PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENT

This tour is organized with a minimum participation requirement of 20 people. If sufficient participation is not achieved, the final cancellation notice date is 20 days before the tour start date. The canceled tour due to insufficient participation will be notified to you through your agency.

HEALTH

There is no vaccination requirement upon entry to Cuba. We do not expect to encounter any issue that would threaten your health with the meals taken at good restaurants and hotels in the region. However, when you are not with the group, we recommend that you be careful about food and drink, definitely consume bottled water, avoid ice, milk and dairy products, eat meat and fish products that you are sure are well cooked, and for fruit, eat fruits with peel that can be removed, such as bananas and pineapples.

The Havana – Istanbul flight will have a stop in Caracas. The waiting time in Caracas is 1 hour and 35 minutes, and you will not disembark from the aircraft.

OPTIONAL TOURS & ACTIVITIES

Optional tours and activities are organized by the local agency from which we receive service, with a minimum participation requirement of 20 people, and participation is not mandatory. If the required number is not reached, the excursions cannot be carried out, or the prices, content, and vehicle used for optional tours/activities may vary according to the number of participants. In addition, the days and times of optional tours/activities may be changed by the guide according to the open/closed status of museums, archaeological sites or venues at the places to be visited, and weather conditions.

ACCOMMODATION

During periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., hotels may be used at a distance greater than the specified kilometers. 

Triple rooms may be provided depending on hotel availability, and the bed offered to the 3rd person in such rooms may be smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed and 1 extra bed. Since extra beds are folding or coach beds, participants are deemed to have declared that they accept the possible tightness in the rooms and the type of bed in 3rd-person and/or child reservations. 

Child discounts are valid for only one (1) child staying with 2 adults and matching the age group specified in the pricing section. 

Breakfasts taken at the hotel from the services included in the tour program are offered in accordance with the breakfast culture of the country visited and generally with a limited menu called continental breakfast, consisting of butter, jam, bread, tea or coffee, and may be served in a separate hall allocated to the group.

CURRENCY

The currency of Cuba is the Cuban Peso (CUC).  It is advisable to have Euro (EUR) and US Dollar (USD) with you.

TIME ZONE

There is a -7 hour difference between Cuba and Turkey.  When it is 12:00 in Turkey, it is 05:00 in Cuba.

CLOTHING AND REQUIRED ITEMS

We recommend that you bring T-shirts that can be put on and taken off easily, short- and long-sleeved shirts, cotton trousers, shorts, comfortable walking shoes, a light jacket and a light sweater for the evenings.  In addition; you may also bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, earplugs against possible noise, a camera, a video camera, and their chargers and spare memory cards. In the winter season, we recommend clothes that allow you to move comfortably and keep you warm.

FOOD CULTURE

Chicken, seafood and black beans are quite common in Cuba. Local spices are used in meals, but throughout the tour you will find that the meals we take suit your palate.

SHOPPING

You can buy cigars from Cuba. Apart from that, there are no shopping items other than souvenirs. HOW MANY CIGARS CAN I BRING FROM CUBA? You can buy two boxes of cigars from Cuba without an invoice. Quantities above this are confiscated at customs. With an invoice, you can purchase cigars worth up to 2,000 Euros.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Having a valid passport and/or having obtained a visa (for a destination/passport requiring a visa) does not mean that entry into the country will be allowed. The passport police have the authority to refuse you entry to the country. The agency is not responsible for this, responsibility belongs to the passenger.  

The agency is an intermediary institution between the airline and the passenger and is subject to the 28.09.1955 Hague Protocol. There may be a risk of delay on scheduled and special flights, or times may change before the current tour and flight. The agency is obliged to notify these changes as soon as possible. Our passengers have purchased the tour knowing and accepting that flight details may change. Children aged 0-2 do not pay airport tax and airport service fees. 

Panoramic city tours included in the tour package are tours organized for the general introduction of the cities and carried out panoramically with guide narration from inside the vehicle, lasting at most 2-3 hours, without museum or archaeological site entrance fees. The agency is not responsible for the failure to carry out panoramic tours, including the other tours specified in the program, if they cannot be carried out on the day and time of the tour due to local authorities not allowing visits or entry, or due to closed roads because of any event, or when the tour becomes impossible due to weather conditions. Some tours may be carried out by public transport or on foot, where possible, at closed roads or points where vehicle access is not permitted.

