Visa

PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA

Our VISA PROCEDURE for CHINA tours is as follows.

Documents that need to be submitted to us

WE KINDLY REQUEST THAT THESE BE REQUESTED DIRECTLY FROM OUR GUESTS AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION AND FORWARDED TO US.

- You must send us a full-page scanned image of the passengers' passport. There should be no reflection, glare, or cropping at the edges, etc.

- A current multilingual criminal record certificate must be obtained (Guests with any criminal record cannot obtain a China visa.)

After these 2 documents are delivered to us, we request an invitation document from our local agency in China. It takes about 7 days to arrive.

After the invitation document reaches us, we forward the passenger passport, criminal record certificate, invitation text, and some documents related to us, together with the passenger contact information, to Ligarba Tourism.

Then Ligarba Tourism contacts the passengers one by one and obtains the documents from our guests. (Including the passport) and applies for a group visa. It takes about 3 weeks to be finalized and costs 200 USD per person. The visa payment is made directly to Ligarba Tourism by the guests.

Passengers applying for a China visa cannot use their passports to travel to another country during the visa application process; their passports will be at the consulate throughout the application period. Once the visa is finalized, they can collect it from Ligarba Tourism themselves, or Ligarba Tourism can courier it to our guests.

We need to start the procedures up to 65 days before the tour departure; otherwise, the visas may be at risk.

Ordinary Passport                -            Visa required

In addition, the schedule and times of the annual tours/activities may be changed by the guide depending on the opening/closing status of the museums, ruins, or venues at the destination and weather conditions.

Meals

During periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., distances of more than km are available. It is possible to provide accommodation for 3 people, but in this case, the bed offered to the 3rd person may be smaller than standard beds. A triple room consists of 1 large bed and 1 extra bed. Since extra beds are folding beds or rollaway beds, in 3rd person/child reservations, local shortages and bed type acceptance are deemed to have been declared. Child discounts are valid for one (1) child staying with 2 adults and falling within the age groups specified in the care section. The breakfasts provided within the tour program are served in accordance with the breakfast fee of the offered accommodation and are usually served as a continental breakfast with a limited menu consisting of jam, bread, tea, or coffee, and may be served in a separate hall allocated to groups.

Currency

The currency of the People's Republic of China is the Yuan. It is recommended that you bring USD and its small denominations with you.

There is a 5-hour difference between Turkey and China. When it is 12:00 in Turkey, it is 17:00 in China.

Although the climate in China, which has a very large land area, varies technically from region to region, it is generally possible to say that it is a country with four seasons. Summers in the country are extremely humid, so the heat feels stronger. Spring and autumn are mild.

Food Culture

Chinese geography has an extremely rich cuisine with regional varieties. Peking Duck, pastries prepared with different characteristics and eaten with sauces called “dumplings,” and sweet mustard sauces are the characteristics of the country's cuisine. Please remember that it is a cuisine different from Turkish cuisine.

Shopping

China is a true shopping paradise. From electronics to textiles, you can find every product you are looking for in a very wide range.

