After breakfast at our hotel in Sabah, we depart for a Halong Bay tour, one of the world’s most enchanting natural wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spanning approximately 1,500 km² and made up of 1,969 limestone islets, this unique bay invites its guests into a true natural marvel with its mesmerizing scenery. During our day cruise, as we sail among the limestone cliffs famous for their fairy-tale appearance, we have the chance to see some of Halong Bay’s most well-known spots, including Dinh Huong Island, Ga Choi (Kissing Chickens) Island, and the impressive Thien Cung (Heavenly Palace) Cave. At the lunch served exclusively on our boat, we enjoy the flavors of Vietnamese cuisine, especially fresh seafood. At the end of the day, we complete our tour and transfer by private vehicle to our hotel in Hanoi. Overnight in our hotel in Hanoi.
Hanoi
After our breakfast at the hotel, we begin our panoramic city tour to get to know Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. Our first stop will be the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, built for Vietnam’s legendary leader who died in 1969 and is a symbol of the country’s struggle for independence. Next, we will take a photo break by viewing the Presidential Palace from the outside, with its architecture dating back to the French colonial period. Our next stop is the Temple of Literature, founded in 1070, which holds the distinction of being Vietnam’s first university and is also a symbol of wisdom and Confucian culture. Here, we will have the opportunity to closely examine the stone steles mounted on stone turtles and the traditional architecture. We then visit the One Pillar Pagoda, one of Hanoi’s most unique temples, resembling a lotus flower, and built in the 11th century by Emperor Ly Thai Tong. After completing our tour, we will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant serving regional specialties and then transfer to the hotel. For guests who wish to make the most of the evening, we can recommend the “Dinner with Water Puppet Theater and Night Tour” offered in the city. The Water Puppet Theater, one of Hanoi’s cultural heritages protected by UNESCO, is a traditional art form that has been performed for centuries in the Red River Delta and offers a unique show featuring puppets on water. You can also enjoy your dinner while watching this delightful performance.
Istanbul - Siem Reap
After breakfast, our guests will have free time to enjoy their final hours in Hanoi. At the designated time set by our guide, we will transfer to Hanoi International Airport by private vehicle and take our local airline flight to Siem Reap. After an approximately 1 hour and 45 minute flight, we arrive in Siem Reap, the Cambodian city famous for the Angkor temples. Upon arrival, we transfer to our hotel, check into our rooms, and have the opportunity to rest and recover from the fatigue of the day. Overnight in our hotel in Siem Reap.
Siem Reap
After breakfast at the hotel, we begin our Tonle Sap Lake boat tour, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. This lake, whose surface area can vary from 2,500 km² to 16,000 km² with the monsoon rains, is one of the most important ecosystems not only in Cambodia but in the entire region. Thanks to its connection with the Mekong River, Tonle Sap is one of the rare rivers in the world whose direction changes. During our boat tour, we closely observe the settlements built on the lake. Tens of thousands of families living around the lake have made their livelihoods from fishing and aquaculture trade for centuries. The traditional houses built on stilts in the region are elevated on high supports to adapt to seasonal water levels. In addition, there are floating houses, primary schools, small shops, and even floating clinics on the lake. Tonle Sap accounts for approximately 75% of Cambodia’s freshwater fish production on its own and holds the distinction of being the country’s largest food source. Throughout our boat tour, we have the opportunity to observe this unique way of life in an orderly manner. At the end of the tour, we transfer to our hotel. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Siem Reap - Saigon
After breakfast, we begin our tour of Angkor Thom, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was the capital of the Khmer Empire in the 12th century. Our first stop is the South Gate, one of the most magnificent entrances to the city, which is surrounded by 3.5-kilometer-long walls. Here, stone statues lining the gate depict the mythical Churning of the Ocean of Milk scene. Next, we visit Baphuon Temple, built in the 11th century and one of the important examples of temple-mountain architecture. We then continue to Bayon Temple, located at the heart of Angkor Thom, famous for its more than 200 faces carved onto 54 towers. Our program continues with Ta Prohm Temple. Built in the 12th century, this temple stands out with the sight of enormous tropical tree roots merging with its stone walls, and it has been preserved in its unrestored state. During our visit, we also see the Leper King Terrace, where royal ceremonies were held, and the Terrace of the Elephants, which hosted official processions with elephants. We have lunch at a local restaurant serving regional delicacies. In the afternoon, we visit Angkor Wat, considered the largest religious structure in human history. Built in the 12th century by King Suryavarman II, this vast complex covers an area of 162 hectares and is regarded as the pinnacle of Khmer architecture. The reliefs here and the detailed carvings in the galleries depict scenes from Hindu mythology. After our tour, we transfer to Siem Reap Airport to take our local airline flight to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City). Upon arrival, we transfer to the hotel and stay overnight at our hotel in Saigon.
goodbye

After breakfast, we begin our panoramic city tour in Ho Chi Minh City, the largest city in Vietnam (formerly known as Saigon). Our first stop is the War Museum, which reflects the traces of the Vietnam War and presents the events that took place during the war through photographs, documents, and artifacts. Next, we visit the Opera House and the Historic Post Office, both notable for their architecture from the French colonial period. During our city tour, we also see Notre-Dame Cathedral, built between 1877 and 1880 and distinguished by its red bricks. The final stop on our program is Ben Thanh Market, one of the city’s busiest shopping spots. After lunch, we join a Cu Chi Tunnels tour located about 70 kilometers outside the city. One of the most dramatic events in recent history, the Vietnam–U.S. War, saw a tunnel system built by North Vietnam that stretches over 250 kilometers and became an underground city throughout the war. Here, we closely observe the trenches, camps, traps, living quarters, and underground passages from that period. After the tour, we transfer by private vehicle to Saigon Airport and complete our procedures for our Istanbul flight.
