PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENT

This trip is organized with a minimum participation requirement of 40 people. If sufficient participation is not achieved, the final cancellation notification date is 20 days before the tour start date. The tour canceled due to insufficient participation will be notified to you through your agency.

HEALTH

There is no vaccination requirement upon entry to Portugal. We do not expect any health-threatening issues with meals taken at good restaurants and hotels in the region. However, when you are not with the group, we recommend being careful with food and drinks, definitely consuming bottled water, avoiding ice, milk and dairy products, eating meat and fish products that you are sure are well cooked, and choosing fruits such as bananas and pineapples that can be peeled.

OPTIONAL TOURS & ACTIVITIES

Optional tours and activities are organized by the local agency we receive service from with a minimum participation requirement of 20 people, and participation is not mandatory. If sufficient numbers are not reached, the excursions may not take place, or the prices, content, and vehicle to be used for the optional tour/activity may vary depending on the number of participants. In addition, the days and times of optional tours/activities may be changed by the guide depending on the open/closed status of museums, ruins, or venues in the places to be visited, and on weather conditions.

ACCOMMODATION

During fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., hotels may be used farther than the specified km distances. 

Triple rooms may be provided depending on hotel availability, and the bed offered to the 3rd person in such rooms may be smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed and 1 extra bed. Since extra beds are folding beds or coach beds, participants booking as a 3rd person and/or child are deemed to have accepted the possible cramped conditions in the rooms and the type of bed. 

Child discounts apply only to one (1) child staying with 2 adults and matching the age group specified in the pricing section. 

The breakfasts included in the tour program are served at the hotel in line with the breakfast culture of the country you are in, usually with a limited menu called continental breakfast, consisting of butter, jam, bread, tea, or coffee, and may be served in a separate hall allocated to the group.

CURRENCY

The currency of Spain and Portugal is Euro (EUR). It is useful to have Euro (EUR) with you.

TIME ZONE

Spain and Portugal are 3 hours behind Turkey in daylight saving time and 2 hours behind in winter time.

For example, when it is 18:30 in Turkey in summer, it is 15:30 in Spain.

CLOTHING AND ESSENTIAL ITEMS

If you are traveling in the summer season, we recommend that you bring t-shirts, short- and long-sleeved shirts that can be easily put on and taken off, cotton trousers, shorts, comfortable walking shoes, a light jacket, and a thin sweater for the evenings.  In addition, you may also bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, earplugs against possible noise, a camera, a video camera, and their chargers and spare memory cards. In the winter period, we recommend clothes that allow you to move comfortably and keep you warm.

FOOD CULTURE

Spanish cuisine is derived from a complex history in which the invasions and conquests of Spain changed traditions and introduced new ingredients. Thus, Spain's current and old cuisine combines old and new traditions. Gazpacho soup, fajitas, and delicious tapas snacks are among the important flavors of the cuisine.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Having a valid passport and/or having obtained a visa (for destinations/passports requiring a visa) does not mean that entry into the country is guaranteed. The passport police have the authority to deny you entry into the country. The agency is not responsible for this situation; responsibility belongs to the passenger.  

The agency is an intermediary between the airline and the passenger and is subject to the Hague Protocol of 28.09.1955. There may be a risk of delays on scheduled and special flights, or the times before the current trip and flight may change. The agency is obliged to notify these changes as soon as possible. Our passengers have purchased the tour knowing and accepting that flight details may change. Children aged 0-2 do not pay airport tax and airport service fees. 

Panoramic city tours included in the tour package are tours organized for general introduction of the cities, lasting at most 2-3 hours, conducted panoramically with guide narration from inside the vehicle and not including entrance fees to museums or ruins. The agency is not responsible for the inability to carry out panoramic tours, including other tours specified in the program, if they cannot be done on the day and time of the tour because local authorities do not permit sightseeing, entry, or because of closed roads due to any event, or when weather conditions make the tour impossible. Some tours may be carried out by public transportation or on foot, where possible, at closed roads or points where vehicle entry is not permitted.