Tour Program
Istanbul - Havana - Varadero
We meet at Istanbul Airport International Departures Terminal and, after completing check-in procedures, depart for Havana on a Turkish Airlines flight. After a journey lasting 13 hours and 50 minutes, we arrive at José Martí International Airport in Havana. Upon arrival in Havana, we begin our city tour. During our excursion, we will see Old Havana, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, Malecón Boulevard, Revolution Square, Colón Cemetery, Miramar, and Morro Castle, where you can enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the city. After the tour, we set off for Varadero. Upon arrival in Varadero, we check into our all-inclusive hotel. We relieve the fatigue of the journey on the world-famous beaches of Varadero and in its sea. Accommodation is at our hotel.
Varadero
After breakfast, we will enjoy the sea, sand, and sun all day at our all-inclusive hotel. Accommodation is at our hotel.
Varadero - Santa Clara - Trinidad
After breakfast, we depart for Santa Clara. Upon arrival, on our Santa Clara tour, which was the scene of some of the fiercest battles during the Cuban Revolution, we will visit the Mausoleum where Che Guevara rests eternally with his 37 comrades, as well as the Armored Train. After the tour, we head to Trinidad. Upon arrival in Trinidad, we will tour this historic, charming city. In the evening, you will have the chance to watch and listen to performances by Cuban musicians and dancers in the city square. Accommodation will be at our hotel in Trinidad.
Trinidad - Cienfuegos - Havana
After breakfast, we will complete our check-out procedures from the hotel and set off to explore Cienfuegos, one of Cuba’s most beautiful cities. Founded in 1819 by French settlers and designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2005, we will tour this lovely city. At the end of the tour, we will depart for Havana. Upon arrival in Havana, we will check into our hotel. Afterwards, we will have free time. Overnight in Havana.
Havana
After breakfast at our hotel, we will depart for our Vinales & Pinar del Rio tour with lunch. Our tour will take us to the Vinales Valley, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and where the tobacco used for the world-famous Cuban cigars is grown. After approximately a 3-hour journey, we will arrive in Pinar del Rio and take a panoramic city tour. Then, we will visit the factory where Cuban cigars are officially produced and learn closely about cigar making and its culture. Guests who wish may purchase original Cuban cigars here. Afterward, we will continue to the Vinales Valley, where we will see tobacco fields and local tobacco farms. (On days when the cigar factory is closed, we will visit a local cigar farm, where we will learn about cigar making and, if we wish, have the opportunity to shop.) We will have lunch at a local restaurant during our tour. Then we will see the mural painted on the rocks depicting prehistoric life, created by painter and scientist Leovigildo González Morillo (Mural de la Prehistoria). As part of the continuation of our tour, we will visit the cave known as the “Indian Cave.” At the end of the day, after a photo break at a hill with a panoramic view over the entire Vinales Valley, we will return to Havana.
Havana
After breakfast at our hotel today, we will take a Classic Cars and Unique Havana Tour with lunch included. First, we will visit the neighborhood that was decorated over time by Jose Fuster, also known as Cuba’s Picasso, through paintings, ceramics, and drawings, turning it into an open-air exhibition. We will then continue our tour along Prado Street, one of Havana’s most pleasant avenues. We will visit the Museum of the Revolution, which was used as a palace during the Batista regime and was opened to the public as a museum after the revolution. At the Museum of the Revolution, Cuba’s largest museum, we will be able to see weapons, tanks, and belongings from the periods of the Cuban War of Independence and the Cuban Revolution. After the tour, we return to our hotel. For guests who wish to spend the evening out, we recommend the Buena Vista shows held in the city. (Note: Classic car use is for 2 hours; the rest of the tour will continue by bus.)
Havana
Today, after the breakfast we will have at the hotel, we will have a full day free. During your free time, you can explore Havana’s side streets.
Havana - Istanbul
After breakfast, transfer to the airport. Flight to Istanbul on Turkish Airlines. Our flight will make a stop in Caracas. There will be an approximately 1 hour and 35 minute wait, and we will not disembark the plane until Istanbul. We will enter the new day on the plane.
Istanbul
Arrival in Istanbul in the morning and the end of our tour. Until we meet again on your next trip..
