Istanbul Airport – Catania
Meeting with our valued guests at 03:00 at the Istanbul Airport International Departures Terminal. After baggage drop, passport control, and check-in procedures, we will depart for Catania on Turkish Airlines flight TK1393 at 07:00. Arrival in Catania is scheduled for 08:25 local time. From there, we will proceed to Mount Etna by our waiting vehicle. En route, we will have the opportunity to capture stunning photographs of Mount Etna, embracing us with its lush vegetation and breathtaking scenery. As we ascend Europe's highest active volcano, we will pass the second crater, Silvestri, located at an altitude of 1,800 meters. Continuing our tour through the lava-formed landscape of Mount Etna, we will enjoy beautiful views along the way. Next, we will travel to Syracuse. In Syracuse, the historic city where the renowned mathematician Archimedes once lived, notable sights include the Arethusa Fountain, the Cathedral, the Diana Fountain, and the Temple of Apollo. After the tour, we will head to the hotel. Following check-in, you will have free time. Overnight stay at our hotel.
Savoca – Taormina – Giardini Naxos – Catania
After breakfast, we begin our full-day tour at the time specified by our guide. In Savoca, we will visit the iconic filming locations of the world-famous film "The Godfather," including Bar Vitelli and San Michele Church. After strolling through streets that feel straight out of the movie, we head to Taormina, the pearl of the Ionian Sea and Sicily's most beautiful coastal town. With its breathtaking views, location at the foot of Mount Tauro, charming streets, and souvenir shops, this delightful city is a must-visit. From there, we proceed to Giardini Naxos, renowned for its colorful streets and volcanic beach. Established in 734 BC as Sicily's first Greek colony, this historic site offers unforgettable photo opportunities. Following the visit, we return to our hotel for an overnight stay.
Catania – Cefalù – Palermo
After breakfast, we complete our hotel check-out procedures and head to the city center of Catania. Our panoramic city tour includes visits to the Duomo Cathedral, Fontana dell'Elefante, Piazza della Repubblica (Republic Square), and Via Etnea. Next, we travel to Cefalù. In this charming fishing town on the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea, we admire the 12th-century historic cathedral and the Fishermen's Gate, while enjoying leisurely time in its unique streets. After the excursion, we arrive at our hotel in Palermo for an overnight stay.
Erice – Castellammare del Golfo – Monreale – Palermo
After breakfast, we depart at the time set by our guide for Erice, a typical medieval city characterized by its walls, stone houses with courtyards, and narrow streets. During the free time here, you will feel as though you have stepped back into the Middle Ages. Next, we proceed to Castellammare del Golfo, one of Trapani's small yet impressive towns, renowned for its historic fabric and natural beauty. Its long beach and the Arab-Norman Castle are among the highlights. We then visit Monreale Cathedral, one of Sicily's most important monuments, bearing traces of Norman, Byzantine, and Islamic art. The cathedral is famous for its 6,500 square meters of mosaics and is considered one of the finest examples of Norman-era art. Afterward, we return to Palermo's city center, where notable sights include Politeama Square, Quattro Canti Square, Via Roma, and Via Libertà. We spend the night at our hotel.
Palermo – Istanbul Airport
After breakfast, we complete our hotel check-out procedures and depart for Palermo Airport at the time specified by our guide. Following passport and baggage formalities, we board Turkish Airlines flight TK1374, departing Istanbul at 09:25. We arrive at Istanbul Airport at 13:00 local time, marking the end of our tour.
