Participation Requirement

This tour is organized with a minimum participation requirement of 15 people.  If sufficient participation is not reached, the final cancellation notice date is 20 days before the tour start date. The tour canceled due to insufficient participation will be notified to you through your agency.

You must have a passport valid for 6 months from the end date of the trip and not older than 10 years.For destinations requiring a visa, the visa application must be submitted with the documents specified in the “Documents Required for Visa” list that your agency will provide for the visa application. To avoid problems with customs police at the border of the country to be visited due to torn, worn, wet and/or similarly damaged passports; such passports must be renewed, and if the country applies visas to Turkish citizens, the relevant visa must be in the new passport. Otherwise, responsibility belongs to the passenger. For our guests under 18 traveling alone or with only one of their mother or father, there is a possibility that the police officer at entry/exit may request a document showing the joint consent of the parents; therefore, we recommend that our guests under 18 and their parents pay attention to this.

Health

It is recommended that those who take regular medication bring more medicine than they need. Because not all kinds of medicine are available in the country. In addition, if you have a serious health problem (heart, blood pressure, diabetes, etc.), it would be useful to carry a signed document from your doctor. Also, we recommend that you do not drink tap water and that you drink bottled water that you open yourself for the first time.

Extra Tours & Activities

Extra tours and activities are organized by the local agency we work with with a minimum participation requirement of 20 people, and participation is not mandatory. If the required number is not reached, the excursions cannot be held, or the prices, content, and vehicle used for extra tours / activities may vary according to the number of participants. In addition, the days and times of extra tours / activities may be changed by the guide depending on the opening/closing status of museums, ruins, or venues at the destination and weather conditions.

Accommodation

During periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., hotels may be used at distances greater than those specified in kilometers. 

Child discounts are valid for only one (1) child staying with 2 adults and matching the age group specified in the pricing section.

Breakfasts taken at the hotel from the services included in the tour program are served in accordance with the breakfast culture of the country visited and generally as a limited menu called continental breakfast, consisting of butter, jam, bread, tea, or coffee, and may be served in a separate hall allocated to the group for groups.

Currency

The currency of Japan is the Yen (JPY).. For this trip, we recommend that you bring USD with you and also have small denominations of it with you.

Time Zone

There is a +6 hour difference between Turkey and both countries. When it is 12.00 in Turkey, it is 18.00. in the countries we will visit.

Clothing and Necessary Items

We recommend that you bring T-shirts that you can easily put on and take off, short- and long-sleeved shirts, cotton trousers, comfortable walking shoes, and a light jacket or cardigan. We advise you to prefer non-synthetic and cotton clothing. You may also bring a raincoat and umbrella in case of rain. In addition, you may also bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, earplugs for possible noise, a camera, a video camera, and their chargers and spare memory cards.

Important Notes

Having a valid passport and/or having obtained a visa (for destinations/passports requiring a visa) does not mean that entry into the country is guaranteed. The passport police have the authority to refuse you entry to the country. Papua Tur is not responsible for this situation; responsibility belongs to the passenger. Papua is an intermediary institution between the airline and the passenger and is subject to the Hague Protocol of 28.09.1955. There may be a risk of delays on scheduled and special flights, or hours may change before the current trip and flight. Papua is obliged to notify these changes as soon as possible. Our passengers have purchased the tour knowing and accepting that flight details may change. Children aged 0-2 do not pay airport tax and airport service fees. Panoramic city tours included in the tour package are tours organized for the general introduction of cities, lasting at most 2-3 hours, conducted panoramically from inside the vehicle with guide commentary, and not including museum or site entrance fees. Papua Tur is not responsible for the inability to carry out panoramic tours, including the other tours specified in the program, if they cannot be held on the day and time of the tour due to conditions where visiting or entry is not permitted by local authorities, or because of closed roads due to any event, or if the tour becomes impossible due to weather conditions. Some tours may be carried out by public transportation or on foot, where possible, in places with closed roads or where vehicle access is not allowed.

