Santiago, Chile - Valparaíso - Santiago, Chile
After breakfast at our hotel, we set off for Valparaíso, located 115 kilometers west of Santiago on the Pacific coast. This city, where Nobel Prize-winning poet Pablo Neruda lived for many years, has always held a special significance for artists, bohemians, and romantics. Until the late 19th century, Valparaíso was a critical port where ships traveling from the Atlantic to the Pacific stopped, and from which Chile’s rich copper mines opened up to the world. It lost this strategic importance with the opening of the Panama Canal in 1914. Today, however, with its colorful houses, steep hills, and vibrant street art, it has become an open-air museum and earned a place on the UNESCO World Heritage List. After our tour of Valparaíso, we reach the neighboring city of Viña del Mar after a short journey. Known as the place where Chile’s first vineyards were established, this city gradually transformed as the cold nights along the Pacific coast pushed viticulture inland. Today, it has taken on the identity of a stylish coastal city, with its summer villas, palm-lined boulevards, and casinos. We will take a lunch break among the vineyards of this city, world-famous for its wines, and experience these exceptional flavors through a wine tasting. Following our visit to Viña del Mar, we begin our journey back to Santiago. Overnight at our hotel.
Santiago de Chile
After breakfast at our hotel, we begin our city tour to delve deeply into Santiago’s historical and cultural heritage. Our first stop is Plaza de Armas, the heart of the city. Framed by magnificent colonial-era buildings, this historic square carries Santiago’s centuries-old memory. We take a closer look at the Metropolitan Cathedral and the former National Congress Building surrounding the square. We then move on to Bellavista, the city’s most colorful and artistic neighborhood. In this district, home to Pablo Neruda’s iconic house, La Chascona, we stroll among street art, lively restaurants, and boutique shops. From there, we continue to Barrio Italia, exploring its antique shops, local designers’ studios, and distinctive atmosphere. Overnight at our hotel.
Santiago de Chile - Istanbul
After breakfast at the hotel, we will transfer to Santiago Airport. Once we have completed baggage check-in and passport formalities, we will board our flight to Istanbul. Overnight on board.
Istanbul
Our arrival in Istanbul will be around noon. Until we meet again for a new discovery.
