 45 minutes to Bari, where we will stay. Following an orientation briefing and tour of the city, known for its narrow streets, historic buildings, and rich cultural heritage, we check in to our hotel.
Bari – Polignano a Mare – Alberobello – Lecce – Taranto
After enjoying a delicious breakfast at our hotel, we head to the town of Polignano a Mare, famous for its historic buildings intertwined with the sea, whitewashed houses, and magnificent views. During our time in this seaside town, which is located very close by, we can begin in the Old Town and see the Chiesa Matrice, built in a combination of Gothic and Romanesque styles, as well as the square featuring a statue of the famous singer and songwriter Domenico Modugno. We can also purchase souvenirs from its charming little shops or spend time in its cafés. After enjoying our time here, we continue to the town of Alberobello, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its unique trulli houses. Alberobello resembles an open-air museum, as it is home to the world’s highest concentration of traditional Apulian houses with round stone roofs. In this town, which showcases a distinctive traditional way of life, the places we will see include the Basilica dei Santi Cosma e Damiano, an example of Baroque architecture; the Alberobello Gardens, offering views of the town’s natural beauty and scenery; and authentic handmade souvenir shops housed inside the trulli. Our next stop after Alberobello will be Lecce, one of the most important cities in Puglia. Famous for its Baroque architecture, Lecce is one of the region’s most significant cultural and artistic centers and is also known as the “Florence of the South.” We begin our tour by spending time amid the city’s fascinating historic buildings, beautiful squares, and lively atmosphere. Our tour starts at Piazza del Duomo, located in the heart of the city and home to one of Italy’s most beautiful squares. Surrounded by Baroque architecture, the square features Lecce Cathedral (Cattedrale di Lecce), the Campanile (Bell Tower), and the Episcopal Palace. After seeing the Basilica di Santa Croce, distinguished by its richly decorated stonework, the Roman Amphitheater built in the 2nd century AD, Castello Carlo V (Charles V Castle), and the Roman Theater, and listening to our guide’s explanations, we will have free time. You should definitely try local specialties such as orecchiette, focaccia, and pasticciotto. At the meeting time arranged with our guide, we come together again and depart for Taranto, a city situated on the Ionian Sea and known for its remains from the Greek, Roman, and medieval periods. Upon arrival, we will see the Aragonese Castle, one of Taranto’s landmarks. Located quite close to the city center, this 15th-century castle is one of the most important structures dating from the period of the Aragonese Kingdom and occupies a strategically important defensive position due to its location by the sea. We also see San Cataldo Cathedral, one of the city’s most important religious buildings, and the Temple of Poseidon, one of Taranto’s significant ancient Greek temples, built in the 6th century BC and dedicated to the god of the sea, Poseidon, before taking a walking tour. We will have free time in the old town, where we can enjoy magnificent sea views and which is connected to the city on both sides by historic bridges: the San Francesco di Paola Bridge and the Ponte di Pietra Bridge. In this old city center, Città Vecchia, a popular destination for seafood enthusiasts, you can sample a variety of delicious Italian dishes. After spending enjoyable time here, we settle into our hotel.
Taranto – Matera – Potenza – Battipaglia
After breakfast at our hotel in Taranto, we travel to Matera, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the world-famous ancient settlement of Sassi di Matera, whose history dates back to the prehistoric period. This unique city attracts attention with its stone structures and houses carved into the rocks and is often compared to Mardin, one of the rare cities in our country. Upon arrival, we begin exploring the old settlement, adorned with cave dwellings, churches, monasteries, and stone streets. We visit the Cathedral dedicated to San Giovanni Battista, one of the most important religious structures built in the Apulian style and situated on a hill overlooking the city center, dating back to the 11th century, as well as the Palombaro Lungo underground city, which forms part of the city’s underground system and played a role in storing the water that supplied the historic city. After our visit to this site, described as a masterpiece of ancient hydraulic engineering, with a capacity of 5 million liters of water and a depth of 16 meters, we complete our photography break and depart from Matera, which has hosted the filming of many famous movies. We then travel to the city of Potenza, located at the foot of the Apennine Mountains and known for its traditional Italian atmosphere, with historical roots dating back to Ancient Rome. Upon arriving in the city center, our first stop is San Gerardo Cathedral, which combines Romanesque and Gothic styles. After listening to our guide’s explanations here, we proceed to Piazza Mario Pegano, home to the city’s historic buildings, where we have free time for lunch. After regrouping, we continue to Battipaglia, located in the Campania region of Italy, southeast of Salerno, and regarded as the starting point of the Amalfi Coast. Battipaglia is also one of the major production centers of Mozzarella di Bufala, a world-famous product of Southern Italy made from buffalo milk. Mozzarella di Bufala is one of Italy’s most famous fresh cheeses. Renowned for its soft, white appearance, mildly milky flavor, and elastic texture, we receive information about the production of this cheese and the history of the town before settling into our rooms at our hotel, famous for its 12,000-square-meter lush private garden, elegant architecture, restaurant, and leisure areas.
