Optional tours and activities are organized by the local agency from which we receive service with a minimum participation requirement of 20 people, and participation is not mandatory. If sufficient numbers are not reached, the excursions may not take place, or the prices, content, and vehicles used for optional tours/activities may vary depending on the number of participants. In addition, the days and times of optional tours/activities may be changed by the guide according to the opening/closing status of museums, archaeological sites, or venues in the destinations to be visited, and according to weather conditions.

ACCOMMODATION

During periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., hotels may be used at distances greater than those stated in kilometers.

Triple rooms may be provided depending on hotel availability, and the bed offered to the 3rd person in such rooms may be smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed and 1 extra bed. Since extra beds are folding beds and so-called coach beds, participants making 3rd person and/or child reservations are deemed to have declared that they accept the cramped conditions that may occur in the rooms and the bed type.

Child discounts are valid for only one (1) child staying with 2 adults and matching the age group specified in the pricing section.

Breakfasts included in the tour program and taken at the hotel are served in accordance with the breakfast culture of the country and are generally presented as a limited menu called continental breakfast, consisting of butter, jam, bread, tea, or coffee, and may be served for groups in a separate hall allocated to the group.

CURRENCY

The currency of Sri Lanka is the Sri Lankan Rupee. It is advisable to have US Dollars (USD) with you.

TIME ZONE

There is a +3 hours 30 minutes difference between Sri Lanka and Turkey. When it is 12.00 in Turkey, it is 15.30 in the country as well.

CLOTHING AND NECESSARY ITEMS

We recommend that you bring T-shirts that you can easily put on and take off, short- and long-sleeved shirts, shorts and cotton trousers, comfortable walking shoes, and a light jacket for the evenings, as well as beachwear. In addition, you may also bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, earplugs against possible noise, a camera, a video camera, and their chargers and spare memory cards. When entering Buddhist temples in the country, shorts, skirts, clothing that leaves the shoulders exposed, and tight-fitting clothes should be avoided. We recommend that women bring a thin shawl or scarf. Also, since shoes and socks are removed when entering such buildings, we advise you to use shoes and sandals that are easy to put on and take off.

CUISINE

The country has a cuisine made up of its own spicy dishes. Still, in the hotels where we will stay, you can find restaurants offering samples from world cuisines.

ELECTRICITY

Generally 200-220 V is used. In India, British-type three-pin sockets are used. Two-pin plugs like the ones we use fit many socket types. In places where the sockets do not fit, universal plug adapters sold in electronics stores can be obtained to avoid problems.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Having a valid passport and/or having obtained a visa (for a destination/passport requiring a visa) does not necessarily mean that entry into the country will be granted. The passport police have the authority to refuse you entry into the country. The agency is not responsible for this situation; responsibility lies with the passenger.

The agency is an intermediary institution between the airline and the passenger and is subject to the Hague Protocol dated 28.09.1955. There may be a risk of delays on scheduled and special flights, or the times before the current trip and flight may change. The agency is obliged to notify these changes as soon as possible. Our passengers have purchased the tour knowing and accepting that flight details may change. Children aged 0-2 do not pay airport tax and airport service fees.

The panoramic city tours included in the tour package are tours organized for the general introduction of the cities and last at most 2-3 hours, carried out panoramically from the vehicle with guide narration, excluding museum and archaeological site entrances. The agency is not responsible if panoramic tours, including the other tours specified in the program, cannot be carried out on the day and time of the tour due to closed roads because visits or entry are not permitted by local authorities, or due to any event, and likewise in cases where it becomes impossible to conduct the tour because of weather conditions.
