Afterwards, we will see the historic Hanseatic houses, Håkon’s Palace, and the Kreuzberg Tower, and the house of the famous composer Grieg on the shore of Nordåsvatnet Lake. On the way back, we will stop at higher hills and have the chance to view Bergen from a bird’s-eye perspective. In addition, we will take Bergen’s famous funicular up to Mt. Floien (Floyen) and enjoy a panoramic view of Bergen from above. After the tour, we will return to our ship. Our ship will depart from the port at 17:00.
Hellesylt – Geiranger
Our ship will dock at Hellesylt port at 08:30 in the morning. After breakfast, we begin our “Hellesylt & Geiranger Tour” with our private vehicle waiting for us at the port. These two enchanting villages at the fork at the end of Storfjord were once postal ports in the north; today, due to the difficulty of overland access, they are among Norway’s favorite cruise ports in the north, with an average of 180 ship visits per year. We begin our tour by greeting Hellesylt Waterfall... Originally the postal route heading north, it is now a tourism center. We set off on our way. Our first stop is the Bridal Veil Stone and the stone bridge dating back to the 1800s. Then we head to Lake Hornindal, the deepest lake in Europe, and take a break there. After getting back on the road, our next stop is Stryn, one of the most lively towns in the region. In Stryn, where the royal family especially comes to fish, after seeing the stone bridge, you will be given free time for shopping and coffee/lunch. Then, after a break at the foot of Lake Djupvatnet, if the weather is good, you will be mesmerized by the view from the terrace of Dalsnibba Mountain at an altitude of 1476 m. Later, we will stop at the Flydal viewpoint and this time photograph Geiranger Fjord. In the final stage of our tour, we descend the road with 10 hairpin turns and a 180-degree angle to arrive at the port where our ship is anchored. Dinner and overnight on board. Our ship will depart from the port at 20:00.

The road along Storfjord from Sjøholt will take you through Stordal and its Rose Church (built in 1789) to Valldal, famous for its delicious strawberries. The next stop will be at the breathtaking Gudbrandsjuvet, a 5-meter-wide and 20-25-meter-deep valley. You can walk across the gorge on a bridge from one side to the other. From here, the bus will continue through Reinheimen National Park to the Trollstigen plateau. Enjoy the magnificent views of the Troll Road (Trollstigen), the mountains King, Queen, and Bishop, as well as the Stigfossen waterfall. As we descend Trollstigen, the driver will safely navigate the bus through 11 sharp hairpin bends. At the lower part of the Troll Road, there will be an extra photo stop where you can take the best pictures of Stigfossen. Next, we will visit Trollveggen, the Troll Wall, Europe’s highest vertical rock face. After this stop, it is time to return to Ålesund. Then we will return to Ålesund and take a panoramic city tour of Ålesund. After the tour, we will return to our ship. Our ship will depart from the port at 17:00. Dinner and overnight on board.