Tour Program
Istanbul - Porto
After meeting our guide at the International Terminal of Istanbul Airport, we complete our baggage drop-off and ticket procedures at the Turkish Airlines counter. Following the procedures, we depart for Porto on a scheduled Turkish Airlines flight. Upon arrival, we will take a panoramic city tour of Porto, where we will see places such as Porto Cathedral, the Historic Wine Cellars, Liberty Square, Batalha Square, Clérigos Tower, the Ribeira District, Arrábida Bridge, Boa Vista, Dom Luis I Bridge, St. Francis Church, the Stock Exchange Palace, and São Bento Train Station. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel and check into our rooms. Afterwards, free time to rest or explore the surroundings. Overnight at our hotel.
Porto
After breakfast at our hotel, we depart for the Guimarães & Braga & Bom Jesus do Monte Tour, in the north of Portugal, known for its historical charm. Our first stop is Guimarães, known as the “birthplace of Portugal.” In this historic city, recognized as the birthplace of the country’s first king, Afonso Henriques, we walk through medieval stone streets and visit Guimarães Castle and the Palace of the Dukes of Braganza. We then head to Braga, one of the country’s most important religious centers. In this city, which stands out with its rich religious heritage and magnificent buildings, we have the opportunity to see Braga Cathedral (Sé de Braga), the oldest cathedral in Portugal. After spending the day exploring these special cities where history, culture, and architecture intertwine, we return to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
Porto - Lisbon
After breakfast at our hotel, we depart for Lisbon. Upon arrival in the city, we check into our hotel and have some free time. Then we set out for the Sintra, Cascais, Estoril, and Cabo da Roca tour, where nature and history come together to offer unique scenery. Our first stop is the fairy-tale town of Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the summer palaces of the Portuguese royal family. In Sintra, with its colorful palaces, lush green hills, and rich historical atmosphere, we enjoy a pleasant walk. Next, we arrive at Cabo da Roca, known as the westernmost point of mainland Europe and described as "where the land ends and the sea begins." Here, we take a photo break while admiring the breathtaking view of the vast Atlantic Ocean. We then visit Cascais, a charming seaside town on the Atlantic coast, famous for its elegant streets and lively waterfront. In this lovely former fishing town, we have free time to enjoy the sea breeze. Finally, we complete our tour by passing through Estoril, long known as a favorite holiday resort of aristocrats and the wealthy, and famous for its casinos and luxury buildings. Afterward, we take our panoramic Lisbon city tour. Sights to be seen include Jerónimos Monastery, Belém Tower, the Monument to the Discoveries, Rossio and Praça do Comércio Squares, Avenida da Liberdade, Marquês de Pombal Square, and São Jorge Castle on the hill overlooking the city. After the tour, we return to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
Lisbon
After breakfast at our hotel, we will have some free time. Then we will take the Aveiro & Óbidos & Nazaré & Batalha & Fátima Tour, which covers Portugal’s most impressive historical and cultural highlights. Our first stop is Aveiro, known as the “Venice of Portugal” for its canals, colorful gondolas (moliceiro), and Art Nouveau architecture. Next, we head to Óbidos, a town that resembles a medieval fairy tale with its cobblestone streets, walled structure, and white houses decorated with flowers. In this city, which was given by the king to his queen as a wedding gift, you will also have the opportunity to taste the traditional cherry liqueur, “Ginja.” We then continue to Nazaré, a traditional fishing village on the Atlantic coast, famous for its giant waves, endless ocean views, and cultural character. After that, we visit Batalha Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the masterpieces of Gothic architecture, notable for its captivating stone craftsmanship. Our final stop of the day is Fátima, a sacred city visited by millions of pilgrims each year, renowned for the belief that the Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherd children in 1917 and for the miracle of the “Three Secrets of Fátima.” After this meaningful visit, we complete the day and, upon arriving at our Lisbon hotel, we rest. Overnight at our hotel.
Lisbon - Seville
After breakfast at our hotel, we set off for Seville. Upon arrival, during our panoramic city tour, we will see the magnificent Plaza de España, built for the 1929 Expo, the historic Golden Tower on the banks of the Guadalquivir River, the Maria Luisa Park, famous for its flower-lined walking paths and fountains, and the Convent of the Holy Ladies located inside the park. We then explore the Santa Cruz Quarter and its square, known for its narrow streets and Andalusian architecture. During the tour, we will also have the opportunity to view, from the outside, the Alcázar Palace, one of the finest examples of Arab architecture, and Seville Cathedral, the third largest cathedral in the world. At the end of the tour, we transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
Seville - Córdoba - Granada
After breakfast at our hotel, we depart for Córdoba. Upon arrival, we will take part in the Córdoba Old Town & Córdoba Mosque tour (entrance tickets included). In this UNESCO World Heritage city, we visit the Renaissance-era Palacio de Viana, the Jewish Quarter known for its narrow streets and traditional houses, and the Córdoba Mosque, considered one of the masterpieces of Western Islamic art, whose construction began in the 8th century (entrance included). After exploring this cultural and scientific center, where people of different faiths once lived together, we continue on to Granada. Upon arrival, we transfer to our hotel, distribute the rooms, and have free time to rest. Overnight at our hotel.
Granada
After breakfast at our hotel, we depart to visit the Alhambra Palace, one of the most important structures in Andalusia and a UNESCO World Heritage Site (entrance tickets included) (Due to ticket limitations, a ticket guarantee cannot be given for late registrations.) After this visit to the palace, which is one of the finest examples of Arab architecture and has a fairytale atmosphere with its courtyards, pools, and gardens, we begin our panoramic city tour of Granada. On our tour, we will see important sites that bear traces of both the Andalusian Umayyad and Christian periods, such as Gran Via, Bib-Rambla Square, the traditional Arab bazaars, and the Town Hall Square. At the end of the tour, transfer to our hotel and free time. Overnight at our hotel.
Granada - Malaga - Istanbul
After breakfast at our hotel, free time until the time specified by our guide. Then we transfer to the airport. After baggage, ticket, and customs procedures, we board our Turkish Airlines scheduled flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival, our tour and services come to an end.