Battipaglia – Sorrento – Positano – Amalfi – Pompeii
After having breakfast at our hotel, we set off for Sorrento, a city that offers the typical atmosphere of a Mediterranean town with its narrow streets, beautiful squares, and historic buildings, and whose enchanting ambiance is sure to impress us. Beginning at Piazza Tasso, considered the heart of the town, we explore its historic streets, shops, and old buildings. After completing our visit to Sorrento, we take our seats in the vehicles waiting for us there to tour the Amalfi Coast, an essential part of southern Italy, and begin our pleasant journey toward our first stop, Positano. Built on rocky cliffs, Positano is an impressive town with spectacular sea views and beautiful, colorful houses nestled along steep slopes. With a history dating back to ancient Roman times, the town attracted the attention of writers, artists, and filmmakers in the 1950s, gradually gaining popularity and eventually becoming renowned as a luxury holiday resort. Among the places we will see are the 12th-century Church of Santa Maria Assunta, located in the heart of the village, and Le Sirenuse, the village’s most luxurious hotel, which has hosted numerous celebrities and whose restaurant and terrace offer wonderful views for photographs. Following these beautiful experiences, you can stroll through Positano’s narrow streets, passing between colorful houses and walls adorned with flowers. You can also visit shops selling handmade jewelry, clothing, and works of art created by local artisans. At the end of our impressive visit, we follow the winding roads and, accompanied by breathtaking views, arrive at another corner of paradise: the town that gives the Amalfi Coast its name. Built on steep cliffs, this historic town played an important role as a major maritime republic during the Middle Ages and is now listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Between the 9th and 11th centuries, the town was a major naval power known as the Republic of Amalfi and held an important position in Mediterranean trade, alongside other Italian maritime cities such as Venice, Pisa, and Genoa. However, a major tsunami in 1343, followed by natural disasters, caused Amalfi to lose its power. Over the years, it has survived to the present day thanks to its magnificent location, scenery, and stunning coastline. Today, Amalfi is considered one of Italy’s most beautiful coastal towns. The places we will have the opportunity to see include the Arsenale della Repubblica (the Old Arsenal Museum), Amalfi Harbor, and Amalfi Cathedral (Duomo di Amalfi), which also houses the monastery of the town’s patron saint, Saint Andrew. After spending free time in this beautiful town, where we can take wonderful and unforgettable photographs, we travel in our private vehicles, which have taken us around Positano and Amalfi, first to Sorrento and then to our hotel, attractively located at the foot of Mount Vesuvius near the ancient city of Pompeii, where we settle into our rooms.
