Great Italy Tour 2027 Summer TK (LJU-NAP)

DAY 1                 ISTANBUL – LJUBLJANA – VENICE

We meet our valued guests in front of the Turkish Airlines Foreign Departures Terminal at Istanbul Airport. After baggage and ticket procedures, we fly with the scheduled Turkish Airlines flight. Following our arrival, we depart for a panoramic city tour of Ljubljana with our private bus waiting for us at the airport. Among the places we will see during our city tour are the Ljubljana River, the Parliament building, the University of Ljubljana, Prešeren Square, and St. Nicholas Cathedral. After our tour, we proceed to the city of Venice. Upon our arrival, we begin a panoramic city tour of Venice. Among the places to be seen during our city tour are the famous St. Mark’s Square and Basilica, the Bridge of Sighs where prisoners looked at Venice one last time before entering the prison, the Grand Canal and the Rialto Bridge over it, the Doge’s Palace, the Campanile (Clock Tower), and the Church of San Giorgio Maggiore. After our city tour, guests who wish may join the Gondola Tour, the symbol of Venice, organized by our guide as an optional activity (40€ per person). Transfer to the hotel after the tour. Overnight at our hotel.

DAY 2                 VENICE – MILAN

After breakfast, we proceed to the city of Milan. Guests who wish may join the Verona & Lake Garda Tour (55€ per person) organized by our guide as an extra along the route. Among the places to be seen on our tour are the house of Romeo & Juliet, the subject of history’s greatest love story, the Verona Arena, the Scaligero Bridge with its unique architecture, and the Verona Cathedral. After our Verona tour, we will visit Lake Garda, one of the most beautiful lakes in Northern Italy. Then, our journey to Milan continues from where it left off. Upon our arrival, we begin our panoramic city tour of Milan. Among the places to be seen on our tour is the Milan Duomo, Italy’s second-largest church which took approximately 500 years to complete, the Fortezza castle, and the Vittorio Emmanuele Gallery, home to the world’s most famous fashion stores. Transfer to the hotel after the tour. Overnight at our hotel.

DAY 3                 MILAN – FLORENCE

After breakfast, we proceed to the city of Florence. Guests who wish may join the Bologna Tour (35€ per person) organized by our guide as an extra along the route. Among the places to be seen on our Bologna city tour are Piazza Maggiore (the central square considered the heart of Bologna), Neptune’s Fountain located just behind the square, the Old Stock Exchange Building, Europe’s first university building, Quadrilatero (the old market), and the Garisenda and Asinelli towers, which have become symbols of Bologna. After our tour, our journey to Florence continues from where it left off. Upon arrival, we begin a panoramic city tour of Florence. Among the places to be seen on our tour are the Arno River dividing Florence, the Ponte Vecchio bridge famous for its jewelers, Palazzo Vecchio where the Medici family ruled Florence, Piazza Della Signoria housing the masterpieces of the Renaissance including the statues of Hercules and David, Santa Maria del Fiore Duomo with Italy’s third-highest dome, and the Baptistry famous for its doors. Transfer to our hotel in Montecatini at the end of the tour. Overnight at our hotel.

DAY 4                 FLORENCE

Free time after having breakfast at the hotel. Guests who wish may join the Pisa & Portofino Tour (120€ per person) organized by our guide as an extra. After visiting the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Miracoli Square, we will go by boat to the world-famous town of Portofino, the subject of many songs. You will not be able to get enough of this small village located within a national park. Transfer to the hotel after the tour. Overnight at our hotel.

DAY 5                 FLORENCE – ROME

After breakfast at the hotel, we proceed to Rome. Guests who wish may join the Orvieto Tour (35€ per person) organized by our guide as an extra along the route. After visiting the ancient city center and the Orvieto Duomo in Orvieto, which holds an important place in Italian art and general history and possesses extraordinary natural beauty, we continue our journey to Rome. Upon our arrival, we conduct a panoramic city tour of Rome. Among the places to be seen on our city tour are Castel Sant’Angelo where Cem Sultan was imprisoned, Piazza Venezia where Mussolini addressed the people and the monument to Victor Emmanuel II, the Colosseum which hosted gladiator fights, the Trevi Fountain made famous by the film La Dolce Vita, the Spanish Steps consisting of 135 steps, and the Spanish Steps featuring a sunken ship fountain. Transfer to the hotel after the tour. Overnight at our hotel.

DAY 6                 ROME

Free time after having breakfast at the hotel. Guests who wish may join the Outlet & Lakes Region & Vatican Tour (80€ per person) organized by our guide as an extra. After visiting Nemi village, famous for mountain strawberries, a region with natural beauty where popes lived during summer and where you will want to live permanently, we head to the Castel Romano Outlet area, Italy’s most famous shopping district, for free time for shopping. Then, we proceed to St. Peter’s Square, considered the center of Christianity. After our arrival, we have free time for a visit to the Basilica and the Square. Guests who wish may join the Roma by Night Tour (35€ per person) organized by our guide as an extra. Overnight at our hotel.

*The extra tours offered today are combined operations. If taken separately, transportation to/from the start/end points of the tours will be done individually.  

DAY 7                 ROME – NAPLES

After breakfast, we proceed to Naples. Upon our arrival, we begin a panoramic city tour of Naples. Among the places to be seen on our city tour are Piazza del Plebiscito, the central square of Naples; the Royal Palace built in the 17th century; Castel Nuovo (New Castle); the Basilica of San Francesco di Paola, inspired by St. Peter’s Square and the Pantheon in Rome; Galleria Umberto I, where shops are located; the San Carlo Theatre, built in 1737 and listed on the UNESCO World Heritage list; and the Port of Naples. After our panoramic city tour, guests who wish may join the Pompeii Ancient City Tour (65€ per person) organized by our guide as an extra. The city of Pompeii remained buried under 7 meters of soil for 18 centuries following the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. After excavations conducted from that date, we will have the opportunity to see the houses, palaces, and petrified humans that emerged. Transfer to our hotel after the tour. Overnight at our hotel.

DAY 8                 NAPLES – ISTANBUL

After breakfast, we check out of the hotel early in the morning and transfer to Naples Airport. After completing baggage and check-in procedures, we depart for Istanbul with the scheduled Turkish Airlines flight. With our arrival, our tour and services come to an end.
