PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENT

This tour is organized with a minimum participation requirement of 40 people. If sufficient participation is not achieved, the final cancellation notice date is 20 days before the tour starts. The tour canceled due to insufficient participation will be notified to you through your travel agency.

HEALTH

There is no vaccination requirement for entry into Italy. We do not think you will encounter any problem that may threaten your health with the meals to be taken at the region’s good restaurants and hotels. However, when you are not with the group, we recommend that you be careful about food and drinks, definitely consume bottled water, avoid ice, milk and dairy products, consume meat and fish products that you are sure are well cooked, and for fruit, eat fruits that can be peeled such as bananas and pineapples.

OPTIONAL TOURS & ACTIVITIES

Optional tours and Activities are organized by the local agency we use with a minimum participation requirement of 20 people, and participation is not mandatory. If the required number is not reached, excursions cannot be carried out, or optional tour / activity prices, content, and the vehicle to be used may vary depending on the number of participants. In addition, the days and times of optional tours / activities may be changed by the guide according to the open/closed status of museums, archaeological sites or venues in the places to be visited and according to weather conditions.

ACCOMMODATION

During periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., hotels may be used at distances greater than the specified km. 

3-person rooms may be provided depending on the availability of the hotels, and the bed provided for the 3rd person in such rooms may be smaller than standard beds. 3-person rooms consist of 1 large bed and 1 extra bed. Since extra beds are folding beds and/or so-called coach beds, participants are deemed to have declared that they accept the possible congestion in the rooms and the bed type for 3rd person and/or child reservations. 

Child discounts are valid for only one (1) child staying with 2 adults and falling within the age group specified in the pricing section. 

Breakfasts included among the services in the tour program are served at the hotel in accordance with the breakfast culture of the country visited and generally with a limited menu called continental breakfast, consisting of butter, jam, bread, tea or coffee, and may be served in a separate hall allocated to the group.

CURRENCY

The currency of Azerbaijan is the Azerbaijani Manat (AZN).
However, USD or EUR are accepted in many places. It is recommended to have USD or EUR with you. Currency exchange can be done at hotels or exchange offices in the city center.

TIME ZONE

Azerbaijan is 1 hour ahead of Turkey.

(When it is 12:00 Turkey time, it is 13:00 in Baku.)

CLOTHING AND NECESSARY ITEMS

For the summer season: Light clothing, t-shirts, cotton trousers, sunscreen, a hat, comfortable walking shoes, and a light jacket/sweater for the evening coolness are recommended. For the winter season: A coat to protect against the cold, sweater, scarf, gloves, and thick shoes are recommended.

FOOD CULTURE

Azerbaijani cuisine is very close to Turkish cuisine. Meat-heavy dishes, kebab varieties, stuffed dishes, and rice dishes are quite common. Among local flavors, unique tastes such as “plov,” “dushbere,” “kutab,” and “shah plov” stand out. Drinks such as turnip juice and kefir are also consumed locally.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Having a valid passport and/or having obtained a visa (for destinations/passports requiring a visa) does not mean that entry into the country is guaranteed. The passport police have the authority to refuse you entry. The agency is not responsible for this situation; responsibility lies with the passenger.  

The agency is an intermediary institution between the airline and the passenger and is subject to the Hague Protocol dated 28.09.1955. There may be a risk of delay on scheduled and special flights, or the times before the current tour and flight may change. The agency is obliged to notify these changes as soon as possible. Our passengers have purchased the tour knowing and accepting that flight details may change. Children aged 0-2 do not pay airport tax and airport services fee. 

Panoramic city tours included in the tour package are tours organized for the general introduction of cities, lasting at most 2-3 hours, conducted panoramically from the vehicle with guide commentary and not including museum or archaeological site entrances. The agency is not responsible if panoramic tours, including other tours specified in the program, are not carried out on the day and time of the tour due to roads closed by local authorities, roads closed due to any event, or when the tour becomes impossible due to weather conditions. Some tours may be conducted by public transport or on foot where possible at points where roads are closed or vehicle entry is not permitted.

Tour Program
Istanbul - Baku
We depart for Baku on a scheduled Turkish Airlines flight after meeting at Istanbul Airport International Terminal. Upon arrival, after completing our passport and baggage procedures, we will take a panoramic Baku tour with our private vehicle. On this tour, we enjoy a pleasant journey through Baku’s streets adorned with lights. Passing along the roads by the Caspian Sea, admiring the city’s modern architecture and historical texture, we discover the city under the night lights and experience an unforgettable Baku tour. After the tour, transfer to our hotel by vehicle. Overnight at our hotel.
Baku
After breakfast at our hotel in the morning, we will take a city tour of Baku. Our first stop will be Icheri Sheher (Old City), which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List and is considered the heart of the city. Here, we will take a journey from the past to the present among the Maiden Tower, the Shirvanshahs’ Palace, narrow streets, old caravanserais, and traditional bazaars. After a short free time around noon, we will visit important landmarks of modern Baku, such as the Flame Towers and Baku Boulevard along the Caspian Sea, with photo stops along the way. Next, we will visit the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center, which has become a symbol of Baku and was designed by the award-winning architect Zaha Hadid, an exceptional blend of art, history, and culture. After getting to know Azerbaijani history closely at the Heydar Aliyev Museum and touring the culture and art exhibitions, we will proceed to the Ghanimets Park. At this impressive open-air museum, where military vehicles, weapons, and equipment captured in the Second Karabakh War are displayed, we will capture unique photos witnessing history and receive important information about the Karabakh war. At the end of our tour, we will transfer to the hotel. Afterwards, free time. Overnight at our hotel.
Baku - Gobustan & Mud Volcanoes
After breakfast at our hotel in Baku, we depart for the Gobustan Rock Art and Mud Volcanoes tour. In this special area located approximately 60 km from the city center, we visit the Gobustan Open-Air Museum with our guide, where we will see prehistoric rock drawings, dance scenes, and hunting scenes. In the continuation of the tour, the Mud Volcanoes area, which we will reach by off-road vehicles, is a very interesting spot for nature lovers. We take a photo break at the craters formed by the cold mud rising from the earth’s surface. After the tour, we return to Baku and transfer to the hotel, where we will have free time. Overnight at our hotel.
Baku - Istanbul
After breakfast at our hotel in Baku, the rest of the day will be at your leisure. Guests who wish may shop on Nizami Street or in the surrounding area, or enjoy pleasant walks along the streets of Baku. In the evening, transfer to the airport at the time determined by our guide. We depart for Istanbul on Turkish Airlines scheduled flight, and upon arrival our tour comes to an end. See you on our next trip.