Pompeii – Sorrento – Capri Island (Optional) – Naples
After having breakfast at our hotel, we set off for the Ancient City of Pompeii. As we travel south through Italy, accompanied by beautiful scenery, we gradually move away from the hustle and bustle of the city and arrive at the ancient city at the end of a pleasant journey where we can relax and unwind, then begin our tour. We visit this ancient city, which was buried and destroyed under volcanic ash and cinders as a result of the two-day eruption of Mount Vesuvius on August 24, 79 AD, accidentally rediscovered in 1599, and largely unearthed through excavations, and which has been included on the UNESCO World Heritage List. In addition to structures such as the Odeon, the Grand Theatre, the Lupanare (brothel), and the Forum, we see the city’s main avenues, its advanced water-distribution systems, and petrified human figures that remained buried under lava for centuries, bearing witness to the city’s level of development. After our visit to Pompeii, we go to Sorrento Port and have free time. Those who wish may join us on an optional, enjoyable sea journey to the Pearl of the Mediterranean, the Island of Capri, aboard the fast ferry waiting for us at the port. Upon arriving in Capri, we travel to the Anacapri area by vehicles waiting for us to explore the island’s enchanting views. The island is also known for Roman Emperor Tiberius leaving Rome and settling in Capri between AD 27 and 37, using it as his personal retreat. The palace known as Villa Jovis remains one of the island’s most important historical sites. Built on a high slope, this area offers a captivating atmosphere with its magnificent panoramic views and natural beauty. With its lively beaches, historical buildings, and natural wonders, Capri is a unique destination that attracts not only travelers but also the jet set. Among the important sites we will visit on the island are the Gardens of Augustus, Marina Piccola, Villa San Michele, and Punta Tragara Hotel. We then ascend to Monte Solaro, the highest point on the island at 589 meters, with an approximately 12-minute chairlift ride. After enjoying Capri’s breathtaking views, we have free time. We can sample the island’s delicacies and spend time at leisure. Surrounded by luxurious Italian cafés and restaurants gathered around an old clock tower, this square is an ideal place to experience Capri’s lively and elegant atmosphere. After our free time, we return to the port and take the fast ferry that brought us back to Sorrento. We board our vehicle waiting for us at the port and head to the city center to take a panoramic tour of Naples. During our tour of this most characteristic city of southern Italy, we see some of its most important landmarks, including Castel Nuovo (the New Castle), the San Carlo Theatre, the Galleria Umberto, the Royal Palace of Naples, the Basilica of San Francesco, and Piazza del Plebiscito. We then complete our tour and proceed to our hotel in the Nola area.
Naples – Nemi Town – Castel Gandolfo – Rome
After breakfast at the hotel, we set off for another enjoyable excursion. We are heading to the shores of Lake Nemi, a small yet remarkably beautiful volcanic lake located in the Castel Romano area. During our stop in this charming town, known for its delicious little wild strawberries and festivals, guests may taste the local tarts if they wish. With its medieval houses and balconies adorned with flowers, Nemi reflects the warm atmosphere of a classic Italian town. The Temple of Diana, the goddess of hunting, and the 16th-century Ruspoli Palace will shed light on the town’s history. Following our pleasant visit here, we continue to the town of Castel Gandolfo, home to the summer residence of the Pope, the leader of the Catholic Church. This palace, where the Popes spent their summers for centuries, was built in the 17th century by Pope Urban VIII. Now open to the public by the Vatican and visitable as a museum, the palace contains the Pope’s rooms, historic furniture, and some of the Vatican’s collections. The Church of San Tommaso da Villanova, designed by the renowned architect Gian Lorenzo Bernini; the Barberini Gardens, which stand out with their magnificent landscaping, ancient Roman ruins, and peaceful atmosphere; and Lake Albano, a volcanic crater lake, are among the places we will see. After completing our tour, we head to the nearby McArthurGlen Outlet, where we can enjoy dining, shopping, and browsing discounted outlet stores. At the end of our free time here, we complete our orientation tour of Rome and check in to our hotel.
Rome – Vatican – Izmir
After having breakfast at our hotel, we depart for Vatican City, one of the world’s smallest independent states, covering an area of 44 hectares. At the spiritual center of the Catholic Church, we listen to our guide’s explanations and, for those who wish, visit St. Peter’s Basilica. Following our visit to the Vatican, we head to the Colosseum, one of the symbolic landmarks of Rome, one of the oldest cities in the world. In addition to gladiatorial combats, the Colosseum once hosted numerous public spectacles, mock naval battles, animal hunts, executions, reenactments of famous battles, and dramas based on classical mythology. After viewing this most famous arena of antiquity and passing by the Roman Palace, we arrive at Palazzo di Venezia along our route. Following a short photo stop, we proceed to the Pantheon, another iconic landmark of the city. Originally built as a temple to all the gods of Ancient Rome and used as a church from the 7th century onward, the Pantheon houses the tombs of important figures in Italian history, including Victor Emmanuel II. After our visit, we see Piazza Navona, which contains the remains of the ancient Stadium of Domitian and is famous for the Fountain of the Four Rivers (Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi) at its center, before continuing to the Trevi Fountain, one of the world’s most famous fountains, also known as the Fountain of Love. Following our lunch break here, we meet again and walk toward the Spanish Steps, which have existed since the 17th century and take their name from the Spanish Embassy. We then have free time in the area, where you can find shops selling famous brands and numerous cafés. At the end of our Rome tour, we transfer to Rome Airport for our return flight to Izmir. After completing our baggage, passport, and check-in procedures, we board the SunExpress flight to Izmir. Upon arrival at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport, we say goodbye, hoping to meet again on another tour program.