Tour Program
Istanbul – Tokyo
We meet at Istanbul Airport International Terminal. After ticketing and baggage procedures, we take a Turkish Airlines flight to Tokyo. Overnight on the plane.
Tokyo
We arrive in Tokyo early in the morning. Immediately after our arrival and completing passport and entry procedures, we will take our panoramic Tokyo city tour. On the first stop of our city tour, we visit the famous Asakusa District and Sensoji Temple. We continue with Ginza, Japan’s most famous shopping street. Named after the silver “gin” and guild “za” after a silver coin mint was established there in 1612, this avenue offers unlimited shopping opportunities. At the end of our tour, we will visit the Shibuya district, which includes the statue of Hachiko, Japan’s famous dog, and the pedestrian crossing used by 1 million people a day. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
Tokyo
After breakfast at our hotel, we join the Fuji & Kawaguchi tour. On our tour, we first head to Sacred Mount Fuji, which has been revered and worshipped by the Japanese people since ancient times and is the highest mountain in Japan at 3,776 meters. After reaching a suitable point where we can approach this magnificent mountain, we visit the historic Oshinohakkai, one of the most beautiful villages in Japan. We then visit Arakurayama Sengen Park, where you can capture one of the most iconic Mount Fuji-themed views in Japan. Finally, on a boat trip on Lake Kawaguchi, we will enjoy some time in this natural wonder and have the opportunity to take photos. At the end of the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
Tokyo
After breakfast at our hotel, we join the Kamakura and Yokohama tour. First, we continue discovering the country through the Kamakura region, Tokyo’s oldest historic city. Kamakura is the birthplace of the first established shogunate system. We begin our visit with Kotoku Temple, a Buddhist temple belonging to the Jōdo-shū sect. The temple is famous for the Great Buddha statue of Kamakura, one of Japan’s most iconic symbols. We also visit Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, one of the most important Shinto shrines in Japan, and Komachi-dori Street, experiencing the city’s cultural fabric. Afterwards, we travel to Yokohama, Japan’s third-largest city with a population of 3.7 million. There, we visit Yokohama Chinatown, the largest Chinatown in Japan with a history of 160 years. At the end of our tour, we will have free time in the Motomachi district, the city’s most central avenue where we can see its urban character. Then transfer to the hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
Tokyo
After our breakfast at the hotel, we will have a full day at leisure. You may spend time in the city following our guide’s directions.
Tokyo – Osaka
After breakfast at our hotel, we complete our check-out procedures. Then we head to the train station and begin our journey to Osaka by Shinkansen (Bullet Train). Osaka is traditionally regarded as the “Kitchen of the Nation” or the gourmet food capital of Japan. Literally, Osaka means “Big Hill” or “Great Slope.” In our city tour in Osaka, we first begin with Osaka Castle, built in the 16th century and one of the finest examples of Japanese architecture. The castle was constructed by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, who ruled Japan and unified the nation between 1585 and 1598, and it is known that an average of 100,000 workers took part in its construction. After Osaka Castle, we visit Shitennoji Temple, one of Japan’s oldest temples. Shitennoji is one of the oldest temples in Japan and was built in 593 by the Japanese Prince Shotoku. After these visits, we will have free time in Osaka’s markets, where we will have the opportunity to explore the city’s culinary spots, considered a paradise for shopping and dining. At the end of the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
Osaka
After breakfast at our hotel, we will proceed with the Nara & Outlet tour. First, we will go to Nara, which is one hour away and was one of Japan’s former capitals, as well as the cradle of Japanese arts, crafts, literature, culture, and industry, and visit Todaiji Temple. Todaji is not only the largest wooden structure in the world, but also houses the world’s largest Buddha statue. In Nara Park, we will also see the Nara deer; we can feed them by hand and take selfies with them. Then our route will be Rinku Premium Outlets. Osaka
After breakfast at our hotel, we begin our Kyoto tour. The first stop of our tour will be the Kinkakuji Temple, made of gold. Kinkakuji Temple is an iconic Zen Buddhist temple in Kyoto, famous for its gold-plated exterior and elegant architecture beside a pond. Next, we visit Fushimi Inari Shrine, where the film “Memoirs of a Geisha” was also shot. Here, we will visit hundreds of Torii gates lined up one after another. Then, we will visit the mystical atmosphere of the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, located in the Arashiyama area. At the end of the tour, we will have free time in the Gion district, famous for its geishas. After the free time, we will meet at the time determined by our guide and head to our hotel in Osaka. Overnight at our hotel.
Osaka – Istanbul
After breakfast at our hotel, we will have free time until the time designated by our guide. Afterwards, we will take our Turkish Airlines scheduled flight to Istanbul. Overnight on the plane.
