Participation Condition

This trip is operated with a minimum participation requirement of 24 people.  If sufficient participation is not reached, the final cancellation notification date is 20 days before the tour start date. The tour canceled due to insufficient participation will be notified to you through your agency.

Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan do not require visas for citizens of the Republic of Türkiye.

You must have a passport valid for 6 months from the end date of travel and not older than 10 years.

In destinations requiring a visa, the visa application must be made with the documents specified in the “Documents Required for Visa” list that your agency will provide to you. In order to avoid problems with customs police at the border of the country to be visited due to torn, worn, wet and/or similarly damaged passports; such passports must be renewed, and if the destination is a country that applies visas to citizens of the Republic of Türkiye, the relevant visa must be obtained in the new passport. Otherwise, responsibility belongs to the passenger. As our guests under the age of 18 travel alone or with only one of their parents, there is a possibility that the police officer at the country entry/exit may request a document showing the mutual consent of the parents; therefore, we recommend that our guests under 18 and their parents pay special attention to this matter.

Health

Those who use medication regularly are advised to bring more medicine than they need. Because not all kinds of medicine can be found in the country. In addition, if you have a serious health problem (heart, blood pressure, diabetes, etc.), it will be useful to carry a signed document from your doctor. Also, we recommend that you do not drink tap water and instead drink bottled water that you open yourself for the first time.

Optional Tours & Activities

Optional tours and activities are organized by the local agency from which we receive service with a minimum participation requirement of 20 people, and participation is not mandatory. If the required number is not reached, the trips may not be held, or the prices, content, and vehicle used for optional tours/activities may vary depending on the number of participants. In addition, the days and times of optional tours/activities may be changed by the guide according to the opening/closing status of museums, ruins, or venues in the places to be visited and according to weather conditions.

Accommodation

During periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., hotels may be used at distances greater than the stated km. Triple rooms may be provided depending on hotel availability, and the bed provided for the 3rd person in such rooms may be smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed and 1 extra bed. Since extra beds are folding or coach beds, participants are deemed to have accepted the possible congestion in the rooms and the bed type in 3rd person and/or child reservations. Child discounts are valid for only one (1) child staying with 2 adults and matching the age group specified in the pricing section. Breakfasts received at the hotel among the services included in the tour program are offered according to the breakfast culture of the country where you are, and generally with a limited menu called continental breakfast consisting of butter, jam, bread, tea or coffee, and may be served in a separate hall allocated to the group for groups.

Currency

The currency of Uzbekistan is the Uzbekistani (UZS) som.

Dollars and euros can be exchanged easily. Although credit card use is not very common, caution should be taken against credit card fraud.

Time Zone

Uzbekistan + 2, when it is 12:00 in Türkiye, it is 14:00 in Uzbekistan.

Clothing and Required Items

If you are going in the summer season, we recommend bringing easily removable t-shirts, short- and long-sleeved shirts, cotton trousers, shorts, comfortable walking shoes, a light jacket and a light sweater for the evenings. In addition, you can bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, earplugs against possible noise, a camera, video camera and their chargers and spare memory cards. In winter, we recommend clothing that allows easy movement and keeps you warm.

Food Culture

Uzbek cuisine is close to our taste. Since we will have our meals at our hotel and the best restaurants, you will not encounter any problems; moreover, we will have the opportunity to provide bottled water wherever we go. We should never consume food sold outdoors or water flowing from the tap. Since the hotels we will stay in are high-level facilities in terms of health information, these risks are minimal.

Electricity

Generally 200-220 V is used. Two-pin plugs like the ones we use fit many socket types. In places where sockets do not fit, universal plug adapters sold in electronics stores can be obtained to avoid problems.

Shopping

Pushkin Street in Tashkent is one of the city’s important shopping spots. The best way to find Uzbekistan-specific items is at the neighborhood markets. The most famous among the many neighborhood markets is the Chorsu bazaar.  OSH bazaar, located west of the city center, is one of the city’s most popular shopping centers.

Important Notes

Having a valid passport and/or obtaining a visa (for visa-required destinations/passports) does not necessarily mean that entry into the country will be granted. The passport police have the authority not to let you into the country. Papuatur is not responsible for this situation; responsibility belongs to the passenger. Papuatur is an intermediary institution between the airline and the passenger and is subject to the Hague Protocol of 28.09.1955. There may be a risk of delay on scheduled and private flights, or times may change before the existing trip and flight. Papuatur is obliged to notify these changes as soon as possible. Our passengers have purchased the tour knowing and accepting that flight details may change. Children aged 0-2 do not pay airport tax and airport service fee. Panoramic city tours included in the tour package are tours organized for the general introduction of cities and carried out panoramically from the vehicle with guide commentary, lasting at most 2-3 hours and not including museum or archaeological site entrance fees. Papuatur is not responsible for the fact that panoramic tours, including other tours specified in the program, cannot be carried out if, on the day and time of the tour, they are not permitted to be visited or entered by local authorities, or if they do not take place due to closed roads caused by any event, or when the tour becomes impossible due to weather conditions. Some tours may be conducted by public transportation or on foot, where possible, in areas with closed roads or where vehicle access is not permitted.