Tour Program
Istanbul - Beijing
We meet at Istanbul Airport International Departures Terminal and, after ticketing, baggage, and boarding procedures, we depart for Beijing on a scheduled Turkish Airlines flight. Upon our arrival in Beijing in the late afternoon, we transfer to our hotel to rest. Overnight at our hotel.
Pekin
After breakfast at the hotel in the morning, we set off for the Full-Day Great Wall & Summer Palace Tour with Lunch. Our first stop on the tour will be the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Great Wall of China, whose construction began in 220 BC to prevent invasions from the northern nomadic tribes of Central Asia. After visiting the Great Wall, we will have lunch and then visit the magnificent Summer Palace located on the shores of Kunming Lake. The Summer Palace is the best-preserved imperial garden and palace complex in China, located northwest of Beijing. Its history dates back to the Jin Dynasty in the 12th century, but its current form was shaped in the 18th century during the Qing Dynasty under Emperor Qianlong. The emperor had it built to escape the busy atmosphere of the main palace and to relax in touch with nature. The palace was damaged during the Second Opium War in 1860 and was later restored by Cixi using funds allocated from the state navy budget. Although known as a controversial anecdote, the palace’s present elegance is the result of the detailed restoration carried out during that period. Afterwards, we will see the Beijing Olympic Stadium, nicknamed the Bird’s Nest, from the outside and transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
Pekin
After breakfast at our hotel, we depart for the Lunch-Included Grand Beijing Tour. We will visit Tiananmen Square, which is remembered for Mao Zedong proclaiming the People’s Republic of China and for the protests in 1989 that shook the world. As one of the largest city squares in the world, this area is one of China’s important symbols. Around the square are significant buildings such as the Monument to the People’s Heroes, Mao Zedong’s Mausoleum, the Great Hall of the People, and the National Museum. After our visit to the square, we head to the Forbidden City. Located in the center of Beijing, this magnificent imperial palace was home to Chinese emperors for nearly 500 years during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Forbidden City is one of the most splendid examples of traditional Chinese architecture. Comprising approximately 980 buildings and more than 8,000 rooms, this vast complex is a symbol of the power of the Chinese empire, with its red walls, golden-roofed halls, stone courtyards, and elegant gardens. After our visit to the Forbidden City, we proceed to our Temple of Heaven tour. A sacred temple where emperors prayed to the god of heaven and wished for a good harvest during the Ming and Qing dynasties, the Temple of Heaven is designed in accordance with the Chinese cosmological belief that “the sky is round and the earth is square.” Circular structures decorated with blue tiles, wooden carvings, and expansive green spaces offer visitors a captivating atmosphere. After the tour, we return to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
Pekin - Luoyang - Dengfeng
After breakfast at our hotel in the morning, we transfer to Luoyang by high-speed train (the transfer will be by plane or train depending on availability). Upon arrival, we will visit the Longmen Grottoes. Carved into the cliffs along the Yi River, the Longmen Grottoes are a magnificent archaeological complex consisting of thousands of Buddha statues, niches, and temples, and are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Construction of this structure began in the 5th century and reached its peak during the Tang Dynasty. As a result of this massive project spanning 1,400 years, more than 100,000 Buddha statues, over 2,000 niches, more than 60 pagodas, and 2,800 inscriptions were created. After our visit, we transfer to Dengfeng. Overnight at our hotel.
Dengfeng - Luoyang - Xi’an
In the morning, after the breakfast we will have at the hotel, we depart for the Shaolin Temple Tour with Lunch (130 USD). Located at the foot of Song Mountain, this temple is one of the most famous temples of Chinese Buddhism and was built in the 5th century. It is not only a religious center, but also known as the birthplace of Kung Fu. Founded 1,500 years ago during the Northern Wei Dynasty, the temple quickly became one of the most important Buddhist temples. Over the centuries, the monks developed a special system combining meditation and physical endurance, turning martial arts into part of a spiritual discipline. The temple also houses sacred structures such as the Mahavira Hall and the Bronze Statue Hall. In addition, there is the Pagoda Forest at the back, which contains more than 240 specially constructed stone pagodas. Each of these stones is the grave of a monk, and each one was erected in the name of an important monk who lived here. Today, the Shaolin Temple is on the UNESCO World Heritage List and showcases the depth of Chinese culture. After our tour, we go to Luoyang for the transfer to Xi’an. Upon our arrival in Luoyang, we take the high-speed train to Xi’an and transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
Xian
After breakfast at the hotel in the morning, we depart for the Terracotta Museum & Muslim Quarter tour with lunch included. We will visit the museum of the “Underground Army,” known as the Terra Cotta Warriors, one of the most important archaeological discoveries of the 20th century, built to protect the tomb of China’s first emperor, Shi Huang. Discovered accidentally by a farmer in 1974, this army is home to 8,000 “terra cotta,” or “baked clay,” soldiers, each with a different facial expression and posture. These statues were prepared as a “spirit army,” believed to protect the emperor even after his death. During our visit, we will have the opportunity to see the emperor’s power and the level of craftsmanship of his era. After the tour, we return to Xi’an. Before transferring to our hotel, we will visit the Muslim Quarter, founded by Muslim merchants according to their own traditions and customs. With its lively bazaar, local shops, and restaurants, we observe cultural interaction and distinction. At the end of the tour, we transfer to our hotel to rest. Overnight at our hotel.

Upon arrival, we will enjoy a pleasant boat tour on West Lake, which has become a symbol of love and loyalty with its scenery and legends, such as a love story that took place thousands of years ago. After the tour, we visit the Longjing Tea Fields, where one of China’s most famous green teas is grown. We will learn about the tea-making process and observe the lush green fields. Then we head to Hefang Cultural Street. Guests will have free time in the area, where they can purchase various handicrafts. Afterwards, we transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
Hangzhou - Shanghai
After breakfast at the hotel, we transfer to Shanghai. Our tour’s first stop is Zhujiajiao, known as “Shanghai’s Water Town” and also called “The Venice of China.” In this ancient town, which has managed to preserve its traditional architecture to the present day, we take a walk among streets and canals whose history dates back 1,700 years. We explore stone bridges, historic houses, and local market areas, feeling the peaceful atmosphere of ancient China. After our enchanting boat tour on the canals, we transfer to our hotel.
