CURRENCY

The European currency is Euro (EUR). It is advisable to carry Euro (EUR) with you.

TIME ZONE

Germany, Luxembourg, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands are 1 hour behind Turkey during summer time and 2 hours behind during winter time.

For example, when it is 18:30 in Turkey during summer, it is 17:30 in the relevant countries.

CLOTHING AND ESSENTIAL ITEMS

If traveling in summer, we recommend bringing easily wearable t-shirts, short and long-sleeved shirts, cotton trousers, shorts, comfortable walking shoes, a light jacket, and a thin sweater for evenings. Additionally, you may bring hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, earplugs against possible noise, cameras, video cameras, and their chargers and spare memory cards. During the winter season, we recommend clothing that allows comfortable movement and keeps you warm.

FOOD CULTURE

When German cuisine is mentioned, cakes, potatoes, and of course beer come to mind first. This culture offers a wide variety of meats and vegetables, and there is also a very diverse selection of beers and wines.

French cuisine, rooted in the Middle Ages, has a rich culture. Famous for its wines and various cheeses, French cuisine is known for meat dishes cooked with different sauces and famous desserts such as crème brûlée, macarons, and soufflés.

Belgian cuisine combines the traditions of German and French cuisines.

Dutch cuisine is not very rich, but its cheeses are worth trying. Other flavors are generally fast-food style.

The colorful, single-story houses resembling cakes, churches, statues, and cobblestone medieval streets in the main square will transport us into a fairytale. Following our Bruges tour, we head toward Brussels. Upon arrival, we enjoy a panoramic city tour. As the capital of Belgium, Brussels is also home to numerous institutions related to the European Union and NATO.
