You are required to have a passport valid for 6 months from the end date of travel and not older than 10 years.

For destinations requiring a visa, the visa application must be made with the documents specified in the “Documents Required for Visa” list that your agency will send to you for the visa application.

In order to avoid problems with customs police at the border of the country to be visited due to torn, worn, wet and/or similarly damaged passports; such passports must be renewed, and if the country applies a visa to T.C. citizens, the relevant visa must be in the new passport. Otherwise, responsibility belongs to the passenger.

Since our guests under 18 traveling alone or with only one of their mother or father may be asked by the police officer on duty at the country’s entry/exit points to present a document showing the mutual consent of the parents, we advise our guests under 18 and their parents to be sensitive about this matter.

HEALTH

There is no vaccination requirement upon entry to Portugal. We do not expect any health-threatening issue with meals taken at good restaurants and hotels in the region. However, when you are not with the group, we recommend that you be careful about food and drink; that you definitely consume bottled water, avoid ice, milk and dairy products, eat meat and fish products that you are sure are well cooked, and for fruit, choose fruits that can be peeled such as bananas and pineapples.

Optional tours and activities are organized by the local agency we work with, with a minimum participation requirement of 20 people, and participation is not mandatory. If sufficient numbers are not reached, excursions cannot be carried out, or optional tour/activity prices, content, and the vehicle used may vary depending on the number of participants. In addition, the days and times of optional tours/activities may be changed by the guide according to the opening/closing status of museums, archaeological sites, or venues in the places to be visited, as well as weather conditions.

ACCOMMODATION

During fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., hotels may be used at distances greater than the specified kilometers.

Triple rooms may be provided depending on hotel availability, and the bed offered to the 3rd person in such rooms may be smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed and 1 extra bed. Since extra beds are foldable or called “coach beds”; participants are deemed to have declared that they accept the possible congestion in the rooms and the bed type in 3rd person and/or child reservations.

Child discounts are valid for only one (1) child staying with 2 adults and matching the age group specified in the pricing section.

Spain and Portugal are 3 hours behind Turkey in daylight saving time and 2 hours behind in winter time.

CLOTHING AND ESSENTIAL ITEMS

If traveling in the summer season; we recommend that you bring T-shirts, short- and long-sleeved shirts that can be easily put on and taken off, cotton trousers, shorts, comfortable walking shoes, a light jacket for the evenings, and a thin sweater.

In addition; you may also bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, earplugs for possible noise, a camera, a video camera, and their chargers and spare memory cards. In winter, we recommend clothes that allow you to move comfortably and keep you warm.

Tour Program
Istanbul - Porto
After meeting our guide at Istanbul Airport International Terminal, we complete our baggage drop and ticketing procedures at the Turkish Airlines counter. Following these procedures, we depart for Porto on Turkish Airlines’ scheduled flight. Upon arrival, we will take a panoramic city tour of Porto, where places we will see include Porto Cathedral, Historic Wine Cellars, Liberdade Square, Batalha Square, Clérigos Tower, the Ribeira District, Arrábida Bridge, Boa Vista, Dom Luís I Bridge, São Francisco Church, the Stock Exchange Palace, and São Bento Train Station. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel and check into our rooms. Afterwards, there will be free time to relax or explore the surroundings. Overnight at the hotel.
Porto
After breakfast at our hotel, we depart for the Guimarães & Braga & Bom Jesus do Monte excursion, which takes us to the north of Portugal and stands out for its historical character. Our first stop is Guimarães, known as the “birthplace of Portugal.” In this historic city, known as the birthplace of the country’s first king, Afonso Henriques, we walk through medieval cobblestone streets and visit Guimarães Castle and the Palace of the Dukes of Braganza. We then turn our route toward Braga, one of the country’s most important religious centers. In this city, which stands out with its rich religious heritage and magnificent structures, we have the opportunity to see Braga Cathedral (Sé de Braga), the oldest cathedral in Portugal. After spending the day exploring these special cities where history, culture, and architecture intertwine, we return to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
Porto – Lisbon
After breakfast at our hotel, we set off for Lisbon. Then we will take the Aveiro & Óbidos & Nazaré & Batalha & Fátima tour, covering some of Portugal’s most impressive historical and cultural sites. Our first stop is Aveiro, known as the “Venice of Portugal” for its canals, colorful gondolas (moliceiro), and Art Nouveau architecture. Next, we head to the town of Óbidos, which with its stone streets, walled structure, and white houses decorated with flowers, resembles a medieval fairy tale. In this city, which was given by the king as a wedding gift to his queen, you will also have the opportunity to taste the traditional cherry liqueur “Ginja.” We then turn our route to Nazaré, a traditional fishing village on the Atlantic coast; it is famous for its giant waves, endless ocean views, and cultural character. After that, we will visit Batalha Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the masterpieces of Gothic architecture, notable for its fascinating stone craftsmanship. The final stop of the day is Fátima, a sacred city visited by millions of pilgrims each year, famous for the belief that the Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherd children in 1917 and for the miracle known as the “Three Secrets of Fátima.” After our tour, we continue our journey to Lisbon. Upon arrival, transfer to our hotel and free time. Overnight in our Lisbon hotel.
Lisbon
After breakfast at our hotel, we set off for free time. Then we head out for the Sintra, Cascais, Estoril, and Cabo da Roca Tour, offering unique views immersed in nature and history. Our first stop is the fairytale town of Sintra, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List and once hosted the summer palaces of the Portuguese royal family. We take a pleasant walk in Sintra, with its colorful palaces, lush green hills, and enchanting historical atmosphere. Next, we arrive at Cabo da Roca, known as the westernmost point of mainland Europe and described as “where the land ends and the sea begins.” Here, we take a photo break with a breathtaking view overlooking the vast Atlantic Ocean. Afterwards, we visit the charming coastal town of Cascais, located on the Atlantic coast and famous for its elegant streets and lively waterfront. In this lovely seaside town with fishing roots, we will have free time to enjoy the sea breeze. Finally, we pass through Estoril, long known as a favorite holiday resort of aristocrats and the wealthy, famous for its casinos and luxurious buildings, and complete our tour. Afterward, we will take a panoramic city tour of Lisbon. Places to be seen include Jerónimos Monastery, Belém Tower, the Monument to the Discoveries, Rossio and Praça do Comércio Squares, Avenida da Liberdade (Liberty Avenue), Marquês de Pombal Square, and São Jorge Castle on the hill above the city. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and free time. In the evening, for those who wish, our guide will optionally organize a Fado Night event (60 EUR). After breakfast at our hotel, we check out of our rooms, enjoy our free time until the time specified by our guide, and take in the city. Then we transfer to the airport. After baggage, ticket, and customs procedures, we board a Turkish Airlines scheduled flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival, our tour and services come to an end.
